I have been having the worst hip pain that has not gotten better in three days. I usually go to the Logan Square clinic, but I know sometimes they don’t have a x-ray at every location (Which is common for most urgent cares) so I just called a few and I found out they have one. I had to make a later appointment around 7:30 due to waiting for my husband to come home to be with our special needs child. The waiting room has quite a few people which is expected around this time of year, and definitely still beats waiting in a crowded emergency room with not only patients walking in, but ambulance is bringing in patients. Everyone was so wonderful. I love that they have a iPad that you can check-in, in case front desk is with another patient. Front desk was so sweet and polite to everyone, my provider was awesome, but Bridget, the x-ray tech 100% deserves shout out. I did not realize that it was already passed 830 maybe 9 o’clock (they close at 8) when I left and got into my car, nobody rushed me, they treated me like they were in a hurry. She still was so pleasant as can be as if she was starting the day, and that means the world. I wish I could’ve made my appointment earlier in the day, but being a special-needs mom, I don’t have a lot of people I can help take care of my son and I really appreciate that everyone was so patient and caring.we used to go to physicians immediate care, but the location at Logan Square is hands-down the most convenient and a deal breaker. I am a mom of six and it’s such a blessing to literally go somewhere so close to home if anything comes up with one of the kids. I am so glad thankful!
This is the third or fourth time I go into this clinic as a walk in and I am always treated very nicely. Sometimes there’s a long wait but their service is worth it. They are much more thorough than other clinics when you’re a walk in. They make you feel comfortable. I love that they always take my worries seriously. They answer all the questions in a very friendly way & they’re very knowledgeable.
I am more than pleased with the care that I received from the team at the Midwest Express Clinic. Dr. Jack Zandstra is thorough, very attentive, and has outstanding effectiveness through employing the best ways to rapidly identify and solve the core issues of your suffering. He called me HIMSELF the same day of my X-Rays to walk me through the results. The rest of the staff was pleasant and super comfortable. The phlebotomy tech was great at her lab drawing.Im very appreciative to have found this group of providers.
Quick and efficient. Exactly what you want from Urgent Care. I had a cold/upper respiratory thing going on. Just needed to confirm it wasnt anything worse. Pre-registration made it easy, I waited 5 minutes at most. I am between primary care docs right now, this was a good option.
The staff is professional, thorough, courteous, and friendly. Genuinely concerned about helping the patient. The wait for someone who came in as a walk on without an appointment was very reasonable. I would recommend them to anyone.
Usually I wait until I’ve experienced a place a few times, before I leave a review. But I was so impressed with the overall experience here from the front desk, to the doctor, and all the other kind staff members. I loved how the doctor had high energy and was very down to earth. My almost 4 year old son walked out of his visit and said “that was the best doctor ever”. Thank you!
The staff was great the moment I walked in. The front desk took a few minutes to check all my info. It was great being to upload my license & insurance card ahead of time. In addition, to filling out all the other information. The person who did my triage was very kind & patient. The doctor did an equally great job. She was very kind & listened to my complaints. She was gentle with her assessment & gave a very logical approach. The xray was a breeze. I got wrapped up & was on my way. Thank you all for your help & kindness. I truly appreciate it. It was worth the 40 minute drive.
For the longest time I stopped seeing doctors because so many doctors have written off genuine medical issues in my past which was emotionally and financially distressing. These healthcare providers restored my faith in healthcare and gave me the medicine I needed to get me fixed up and I am so thankful. Jack was our doctor and DJ was our assistant and they were both so wonderful. Thanks to yall and well come back for any future medical concerns!
Will definitely be letting my family and friends know about how great the service was here at Midwest Express. Set up a same day appointment and was able to be seen within hours. The whole staff was welcoming and I felt very comfortable there. Not just fast but very efficient. The cost was affordable and I am very pleased I chose this clinic.
The clinic was clean and organized, and the clinicians and other staff were friendly and helpful. They had no problem answering any questions that were asked. There was a bit of a wait, but that is to be expected in an urgent care type setting. The online check-in process is convenient and easy to navigate. I would absolutely recommend if you are visiting the area or dont have a primary care physician.
The staff had great customer service coordinator was very helpful, nice and understanding. The triage nurse and the staff was great and full of empathy. My Dr. had a great personality, showed her concern and was ready with a plan. Overall a great experience. Clean office
Friendly reminder: When going to urgent care, always expect to wait, bring a book, some work or homework. The client service coordinator was helpful, nice and understanding. The triage nurse was kind, and full of empathy. My Dr. had a great personality, showed her concern and was ready with a plan. Overall a great experience.
Very attentive, thorough, and kind staff, doctors, and nurses. This is the second time I’ve visited this location, and it’s such a great resource for immediate care. Wait times can be a little lengthy so definitely reserve a spot online before arriving. There’s coffee in the waiting room!
I can’t believe I haven’t heard about this place before now, the first time I visited was because of a clogged ear and I was able to get ear irrigation the very next day very pleasant experience, this last visit I needed a prescription the very same day and was able to schedule an appointment, be seen and prescribed my medication all in one day. I love this place
Monica checked me in today, always love coming to this location. Staff is super friendly, accepting and non-judgey. 10/10 will always recommend. Also sometimes you wait a little but theyre good at communicating throughout the whole process.🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽
Never thought I’d write a positive review for an urgent care visit but I really appreciated how nice the staff and providers were when I was struggling with a severe virus. The online waitlist/registration process makes it super easy too. I had to wait about 30 minutes for my first visit because it way busy but they put me in an exam room so I was able to nap. My second visit I had almost no waiting time. Providers really listened to my concerns and were willing to talk through options to relieve my pain. I hope I don’t need to return but am happy to have this option nearby if I do!
It was so easy and also when I needed their services they were not busy. Made my appt. Online and 15 minutes later I was checking in and 15 minutes after that I was picking up my prescription! People were friendly and efficient!
I just moved to Chicago and after seeing MEC advertising on my commute to work I called their Wicker Park location to discuss refilling my prescriptions and finding a PCP. The entire staff was very welcoming, whether on the phone or when I got there in person. The office itself is beautiful, clean, spacious and in a great location right off the blue line making it a 2 min walk. The entire process moved quickly, no long waits (on Halloween night too) and they took their time answering any questions I has, especially around helping guide me through the next steps of my appt for my prescriptions I need every month. I absolutely recommend this clinic to anyone. I’m So thankful I called and will be going back as my regular clinic.
Very friendly and professional staff, especially for a place that gets randoms all day. I know I would turn into more of a jerk than I already am, but not them. I went in thinking i had strep. I didn’t, that was groovy. Also, free parking in front is a huge plus. Dr. was super cool and answered all my myriad of sickness/fever dream questions. It was a slow day, yet highly recommend using the reserve your spot in line feature on their website as the flu season rush hits.
