Grace Gynecology and Wellness Stephanie Shisler MD

I recently had my first exam here, and what a night and day difference from my prior gyno. Calling and being able to quickly and easily set up an appointment was great. The staff seems friendly and like they actually enjoy their jobs.And seeing Dr McStravick, I felt heard and we got to have actual conversations about issues. Those conversations led to treatment, which very quickly resolved some of the issues I was having.

I had an IUD inserted here about 3 years ago and it was the most traumatic experience of my life. The doctor said “if you can’t handle this you won’t ever be able to have kids” while inserting the IUD. I nearly passed out afterwards and broke out in a cold sweat to where the table was even wet. She left me alone in the room for maybe 5min and her nurse basically demanded I hurry up so the next client could have the room. I wish I would’ve done more it was dehumanizing being so exposed and spoken to in that manor. Please don’t go here if you want to be treated with any kind of respect or kindness.

Always a nice experience at Grace Gynecology. The atmosphere is friendly, the furnishings are soft and feminine, and the staff are nice as can be! Dr. Shisler is up to date on her training and research for our benefit... and you certainly cannot beat that!It has been 9 months since my first visit to Grace Gynecology and last night I was thanking God for Dr. Shisler putting me back on HRT - because now I can sleep! I went 20 yrs not being able to sleep through the night because I needed hormones. Not only that, but Im not hot all the time! If you are reading this and your doctor told you not to take HRT, please make an appt. with Dr. Shisler and get back on HRT. You will be SO GLAD YOU DID!

I called to make an appointment to confirm pregnancy and the receptionist said they dont practice obstetrics only gynecology. This seemed strange to me as I was a patient here a few years back and it was always an OB-GYN office. On the website it also says obstetrics- gynecology. Ive seen some reviews talking about the Dr and how great she was during their pregnancy. So Im not sure why I was told this and I could not make an appointment.

Very welcoming atmosphere and friendly staff. I feel well-taken care of in my needs as I am getting older. Dr. Shisler is always understanding, caring, and so knowledgeable. I am grateful for a place like Grace Gynecology and Wellness.

Love Love Love Dr. Shisler! She understands anything you are telling her about, how you feel..how you d like to feel, and she knows how to get you there. Very knowledgeable about hormones during and after menopause or hysterectomy--UNLIKE SEVERAL DR.s IN ROCKWALL who PRETEND to know and play around with dosages of things when they truly have no business doing so. Shell clean up their mess and help you feel your best! Her staff is wonderful and caring. They treat you like a person instead of like pt. number X on the list. Their office offers many cosmetic services as well, but are not pushy at all...they treat everyone as an individual and inform, but do not advise you to do one thing or another. They respect your intellect and choice making abilities! Refreshing! Overall great experience. Just wish Id found her earlier in my life! Would have been a game changer--literally! You will not be disappointed!

I love this practice. Ladawn is amazing and helped me with my gyno appt and set me up on the perfect amount of hormones for menapause symptoms. The entire front office staff was very helpful and friendly. I personally worked with Heather and Angel on setting up my appts and they gave me guidance on the best pharmacies to use for my prescriptions. They actually care and it was very obvious. Highly recommend this practice. 🩷🩷

I have been with this office for two plus years and have nothing but positive things to say. Every single lady from the front desk to Dr. Shisler treat you like family. They listen to you and you’re in control of your care. That is rare these days. I have referred every woman in my life to them including my wife, daughter, mother, cousins and best friends. They all say the same things. Routine care is top tier. More acute care i.e. extensive female issues and surgery is second to none. I’ve never felt uncomfortable or dread going because they are incredibly loving and fast. I look forward to our visits. The office is clean, professional, feminine and feels warm. 10/10 recommend!

So I had my first visit today and loved all the staff and the vibe of the office. Everyone was smiling, happy and enthusiastic towards their patients. Dr. Diana Schultz is my new favorite OBGYN, she was so helpful with my pregnancy questions and made me feel a 100% more confident about it than before I came to Grace Gynecology. Makes me feel excited for my future with her and my babies! Highly recommend Grace Gynecology!!!!!

Dr. Shisler is simply the best. Go experience it for yourself. She’s authentic, genuine and trustworthy. Loved her nurse and her staff as well. Everyone was warm, welcoming and kind. The doctor took her time in the consult. Her knowledge and competence is evident and as a patient that’s very comforting. Took her approximately 15 min to perceive and confirm what more than a handful other specialists couldn’t. You will feel heard, appreciated and significant. Your wellness is definitely her priority.

The staff is professional and friendly as they get us through the entire appointment. The front office staff puts you at ease with their smiles and welcoming small talk. The medical staff is knowledgeable, answer questions honestly and genuinely try to get to know their patients personally in order to assess a good balance of family, friends and work. So glad I was referred to them by my physician and when asked, I refer them to my friends.

The staff here are all wonderful, but Stephanie Shisler needs to be avoided. She has set up a snake oil practice that is more about her making money than it is about women’s wellness. And if you have any side effects to the medicine that she puts you on, she will try and gaslight you into thinking the side effects weren’t caused by what she prescribed.

I like everything about this doctor’s office! Dr. Stephanie Shisler a wonderful doctor! She takes her time during appointments and is very knowledgeable. Her office staff is very sweet and helpful. Highly recommend.

