Genesis Fertility & Reproductive Medicine - Queens

Please do not go to the Queens location. They are unable to draw blood properly, which has resulted in scar tissue on my good vein. Considering youll need to go for blood draws every two days for weeks/month, if someone cannot draw blood effectively, it can make the experience torturous. Gina could only draw from one vein, and when others saw my bruised and black vein, they remarked, lets give that a break. The staff in Brooklyn have informed me that many patients have similar complaints about the Queens location. Unfortunately, it seems to be standard practice for them to poke multiple times without any regard for patient comfort.In one incident, I was stuck five times, including in my hand, and when Gina attempted a sixth time, I had to refuse. When I mentioned this to my doctor, she initially brushed it off by saying, well, that happens for some people. However, when I pointed out the five attempts, Dr. Chiware reluctantly admitted, well no, thats a lot. I sent picture and have never had this happen to me. Gina frequently makes excuses, such as claiming I didnt drink enough water or eat, to justify why she cant draw blood. Today, I was poked three times, and Gina wanted to try for a fourth. When I declined, she asked, “where do you want me to go,” as if that would somehow resolve the situation. This is completely unacceptable.I have since switched fertility clinics, and they were able to draw blood successfully on the first attempt, without any excuses on a team with rotation staffers. Each staffer had no issue with one poke. Do not let Genesis convince you that your veins are the problem or that this experience is normal, especially if you have never had issues at this severity before. The problem lies with their phlebotomist, and they refuse to take accountability. Please take into account the significant pain this process causes from multiple injections in the stomach and back, and the added inconvenience of multiple stabs for a single blood draw every 2 days. It is not worth it; start somewhere good.

I had been going to queens location for monitoring for a few months. Always friendly and quick. Even in one hectic morning, where Gina was the only one dealing with so many patients, she made sure everyone was satisfied with the provided care. Thank you !

They are the worst do not go there, lots of nurse practice.One of the nurse ask my husband to take my blood test cause she was scared.