Visiting in Chicago, I’ve experienced a nasty pain in my back and legs, I was recommended to go to Midwest Express Clinic, which I did, since it was my Friday time there, once I’ve registered, I’ve promptly got attended by a courteous doctor, who in no time found the culprit of the pain, which fortunately was muscle-related. After some directions on how to avoid more pain, the doctor prescribed me a medication and soon I was on my way back home. What I can summarize about Midwest Express Clinic, is that one can expect to receive professional and kindly services from registration to check out, I would highly recommend this clinic’s outpatient and ER services.
I am just visiting Chicago for 2 days. Came down with bronchitis. Felt awful. The clinic was incredibly efficient, kind and supportive. Got me diagnosed, prescribed meds and called in the prescriptions so they were ready when i arrived, provided directions to the pharmacy, and even charged my phone for me!
This location is very helpful and all staff are professional and kind! They really get you in and out as quick as they can while still giving you full attention and tests to make sure you leave with medicine to help you as well as identifying the cause to your illness! I travel to this location in particular because they are all so nice and helpful! Love this location
It was the first time I went to urgent care. Very pleasant staff, the wait was not long at all.Everything was explained to me and all my questions were answered. They prescribed the necessary treatment and medications.I thank you for your work!
Extremely friendly staff from the receptionist to the triage nurse to the doctor. Really listened to your concerns and answered them and they really care about there patients. Will definitely be coming back in the future if the situation should arise.
The clinic itself / staff are friendly and courteous. The billing becomes part of the scam though. I was charged twice and they use a 3rd party who didnt seem helpful in resolving the issue so will be disputing through my CC. As well and just to note but any followup care with will require another visit and another bill even if its for the same thing.
I was visiting my son’s family for a few days and my granddaughter said her throat hurt on Sunday and she went to Midwest Express Clinic to be tested and she was positive. They were great with her! Then my grandson said his throat was hurting so he went. Then the next day my daughter in law and son went and they were put on antibiotics. Since I only had a headache for 2 days and low fever but no sore throat I didn’t think I needed to be seen but my daughter in law insisted I should get tested so back to the clinic at 8pm and sure enough I had strep. I was seen by an aide and a doctor and prescribed antibiotics. Everyone at the clinic were helpful, kind and extremely pleasant!
I had a great experience here. everyone from reception to the medical providers were caring and professional. i was seen promptly and had results and consultation within 15 minutes.
Horrible service, from the front desk, the providers and the management staff. Double charges for everything and when you call to dispute the charges they give you a run around. They sent me to a different facility for an x-ray because their technician called in sick. Then they had the other location charge me as well. I’ve been told the refund would post in 7 business days and when it hasn’t, I’ve called and they say, “I’m not sure what is going on.” Then leave you on hold for 45 minutes and hang up on you. Do yourself a favor and go ANYWHERE but here!
The staff was friendly efficient and patient. The female NP or doctor ( I didn’t ask) was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable.
Waited over 2 hours to be seen for less than 5 minutes. the medical assistant was extremely awkward, after desrcibing my symptoms, she declared i was to be seen for something else, in which i corrected her that i was here for another reason. the PA was in and out in 2 minutes and didnt take the time to hear my concerns.
WARNING BEFORE FOR USING THIS PLACE: When asking their front desk in person before my appointment whether the were in network with my insurance, I was told yes. They also claim to accept a variety of insurance on their website. Turns out they arent in my insurance network and are forcing me to pay out of network for their services. Completely deceiving practices to their patients telling their customers one thing and then bill another. Dont fall into the same trap I did. Be prepared to also wait 30-60 mins before getting in to see somebody and for the appointment to be rushed when you actually see the provider.
Pleasant office staff. Professional, kind and helpful medical staff. Office is nice. We did high school sports physicals for $40. You book online and they save a place for you. We were in and out very quickly. They are an organized well oiled machine!!
I believe the nurse practitioners Alma diagnosis of my urgent medical concern was inaccurate. This is particularly concerning given that I have a formal diagnosis of migraines and provided an accurate list of my medications during the visit. After my appointment, I went to the emergency room where I received proper treatment, including 2ml of fluids for dehydration and assistance with my migraines. The ER team conducted appropriate tests immediately. The nurse practitioner at the initial visit could have provided assistance but chose not to, dismissing the symptoms I presented despite my known medical history. She used a urine analysis to check for ketones, which the ER team later informed me is not the correct method to assess dehydration. I felt my concerns were ignored, and I was made to feel marginalized and stigmatized for needing fluids. It seemed she assumed I was seeking treatment for a hangover or other non-emergency reasons, which was not the case. The nurse practitioners approach lacked empathy and displayed micro-aggressions. She stated I would have to pay out-of-pocket, claiming there was no clinical reason for the treatment I requested. Despite my visible distress, including crying, and my documented history of migraines, she did not offer any medication for my migraine and showed no sympathy.Overall, the visit was entirely ineffective. Additionally, I requested after-visit notes, which I was told would be emailed to me within an hour, but I never received them.
Every time I bring my kids here they are taken care of. We usually come here when we can’t get into our pediatrician. One of my kids is on the spectrum and always given a lot of grace and patience.
Compassionate care. Excellent transparency regarding the minimal wait times (I was a walk-in). Friendly and caring front desk staff, and PA Lauren had me feeling confident about next steps.
In all the years I never been to immediate care, as my first experience the staff and the doctors were incredible. They made me feel so comfortable, thank you!
Every time I come it’s always a great experience! From the front seat to the assistants and doctors in the back! Wouldn’t trade this for the ER! They work fast and make sure you get the correct check up you need and walk out happy!
Had a very great experience at this location. They are very attentive The facility is very clean. Staff members were amazing. The young lady at the front desk as soon as you walk in, she greeted you with a smile
I stopped here, and I was surprised they were open on Christmas Day and had such a great experience. I was in and out within 20 minutes. Very friendly and professional.
They were really nice and quick to see a provider. Would highly recommend.
My is a wonderful provider, I’ve seen her twice and each time she has been so pleasant and knowledgeable.
My son’s eyes were swollen due to a reaction. We made a same day urgent care appointment and was in and out of the location within 30 minutes. The staff was very pleasant and Dr. Victoria really helped. Thank you so much Midwest clinic for help my son.
I came here for an occupational TB Test. My Medicaid accepted a Blood TB Test draw not a skin test which I actually preferred over the skin test. I was in and out within 25 minutes. The Quest setup to see my test results was pretty quick and easy.
I received thorough and prompt help when I visited this clinic on a Saturday evening. It’s so nice to have somewhere for help on the weekend and I will definitely return if I need it again!
I could not have imagined a better experience. The lady at the front desk was so friendly. Offered a bunch of helpful tips. And we were seeing very promptly. Everyone was professional and sweet. Almost wish we could get sick to come back sooner
Quick visit, in and out within an hour (appointment and checked in prior to arriving), staff was incredibly professional even while training a new member. PA did not send over 1 of the prescriptions she said I could benefit from, but Im already starting to feel better and to me, less is best. If I truly needed it, I am sure I could just call and request the prescription so no biggie! Im overall extremely satisfied with the visit!
Every staff me ever from the receptionist, medical assistant, provider and everyone in between was super nice and had amazing patient care etiquette. Brought my son in for trauma to his foot and they helped ease his nervousness. Great place. Wait time wasn’t bad at all and they had a full wait room. Very efficient
Wonderful staff! The woman at the front desk was so sweet and made the experience seamless. Don’t second guess your decision to come in they get things done at this clinic. Wait times are low, they are very transparent with pricing, your seen almost immediately. Love the way they prioritize patients.
It was the first time going to urgent care. Midwest Express Clinic is a very nice place. Very clean. Front desk was quick to register me and very polite. I had a great experience and if I have an emergency again I will surely go there again. Thank you.
Dominique, Brittney, and Alissa were all great! The wait area was very comfortable and nicely decorated. I had anxiety going in but left feeling good (I was relieved that it wasn’t serious and I was prescribed medication). Dominique was even nice to allow me to stay because it was pouring(rain) when I asked her. Really great staff and I’m truly grateful to you all. Thanks again! LM
I went in, staff was nice and friendly! It was decorated for Halloween which was fun. Quick wait time and didn’t feel anxious.
I was able to get a quick appointment and was called back without much waiting. Everyone was friendly and I felt the nurse practitioner was thorough.
Waited for 3 hours and never was seen by a doc or NP nor updated on how long the visit would take. They took my vitals and sent me back out to the waiting room because they didnt have any rooms available. Eventually walked out.
Checked in at 4:30 it’s currently 5:55. No one on earth wants to wait this long. I have an ear infection but can hear them conversing in the hallway about a motor bike and how some parents !!!!! I’ll update if I get better service once I do get to see the doctor.
I was able to easily schedule a check in appointment and receive care after an unexpected injury. The staff were great. The NP was helpful in providing care and empathetic to my situation. I did require radiology, and unfortunately the Wicker Park facility did not have a tech. However, I was able to go to the West Loop facility and receive X-rays quickly. I highly recommend MEC for urgent care.
Well mannered respectful staff and very clean establishment and they go above and beyond to take good care of you !! Happy Holidays ladies and Thank You All 🫶🏽
Service was fast and professional. Everyone was so nice and understanding. I absolutely love this location
Friendly staff and medical professionals! Am grateful to be able to go to an urgent care near my home and that is consistently clean and reliable for last-minute medical visits.
I made an appointment in advance, arrived on time, checked in and then sat for an hour. I went up and asked “can you tell me where I am in line? Others who came in after me are being called”.“Oh. I’m sorry. I didn’t put you in the system yet”. So, I walked out and made an appointment at the place I should have gone first, Well Now in Bucktown.
I made appointment 8:25am and i checked in 8:00am but they did not call my name until 9:20 so far .my daughter had a fever missed 2days school .but we’ve been waiting for 1hours so annoying why they received appointment online ? Just accept walk-in appointment only!!! waste time
It is wonderful that clinics like this exist, especially since it’s so hard to get in with your regular doctor these days. My primary care physician is booked out 3 months and my obgyn is booked out for another month, so they told me to go to an urgent care facility. We chose this clinic and are happy we did. The space is open, bright, and clean, and parking was very easy. My nurse was caring and efficient. I really appreciated that during my rapid antigen tests, she didn’t stick the swab so deeply up my nostrils. I told her I have had painful experiences of nurses doing that to me before, and she assured me that was completely unnecessary. The clinician I saw afterwards had wonderful bedside manner and was very thorough in her examination of me, even though all of my rapid antigen tests came back negative. She determined that since I’m 5 weeks pregnant, my immunity has dropped and made me vulnerable to a bacterial respiratory infection. She prescribed me a broad-spectrum antibiotic, and since then my fever has naturally subsided. Most importantly, she told me to be calm and not to worry, pregnant women get sick sometimes and their babies are okay. My clinician told me that if I have any other problems and I can’t get in with my PCP or obgyn, to come back and see her. And I certainly will!
Johany Águila medical assistant was amazing she was so nice and professional made me feel safe and welcomed , the office is super clean and was seen in a good time , I would recommend my friends and family to come here😊😊😊🐣
Amazing! This is my first time coming into an Express clinic and I had a great first experience. Staff was very friendly and fast working. Place was also very clean. Also good music in the waiting room when you are filling out papers!
This place is awesome. A true urgent care! They are always able to help me with good attitudes and calm behavior. It makes the experience so much less stressful. I feel taken care.
My visit to Midwest Express Clinic was very good. This is my second time at the clinic and all went well. It is convenient and professional.
The service here by the nurses is great! However the receptionists are absolutely terrible at managing time and prioritizing appointments. For example, I came in with an appointment and filled out paperwork ahead of time. But they allowed someone ahead of me who did not fill out their registration and said “it’s fine” when I asked why he was allowed in the room. This is a waste of time for not only the nurses but also the patients. Wait times have gotten very long and this is definitely a cause of that.
I called to ask if they could provide me with a service. I was assured they were able. I registered, talked to the front desk, explained again, waited, met the intake nurse, she took my vitals while I went over my reason for visit again. Finally the provider comes in to tell me that they cant prescribe a controlled substance. Which is whatever, company policy. I get it. But they had THREE chances to let me know before I saw the doctor. I asked said provider to double check the policy and when she came back, she said she could write me a 1-week holdover script. I declined and as I left I was told I would be getting a refund for the office visit. Now theyre saying that the providers compromise counts as an assessment and refusing to refund me the $125.This clinic has no idea what they are doing or their own policies. If you have an issue, theyll farm it out to their corporate customer advocacy line that they dont even know the hours of operation for.
Today I was seen by the beautiful and wonderful Dominque ! Her attitude and her personality was so upbeat . She made me feel so relaxed to the point my blood pressure came back normal! Thank you so much Dominique! I hope you have a wonderful day !
Wish I could leave a negative star review. The most ridiculous place! They charged my money and provided absolutely no services for me. I had to call them again and again. After admitting that they never sent my specimen to the lab they asked me to come and leave it again. And guess what happened? The same thing happened, I never received my test results! Very incompetent, irresponsible workers who don’t know how to get their job done. Fraudulent place. They want only your money and don’t plan to provide any services for you.
Midwest express clinic was awesome to have found while being out of town. They do walk-ins and were very pleasant and professional. Dr. My Tang was so very kind to my daughter who was feeling ill. Thanks so much for the great treatment!
From the time we walked in with the receptionist to the nurse and doctor it was excellent service. Definitely our go to if we need!!
Great service every time. Natalie is a great provider.
Had a great experience, my doctor showed me imaging of my ear and was very through.
Everyone is nice and the wait was quick. My problem was diagnosed with no issues.
Jeff (PA) and Melanie (Front Desk / Coordinator) provided exceptional service. I had some issues with my prescription and Walgreens and they were both extremely persistent and helpful in helping me sort it out. Really appreciated the wonderful customer service!
The doctors here are nice and incredible sincere. They make sure I feel taken care of. They’re really busy for this reason I’m sure. Their front desk could be more organized and diligent on checking people in so that people aren’t being skipped after checking in on their tablet as they specified to. But this doesn’t deter from how great the doctors are
This place is hands down the best urgent care you will go to. They treat everyone with respect and care, and are able to accommodate a ton of folks. Dont be alarmed when you see a bunch of people in the waiting room and youre just walking in. Theyre running a smooth operation and Ive never waited longer than 20 minutes. Also, youll never be surprised by a bill. They tell you everything up front and work hard to be transparent and work with whatever insurance you may or may not have.TLDR if you are between this place and physicians immediate care down the street, DO NOT GO TO PHYSICIANS IMMEDIATE CARE. Physicians immediate care will charge you whatever they want (eg they can charge you for an ER visit despite it being an urgent care visit). Not only that, they dont treat you with any respect whatsoever.GO TO MIDWEST IF YOU WANT TO GET BETTER.
Can’t say enough good things about the staff at Midwest Express Clinic. Each technician that I came in contact with was compassionate, caring and professional. They put me at ease and explained every step of the treatment as we went along.
Everyone was very nice, especially Margarita and Dr Sahara. Will definitely be back.
I went in due to having a severe eye infection in both eyes. Overall experience was great from the receptionist, medical assistant, and the Dr. And everyone was welcoming and I felt heard. Im on day 2 on eye drops and my eyes are clearing up. Thank you 😊. Will definitely recommend ro family/friends and i will return if needed.
Place was very clean, safe, and fast to check in. Made my daughter feel special even when she was feeling sick.
My favorite urgent care in chicago. Seen for a sinus infection, I was in and out in an hour. Professional service.
Midwest Express Clinic has a wonderful staff. I had physicals for both sons at their facility. I recommend their clinic very highly.
Hi! The Doctor and her staff were very friendly helpful well mannered and on point with caring about the patients! I would recommend and encourage people to go to see you at Midwest Urgent care! Thank you all so much. They take better care of you then your own primary doctor dose!!!
My first visit to this clinic was totally awesome! This second visit to the office felt off, and it felt really rushed. My son sprained his thumb really bad. No, splint was provided or any support for his thumb to properly heal. At the time I didnt think to ask. I dont want to have to think for the doctor, they should do all they can to help patients. Do you all provide splints or cast to support sprains? Please contact me back, thank you.
Every staff member is so considerate and completely respectful of your privacy. I feel comfortable, secure, and welcomed. Nursing, tech, and physician staff all have top notch bedside manner. They should all be recognized and awarded for going above and beyond. I have worked in Healthcare for 30 years and know what good service is. This facility is a glowing example of how the standards should be set. I want to give them all a big hug!
The staff here is absolutely amazing. Starting with the super sweet the minute you walked in the office, makes me feel very comfortable. Very clean and professional, All the providers , are kind-hearted and soft spoken, very professional and super encouraging. Provides handled me with the greatest care I could ask for, on a walk in visit. I was very pleased and impressed with this establishment. I definitely recommend them for all your intermediate needs.
Been here a couple times and they have always been professional and attentive.
There was not a long wait I was seeing quickly. If one clinician had a question they called the second person in to get another opinion. They were very thorough and compassionate.
Midwest Express Clinic is great! While the wait can be long some days, they really make up for it in their kindness and care! They are prompt and speedy, but don’t rush you, and they do great follow-up as well!
If I could give zero stars I would. Don’t go here unless you want to find out two hours after your visit that your prescription was never placed and then have to proceeed to call back four times to get them to place the prescription only to be told by the rude and unhelpful receptionist that you were actually never a patient there. Once we sorted that I was indeed there earlier, it only took 2 more phone calls to get them to send a prescription to the correct Walgreens ONLY TO BE A PRESCRIPTION FOR THE WRONG MEDICINE. By this point, MEC was of course closed seeing as it was a whopping three hours past my visit. The WORST experience with an urgent care I’ve ever experienced with the most incompetent staff.
Hi! I thank you for helping my son.For that and for putting up with his crying and screaming!Thank you for taking us in very quickly and efficiently!
I was very pleasantly surprised to see that this place had great reviews, I was even more surprised when they were true. You can make an appointment online to hold a place in line, you’re still called based on when you get there. The facility was clean, there’s beverages while you wait, the staff was friendly, my nurse, Melanie, was incredibly kind and they were quick and efficient to help me identify my sickness and get me the meds I needed. I definitely recommend!
I am grateful for places like Midwest Care. I was in a lot of pain and the best my doctors could do is get me in for X-Rays five days later, and those results would take 24-48 hours! So on a Friday, I was a walk-in at Midwest Express. I got x-rays and a diagnosis in 90 minutes! It saved me six days, people. The staff was professional and now its time for me to take care of my moderate arthritis.
I registered online which I know does not give you an appointment but I was registered for 2pm. I get there at 1:45. I go to her desk I give the lady my name and she tells me to have a seat and if she needs anything from me she will call be back up to the desk. I sat there for about 45 minutes while she took other who came in and got them situated. At some point a receptionist comes and she leaves. She is now in the back with the nurses. I believe she could have been covering for the receptionist. I’m now sitting here for an hour and a half and starting to see people that came after me getting serviced. Now I’m confused I go to the desk to ask what’s going on and I’m not even in the system. This lady took my name asked nothing else of me and left. She started calling patients to come to the back looking in my face knowing I have not seen anyone yet and knowing I been there for over an hour. She says nothing or even question why I haven’t been seen. I’m writing this now from the back and it’s almost 3 hours now and I still have not seen a doctor. Poor communication and professionalism. I’m an urgent care facility I believe a patient time and experience should be respected and I did not feel that way.
Girls in front are polite. The waiting time wasnt so bad and the doctor very professional
Big shout out to the receptionist and the nurse for doing their job in an efficient way. Thats more than what I can say about the main doctor.Im day two into a fever w/ cough, stuffed nose, high temp, and the chills. She checked my lungs and said theyre good but at this point Im wheezing and sound like a 75-year-old smoker who has been smoking pall malls for the last 60 years. This so called doctor starts talking about prescribing blood pressure medication without even having a chart but was also ignoring the kind of respiratory infection I obviously have- not only did they charge me money for sitting in that sweaty office on a 70° day but they sent me home with an allergy script. This establishment has lost all credibility and has made it clear that you cannot expect any real treatment from a strip mall doctors office.
The staff were not responsive to the level of pain and mobility restrictions I presented with. I came in with a suspected fractured ankle, which was confirmed with X-ray. I was not given crutches or a wheel chair to move from room to room and was told I had to hop from one end of the clinic to the other to get the X-rays. The radiography technician was very rough with my injury and then, while I was crying, made me hop back to the exam room. The doctor was only marginally helpful in that she confirmed I needed to see a specialist. She was too scared to provide any supportive equipment, so I left the clinic with less protection than I came in with. I was given nothing for pain. I asked for copies of the X-rays and was given a CD, which could not be read at the ER I went to immediately afterward. This visit was a waste of time and money and I would not recommend Midwest Express unless you just need the most basic care, like a COVID or influenza test.
From the time I was calling different urgent cares regarding services and pricing, to when I left the urgent care after my service, the entire experience was one I would recommend. I had an urgent need that required immediate attention; I had a sizable gash on my forehead, like BIG. They were the only ones who answered in a timely manner. They were the only ones to provide me with the information I was looking for prior to services provided and the staff was more than accommodating when it came to my urgent need. If you need any type of sutures and/or stitches DO NOT be “shy” in visiting this place/location. Consummate professionals all around, and while no two visits are similar I am confident you’ll receive the same attention and care that I received.
This clinic offered a clean and welcoming environment and a kind staff who showed a great deal of empathy. I am not a local, but if I was, this would be my go-to urgent care!
Great experience. Very professional staff, well run doctors office. Registration process very smooth , wait time minimal for amount of patients there that day. Will definitely be back again if needed.
It was the first time there and I was very pleased. They were very professional and very attentive and very concerned about my situation. Good job very good job.🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩
First time patient, and the staff was fantastic and the parking lot made it very convenient.
Walked in for a sick visit this week and was seen almost immediately. Really friendly and efficient staff who take the time to understand your issues. Test results were quick. Facility was clean and the whole process was very organized. Highly recommend for urgent care needs.
Checkin was easy, didn’t wait too long, the team was efficient and the doctor was willing to be patient and listen.
If you want a disorganized and horrible healthcare clinic some to this crapshoot of a company. Between three clinics and corporate this company is absolute garbage. Do not say you accept healthcare from the VA and then say oh wait we have to make all kinds of calls for approval. YOU DO NOT ACCEPT IT THEN!!!!I do not have all day. No one does. Then the clinic at Weet Loop says we cannot find you.Between the disgusting VA Healthcare and this horrible company who employs people who go to work high at the Chicago St clinic and the disorganization of other clinics I won’t return.
I love ❤️ this clinic is fast and clean and people so adorable
Quick walk in service extremely clean waiting area free parking 🎉DrJack was great thank you all
Highly recommend if you want a quick check up without hassle. The staff were very nice and helpful! The place was clean! it was very quick didnt wait long for my results and I got medicine very fast they definitely took care of me.
I had a wonderful experience here. I went about half an hour before they closed and was called in relatively quickly. I did wait about 20 minutes when I was in the exam room, but that seems standard for any urgent care. The staff were all very nice and friendly. Dr. Maslowski was very nice, and receptive when I was detailing my neck pain. She also offered great recommendations on how to prevent the pain in the future. 10/10 would recommend
Great experience with Laura Reher, PA. Very quick visit and I got to feeling better later that night after a 2 day illness. Highly recommend this place!
Great and efficient clinic! I was In and out very quickly .. I do recommend doing your registration online so the process is faster. Very nice staff. Would recommend :)
Thank you for being there. The staff was exceptionally helpful . Very courteous as well as knowledgeable andready to answer any and all questions.
Good location! Everyone is patient and doctors take their time to explain everything.
The new phlebotomist “T T” needs to be trained better or replaced. i have been a phlebotomist for over a year now and have trained many others at my job. never, even when i was in school for phlebotomy, have i ever had someone do such a hack job at drawing my blood. i am an athletic person who was always the go-to when people needed an arm to practice on because of how good my veins are. when i went in for my blood test today, the phlebotomist put the tourniquet on as if it was just an accessory. it was not tied tightly whatsoever. i don’t like to go into blood draws and announce that i am a phlebotomist, so i decided to just trust her process. this was the wrong decision. she proceeded to insert the needle clean through my vein and when i say through i mean THROUGH as in blew the vein through the back of it. she says “oh the blood isn’t flowing” but i did not want to backseat blood draw so i just sat there and said “ow”. she pushed the needle further in before i was in enough pain to say “okay i think you blew through the back of the vein, pull back please”. when she did, the blood began to flow. afterwards she said “okay you can go”. i am shocked. i have been poked more times than i can even count and never once have i had an experience like this, even with students on their first day. not to mention the poor bedside manner. i rated it highly because usually i have such a positive experience here but it has always been with the previous phlebotomist. i recommend going elsewhere for bloodwork.
Thank you very much, you guys have the best nurses and the best doctors, and it’s very clean there everything is very neat, and they are very helpful!!
This was the worst visit of my life at MWC the nurse Ma or Mi or May is the worse she don’t listen to patients the patient know his or her body better than anyone especially if they been sick before with the same illness it was a horrible experience although Dominque and the other nurse assistants are great not to mention the high turnover it’s some great nurses there. I was forced to visit my primary doctor at northwestern & was well taken care of I’m well now feeling much better thank GOD.
NP I saw was caring and knowledgeable. I was visiting from out of town and would definitely seek care here again. There was a wait time but totally expected and didnt feel rushed once provider saw me.
Got in quickly (within one hour) and was out of the dr’s office just as fast. When you need some quick medical attention come here. I even bring my son and have experienced quick service as well.
This is Audreys dad. She was really hurting last night so it was wonderful that she was attend as quickly and compassionately as she was. Her anxiety was calmed the minute the health technician started her evaluation. The physicians manners and diagnosis further started the healing process. She so much better today. Thank you all and may God bless you all.
I went in for an x-ray, and though the x-ray tech was not there that day, they took care of me and sent me to a different location to get my x-ray. The entire staff and Dr. were extremely nice and helpful. I would definitely recommend to my family and friends.
This place has really gone downhill. Been going here for 7 years. The doctors used to be reliable and knowledgeable, I felt that my concerns were fully heard. But lately Its been like Russian roulette with the care Im given, and my last visit was an epic disaster.I came for a recurring sinus infection. I saw Dr. Sidney, who prescribed me an impromper antibiotic. When I came back because I was inevitably not feeling better, instead of immediately switching to a stronger antibiotic (which she should have) her answer was to follow up with a specialist (which I already am, and takes MONTHS) and simply listed all the over the counter drugs I already told her I was taking. When I protested her decision, she literally scolded me for begging her to give me the proper meds.Weeks later my infection greatly worsened, I went to another doctor and thankfully they gave me the exact medication I was firmly denied at Midwest Express. Now Im on an even longer course of antibiotics with a steroid pack, after being put on the WRONG medication at this location, and being denied a steroid pack when I clearly needed one (per the other, much more compassionate and knowledgeable doctor I saw.) The doctor at Midwest Ex did not know what she was talking about at all. I was treated like a problem, for getting upset that I was not being cared for properly or listened to.My last experience here worsened and prolonged my condition for almost a month now. This could have been avoided if the doctor here had giving me adequate treatment to begin with, or at least included my opinion of my own body in her decision. Go here if you feel like gambling with your health, or just need a Band-Aid I guess.
From the moment I called on the phone to inquire about an appointment until I walked out the door my experience was outstanding! The staff listened to all my health concerns, and addressed everything thoroughly. Thank you so much!!
Came in for help with a sinus infection and had the best experience. Check-in, vitals, and the appointment itself were done by really kind and professional people. Couldn’t recommend more if you’re in a tough spot and need quick care
Fast, clean, they also have coffee and water while you wait. Took my 3 month old son for a really non er related reason. We had a great experience!
I had to pay out of pocket after injuring my ankle. The staff was very friendly and overall cheerful! I even got a a sticker at the end of my visit 🔥 not saying I want to get injured more often, but when I do I know where I’m going to be taken care of 💖
Professionally, quickly, and most importantly, they treat people without knowledge of English with understanding
2nd time at Midwest Express Clinic. They are awesome! Totally recommend if you need to see a doctor and save a trip to the ERThank you doctor and staff
Extremely unfortunate experience at this clinic. Made the mistake of coming here after suspected sciatica and was in an extreme amount of pain. After waiting around for 15 minutes feeling very uncomfortable I was told that the radiologist was on break and had been on break since I’d arrived but the front desk associate neglected to check on their availability in the first place. The radiologist would also continue to be unavailable for another 30 minutes. For someone who holds the responsibility of patient care, it’s unacceptable and unethical to not have greater awareness or the forethought to even consider whether or not their requested care professional was available at all. If you want to wait around endlessly and be forgotten, I’m sure you’ll enjoy your visit.
It was my first time coming to an express clinic since I got insurance, and it’s been a while. The front desk lady was so nice and such a calm voice, helped me through the process of signing in. Also when I was seen, Dr. Jessica was the sweetest and kindest person ever. I asked her about more questions about my health and she was really understanding. I had an amazing experience here and if you’re anxious or feeling overwhelmed, this place really is the place to go to feel better overall.
One of the best urgent care clinics Ive visited. They listened to me when I brought in my sick mother-in-law and immediately sent her to the ED. They worked with me on financing. And my wife loves coming here because the clinical staff is so friendly. If only this could be our primary care physician group!
This place never fails to amaze me. Thank you for the genuine support and care!! Grateful to each and every staff member.
It was clean, super fast, and everyone was so kind!! The receptionist at the front desk was especially helpful and gracious.
The facility is quite clean, organized and friendly. Every time I’ve been here it’s hasn’t been a long ordeal. They’re pretty fast and efficient at seeing patients. Definitely recommend.
I was not feeling well recently, so I was greeted with a warm greeting (that always makes a difference). The medical staff & receptionist were very kind during my visit. I appreciate their continued efforts to keep the facility clean & sanitized. I will continue to go bank & recall their excellent care of my mom a few months ago.
Hello. i am really glad this please exists! :) i was having a really hard time and they really helped me feel better. everyone was so sweet! 10/10 recommend
Quick in and out!! And my doctors were very nice and thorough
My wife and I caught Covid while visiting our new grandson. Staff was very courteous did our testing that proofed positive and then followed quarantine instructions by the Doctor. We will come back if we need in a near future.
Was seen at MedSpring on Damen. Everyone was helpful & nice and i got the care i needed: the lady at the front desk who was cordial, the tech who took my vitals and the nurse practitioner who prescribed me medication. I use Medspring periodically and Ive always had a great experience.
I was so pleased with the professionalism and cleanliness of the Clinic! I only went for a COVID test prior to travel, but now I will be going back there for any other issue I may have... Very fast and everything was explained well throughout the process. On top of it all it was clear they were busy but all workers were super friendly, attentive and not stressed in the least. They performed as if I was the only client that were seeing that day!!
This was my first time visiting any Urgent Care. Staff was great about answering my questions. I felt confident in their care, they even took initiative and booked a follow up appointment for me to make sure everything was healing okay.
I really appreciate the kindness shown by both my nurse and my doctor. The clinicians were thorough, clear, and took the necessary steps to resolve my health issue. I am a hypochondriac who is generally weary of medical facilities, and I would highly recommend the staff at Midwest Express Clinic to anyone dealing with these same anxieties.
Edit: after filling out the form linked below, they called me, apologized, and removed the charge for the strep test I did not want to take. Im going to bump them to 3 stars since they did take the best they could to rectify after the fact.Initial review: I cant say enough how bad this place is. Its a money-grab trying to push people through as fast as possible with minimal work except pushing unnecessary tests that they can bill to insurance for. You basically cant walk into this place without getting stuck with a strep and covid test. Youll never see a Dr here, maybe a nurse at best. Go anywhere else, or even just stick with WebMD.
I love this facility, it is clean the staff is efficient and kind. They are helpful and provided many services, and they take state insurance like medicaid. There is short wait time if you need help they can give it to you. From ultrasounds to x rays this place is amazing!
I brought in a friend for medical services. The place looks dirty. No coffee cups, sugar, or cream. The refrigerator from the outside looks dirty. And the bathroom isn’t cleaned. Rug needs to be vacuumed in the lobby area. We didn’t feel safe with the environment in this condition
Yesterday was my first experience here. The staff are phenomenal! I was seen quickly, treated with compassion, and the providers who helped me explained everything so thoroughly. I left feeling supported and educated. It is hard to find this level of trauma-informed care anywhere, let alone at a walk-in clinic. I was very impressed. Thank you!
While the online appt reservation was slightly wonky, the office experience was superb. From reception to checking vitals to the doctors (plural--they got me a second opinion without my even asking) to getting my scrips called in it was all totally smooth professional and warm.
Overall the clinic is fine but they are terrible at managing appointments (i understand you dont take appointments). I had a follow-up scheduled for 10 AM and I was not able to see the doctor till 11.45 PM.I followed up with the receptionist several times but she never gave me a clear answer on how long its gonna take. Later someone told me that my name didnt show up after i checked-in (it showed that checkin was successful when I did it).I would suggest that you take this seriously as people skip work and meetings to come during their day and may have other things to do.
From the moment they took my call to the moment we were seen and then checked out, Midwest Urgent Care Clinic was AMAZING, thank you! They always welcome walk-ins and they have you pre-register online for your estimated time slot to be seen, which makes check-in quick and easy. The receptionist(I’m so bad with remembering names) in the front was super friendly, and I have to tell you that people who are struggling through something and need the kindness of the world, especially in the medical field where staff can forget to stay kind for patients, is very much needed there at that business! The doctor(once again, sorry, can’t remember her name) we saw was very comforting and she reassured us that our little human was going to be okay. The nurse was also very nice and gentle with our baby as well. Thank you again, Midwest Urgent Clinic staff for your fast and efficient help during a stressful situation. If you want to be treated and taken care of the right way, Midwest Urgent Clinic should be the top choice!
The staff here is absolutely amazing. Starting with the super sweet and efficient Margarita at the front desk(yes thats her name 😁). Ever so charming Nurse Alex was very gentle and made me feel very comfortable. Dr. Wilson, the main attraction, kind-hearted and soft spoken, very professional and super encouraging. She handled me with the greatest care I could ask for, on a walk in visit. I was very pleased and impressed with this establishment. I definitely recommend them for all your intermediate needs. Peace and Tranquility to you all.💚✌🏾✨️
Very nice & professional. Only reason I didn’t put 5 stars was because it’s an hour or more wait even with an apt. I had to wait 2 half hours before I got seen for reCovid test. But everything else is great!
Seen quickly and everyone I interacted with was very friendly!
I have several suggestions. Fix the restrooms. The machine read way too low. Hire better, more friendly, physicians or physicians assistants who dont rush you, listen to your issues and do not try to nickel and dime patients on their case. I have been to that location before and did not have these problems. Mara Weaver and the staff were extremely rude. Weaver in particular kept repeating that she did not work at that location. First she told me that my virus would take at least 4 weeks to recover from. Then she signed a doctors note that said I could return to work today with no restrictions. Ive been ill for 2 weeks. I pointed this out to her and she agreed and said that she would not give me two weeks to recover on my doctors note for my employer. I pointed out repeatedly that I came down with an illness two weeks ago, that she had said it would take around 4 weeks, and her doctors note said a return date of todays date. She continued to argue with me in the lobby even though she admitted that she said 4 weeks. She then said she couldnt give me more time on my doctors note because of CDC guidelines. I tested negative for covid at her clinic and she knew that. I pointed out that the CDC doesnt require PAs or doctors to write a doctors note a certain way or for a certain length of time. She still refused. I go to the Midwest Express Clinic rather than my own personal doctor because the clue is in the name (Express) Ive never had the staff and especially the PA be so rude and unhelpful. I will not be using this location again.
I live in the neighborhood and consider myself fortunate that Midwest Express Clinic is so close, because Ive only had positive experiences there. The staff are kind, resourceful, and present with you each time, regardless of the time of day.
I really do like coming to this clinic, especially for urgent needs. I needed to be seen soon enough and this location made my day better! Quick visit, so worth it. Keep up the great work!!
Very pleasant welcoming staff. I was visiting from out of state and had to be seen for an upper respiratory infection. Professional caring staff, effective care.
Super unprofessional! Unfriendly and the nurse that gives you an injection has her nails so long that she cannot do her job properly ! Was charged for a very bad service and even though I brought the med with me, it should be way less than what they made me pay. Ridiculous!
Staff was friendly and respectful. In and out within the hour.
Great experience! I showed up early for my reserved time slot, and spent maybe 30 seconds in the waiting room before my name was called to be seen. Alex, who took my vitals, was warm and welcoming, and instantly put me at ease. Dr. Beth saw me shortly after, and was also very warm and helpful. I was out and on my way in 15 minutes at the most. Best experience Ive ever had in an urgent care facility. Highly recommended!!!
The customer service there was great! They were so helpful on the phone. When I got there they took care of us right away. We were seen in a timely manner. The staff were welcoming and so kind to my son. I appreciated the service we received.
One of the best Urgent Care centers Ive ever went to. Friendly and helpful receptionist and roomy comfortable waiting room. Medical staff was very attentive and knowledgeable.Ive been to other clinics in the area that are not half as good for urgent care.
I had to come last minute due to work. They had me in and out 15 minutes and so kind, polite, and informative. Most doctors an urgent cares don’t truly listen to you and kind of blow you off, all the members there took time to hear my concerns and educate me further on a treatment plan.10/10
My recent visit was very easy. I was able to see a doctor in under 25 minutes, maybe less! The nurses, front desk person, and doctor were all friendly and professional. The facilities are clean and comfortable as well. This might sound strange but I noticed the lighting design is very calming and not glaring white!
I’ve had less than stellar experiences at most urgent care centers but having been here a few times in the last couple of years, I’ve had great experiences every time. The doctors are always friendly and really care about helping you.Special thank you to Kristina, FNP-C who went above and beyond to help me get the scans and help I needed on a recent visit after an accident.
My experience here is always great! Fast, courteous service. The online pre-registration can feel a bit overwhelming but it’s not mandatory. I do it because it does speed up the check in process. They are our go-to when we need a quick appt!
So glad I found this clinic because trying to wait in a hospital for 6 hours just to get seen and they see you super fast at Midwest is the place you would want to be I highly recommend this place, to anyone who needs fast medical service.
Prompt, thorough and professional service. I would highly recommend.
Fast and convenient service. My physician’s assistant Jack was extremely caring, thoughtful and communicative. He was reassuring and made me feel comfortable.
My visit to Midwest express clinic was great. Easy check in process. Short wait. And the staff was very helpful and kind. Would highly recommend.
Nice clinic, great staff! From the registration to the MA who did my intake and took vitals were all awesome! The Physician Mevlida was very thorough and friendly. I was hesitant as I normally visit Northwestern and not urgent care clinics but now I am confident I received good care after this visit and will return.
As soon as I entered the facility they attended to me immediately. The staff is very nice and kind. The doctor let me explain my condition and answered all my questions. I would visit the Midwest Express clinic again.
One of the best clinics I ever been to in a long time
I had a great experience at the Midwest Express clinic. It took a little while to get in but the exam and follow-up were incredibly thorough. I very much appreciate their diligence, especially Amy.
My experience here was wonderful the office was clean. I had no wait time. The front desk employee was very nice and efficient. My nurse was nice wasn’t very talkative but nice. My doc was amazing she was informative and kind. I would go back in a heartbeat. Thank you Midwest Express clinic.
Love that you can schedule an appt ahead of time to lessen the amount of time that you wait! I got in at 12:05 and was walking out the door by 1:30 (had to wait for test results). Will definitely come back here if the need ever arises again!
From the front desk to the special care I received this was a very pleasant experience! Thank you soooo much!
This place is amazing, I was in a lot of pain and they expedited my visit and were so nice and understanding. Called in my prescription right away. Everyone from the receptionist to the nurse and the doctor were so sweet. Will come back (hopefully not too soon though) :)
I had a fishing hook stuck in my arm, where I already had an open gash from a work incident the week prior. So I came into the clinic and was seen by Dr. Jessica Dennis. She took really good care of me. And got the hook out. It was right next to a vein but she took good caution and got it out. It was her first hook removal, but she did a great job. Thank you! Also i arrived early and was attended to very quickly. Overall great experience. MINUS THE HOOK
Editing my review due to my experience for a follow up here. Whoever is the owner here needs to clean out some staff - I went Friday 2/24 and it was great I was told to come for a follow up today 2/27 and when I asked the physician who treated me on Friday if she would be there and she said no, but assured me I’d be in good hands. 90 minutes in the waiting room later I tell the desk I need to leave my appointment was 6PM it’s now 7pm. Basically I went for nothing then when I said I cannot stay they say they are going to charge me?! For coming 15 minutes before my appointment and then leaving an hour after I was scheduled?! Really?! Then when I told the receptionist I’m leaving she asks to bill my card. Wow - I am shocked how bad this service was. I guess I got lucky before and had good staffs my last visits. Today I’d be embarrassed as a health giver or business person in general.
On August 16 2023 on broke my patella—-knee cap. Midwest Clinic took X-rays and said it was just sprained. In the next couple days I had huge swelling on my leg. I went to an orthopedic walk in clinic for x-rays. The image showing a crack running right through the knee cap. It would be impossible to miss if you examined the correct X-ray.This is my opinion of medical malpractice. I have since talked to others who have received poor quality services at Midwest. I would not recommend them if you have something more than a sore throat. My judgment is Midwest is an understaffed money mill for someone. If you have time I recommend making the extra effort to seek services at a more reputable, properly staffed walk-in clinic.
There has been nothing ‘express’ about this visit. I am going on my third hour waiting. Brought my 14 yr old for an urgent care visit to rule out a fracture. Very frustrating. I personally have never waited this long. Midwest. Pls do better.
Everyone at Midwest Express, from the receptionist to the nurses to the Dr. My, all were incredibly nice and professional. They were really busy, but that did not change their attitude.Great service, clean office, professional and friendly staff.
Clean facility. Kinda fast. Definitely hold your place online for check in - speeds the process up by 30 min but youll still end up waiting. all employees were polite and helpful.
Very pleasant experience with the team . Everyone was very kind and efficient. I love the convenience of the clinic and it’s definitely a positive atmosphere every time I go . They we’re playing one of my classic all time favorite cartoon shows on the Tv .. The Magic School Bus lol .
They were awesome. I have a three year old daughter with autism and anxiety. The doctor was very patient with her . My daughter became so comfortable and couldnt stop laughing and talking! The waiting time was very quick and the doctor was very thorough.
Made an appointment the day before which I understand isn’t an actual appointment time but the website says to pick a time to reduce waiting. Checked in around 10:50. Waited 25 minutes or so then was called in back for bp check/weight and waited in the exam room for an hour. After an 45 minutes in there I opened the door and asked if we were going to be seen by the doctor sometime. One of the nurse/helpers said yes but we’re really busy and another helper gave a rude attitude and said something about trying to get people out within an hour. Well I was there over 1.5 hours at that moment, so it’s not working. The doctor came in shortly after and he was very nice and apologized for the wait. In total we were there 2 hours. I wouldn’t recommend this place because of the wait time and the rude staff member. This was at the Willowbrook location.
Expect long wait times. It took 3 hours to call my name and finish up the appointment.
I always go here when I need day-of care. They’re really fantastic. I’ve been treated for everything from a sprained knee to the flu, and each provider I’ve seen has been so kind and knowledgeable. My primary care physician is really far away, so this is the best place for me to go! And they usually have many appointments available.
It was difficult to get in touch with office staff to handle billing details, post-appointment communication was practically non-existent, and it took them almost 2 weeks to submit the claims to my insurance company and I had to untangle some partially denied claims afterward. The doctor who treated me was nice & listened to my concerns, and made me feel at ease; however, I found the office organization to be absolutely abysmal and the source of an unnecessary amount of stress. I would recommend going somewhere else, if possible.
The assistants and the nurse practitioners are all so kind and understanding. The radiology was also very nice and accommodating to my bad knees making sure I was as comfortable as possible.
We walked in without an appointment and were seen within an hour. I think the staff was very professional and both the nurse and Doctor were thorough in examining and diagnosing my son. The facility was extremely clean and well kept and we felt comfortable, welcomed and safe. I will definitely recommend their services and we will definitely return to them when our primary physician isnt available.
I’ve visited this location a few times and it’s always a pleasant experience. It really is an express clinic because my wait time is really low and the doctors, nurses and receptionists are all very nice and understanding. When ever I can’t get in with my PCP, I come here and it’s awesome.
I reserved a spot in line on the website, and only had to wait about 10 minutes before the MA took me back. I was able to get a strep test right away and only had to wait another 10 minutes for the results and to see the doctor. I was out the door with a prescription within an hour of walking through the doors and every single person working there was so nice!
My experience with Midwest Express was a great experience the wait wasnt long, everyone made you feel comfortable and the Doctor explained everything so that you could understand. I feel like its like a hospital without going to the hospital. Everyone was very professional. I will definitely be going back. I give them 5 stars
The advance check-in was really nice! I was in and out on a Saturday in less than 30 minutes! Staff and Dr both courteous and easy to talk to. Very nice facility as well. Happy to have them in my neighborhood!
My daughter was sick, she got tested for covid, flu, and strep…all came back negative. The doc takes one look and tell me she has strep. Glad doc caught it, still annoyed with clinic, they send the prescription to Walgreens, they never received it. Doc never sent it, so I’m glad I called and asked 2 hours later, it reminded the doc there was a sick kid that needed her meds. 🥺
My daughter was seen today, and I have a few concerns or complaints... I schedule the appointment same day, and when I walked in to the reception desk, I was almost immediately told to use the check in kiosk. Even though I was telling the reception staff that I had trouble completing the registration online. I was told have a seat and well call you shortly. I checked in, and wasnt called to the desk until 45min later. Reception asked for my insurance and ID, and if I had completed registration forms. I repeated that I had issues, and couldnt fill it out online. And was then asked what pharmacy I wanted. I told the reception staff, walgreens on north and western. And was rudely asked if I had already completed the paper forms, that they had just handed me. I responded I just got the forms and will give it as soon as Im done. We were called shortly after, and the provider said she would send over the prescription, and explained that I needed to turn in the forms at the desk. I assured her I would. I left the clinic at about 10:30 am, and called the walgreens pharmacy 27 minutes later to confirm the prescription. They told me it hadnt come in yet. I waited an hour since the pharmacy was going to lunch. At 12pm I called the pharmacy again, and was told they hadnt received it. I called midwest and confirmed that the prescription was sent. And who ever answered said yes. It was sent to your pharmacy. I asked walgreens on north and western. And they responded yes! I came into the pharmacy and the pharmacy had to call midwest because there was still no order!!! My child has been progressively getting worse as time lapsed. Ultimately the walgreens came through for me. MIDWEST sent my daughters prescription to the wrong pharmacy LAPUJA.... why ask me to confirm a pharmacy if your going to assign whatever pharmacy you want???Perhaps my rating is low because I am upset!!But this is not great care!! 😕
I had a bike accident. I was treated promptly by a wonderful staff of professionals.I needed 5 stitches. This procedure went very well. I was checked thoroughly and my questions were answered. I also got a tetanus shot and an antibiotics prescription. Thank you very much Gabby, Diana, Morgan and the pleasant receptionist. I have relayed my great experience with several friends.
I was visiting my daughter and decided to have a “face to face” with the Division St sidewalk. After a couple of days, I decided to visit the Midwest Express Clinic-Wicker Park to make sure I hadn’t broken anything. I registered on-line and arrived at my designated time slot. I was greeted and checked in promptly. The waiting area, as well as the exam rooms and X-ray area, were clean and spacious. Personnel wore gloves and masks. Everyone I came in contact with-X-ray tech, nurse assistant, and LaShawna Jackson FNP, we’re friendly and thorough. I was provided with options for my injuries as well as follow up inquiry. All in all, it was a great experience for a not so great mishap.