I had a car emergency in route to my appointment. I was actually 5 minutes away. I called the office and the staff was very patient and very understanding. They waited for me. Dr Shisler is amazing! She took extra time to listen & understand any questions I had regarding my health, and provided information and suggestions for all of my treatment options. She’s very thorough and proactive with my health and she goes above & beyond to make sure I’m comfortable in every aspect. She’s excellent about making herself available for patients to reach her, and she makes every effort to follow up with me. She’s been my doctor for 8 years and she delivered both of my babies. Dr. Shisler is so friendly and relatable. I felt comfortable with her on my very first visit. I feel she genuinely cares about her patients and doesnt rush through the exam and explanation/answering questions in order to get to the next patient. I dont recall a long wait to see her, but I feel if I had to wait a bit, it would be worth it to know shes taking care of patient needs. She just has a genuine and friendly personality. Love Love Love Dr Shisler and her nurse, they are amazing !!!Had hysterectomy, I ended having some complications after surgery nothing that Dr Shisler did. The way she handled everything and her concern was so heart warming. Dr Shisler could have just handed me over to the specialist, but she called and checked on me all they way to my recovery. My husband was very impressed with her care for me and attentiveness though out my recovery. She is a amazing doctor who is very personable and hears you out. I highly recommend her for all your women health needs.

She takes the time to explain procedures, the pros and cons of the procedure, and if there is another procedure that might benefit you better. If I could give a zero I would, I came in had 2 appointments to schedule my implant, last appointment they ordered it and said it would be ready no later than 2 weeks, I call after about 2 weeks and they can’t give me a definitive answer. I then call a few days later and they tell me new management took over and they they will reorder it with a rush. I tried calling a few times since and no one ever answers. It’s been several months Since I’ve seen this doctor and was supposed to have my implant done many weeks ago. At this point they’ve stolen my money and wasted my time.

I’ve been going to Dr. Shisler for several years and couldn’t be more pleased. She takes time and listens to all my concerns. I never feel rushed or like she’s trying to speed up my appointment. I appreciate her knowledge on women’s health and love that she gives me all options for treatment but also helps me decide which one is best for me.The staff is efficient and helpful, especially Lilly! I wanted to give less stars, but to be fair the practice is wonderful I just disagree with Dr. Shislers decision to no longer also obstetrics at the practice. Dr Olsen is amazing, she delivered my first baby and performed life saving surgery when I experience an ectopic. I trust her with my life, literally. When I learned that the practice would be making her leave because they no longer wanted obstetrics in the office I was extremely sad and frustrated, as I’m not 28 weeks pregnant and having to start at a new office in my 3rd trimester. They should have at least allowed her the time to finish out her current patients pregnancies. The office itself though is small and comfortable, not too much of a clinical feel which I truly enjoyable. Office staff is helpful and personable. I’m not sure if I will continue to use their office for routine gynecology care now that Dr Olsen is being made the leave, but I enjoyed my time as a patient while Dr Olsen was there.

I had my first visit with Dr. Shisler today. Due to bad accident on the freeway I was very late for my appointment. They agreed to work me in. She spent alot of time with me answering all my questions. Her staff is friendly and efficient. I was very impressed with Dr. Shisler and her entire office.

This is my second review for this place. I’ve been having issues and going to see normal pcps and they have blown me off saying I’m perfectly fine and then I come to Grace Gynecology, they actually LISTEN to me, run blood tests with what they suspect, and give me a diagnosis. I can’t recommend this place enough. It’s amazing that a gynecologist can figure me out when doctors can’t.

Came to their clinic today and the first thing Dr, Cantu said who send you here? Where do you live? Why they send you to my clinic ? Isn’t this clinic far from you ! My physician recommended this clinic to me ! I even said what I can’t come here or something ? Like does it matter I paid my clinic visit ! I felt like I was judge since I walked in the clinic ! No hi hello Nothing ! There staff are so dry and rude try to smile and talk and nope no talk no smile felt very uncomfortable! Honestly felt judge over my skin color ! Will never come back !

The best most caring gynecologist Ive ever had the privilege to have as a physician. The office staff and especially Lilly are impeccable and so personable. Dr. Shisler truly does want her patients to be happy and well and doesnt follow a check list to care for you.. they are PHENOMENAL 😍

Ive been with LaDawn Cantu since she was with Dr. Malick @ The OBGYN Place. I followed her to Grace Gynecology because of how honest and open-minded she was about gynecology and a womans needs. Whenever I had an issue, whether it was with a pregnancy or other problems, it was addressed promptly and with the utmost concern for my safety (and that of my babies). I recently just met Dr. Shisler. She is WONDERFUL. She is compassionate, knowledgeable, and so, so kind. My anxiety really came through at our meeting and she was patient and willing to accommodate my concerns. I am glad that Grace Gynecology is taking care of me!UPDATED June2021: I had a robotic-assisted laparoscopic hysterectomy due to fibroids. Again, Dr Shisler and her colleagues were just phenomenal. I was well taken care of before and after the procedure. Feeling myself again just 2 weeks after surgery. Post-op was great - Dr Shisler and the staff answered every question I asked in a clear and understanding way. Glad that I see them!

The worst thing about moving to a new state is finding new doctors. After reading about Dr. Shisler, I decided to make an appointment, and I am SO glad I did. Everyone there was knowledgeable, kind, and considerate. I feel I was given quality care, and I had a very positive experience.

I wish I could’ve came here, it looks like a really nice place and all the amazing reviews. I called a couple of times after 1:30pm and got the voicemail. The 3rd time Lilly answered the phone, but she said this office wasn’t excepting any new patients until November. Just a little bit of advice for the front office, your tone is everything when dealing with patients over the phone.

Dr. Shisler ALWAYS gives so generously of her time. She takes a personal interest in me and any problems I may be having and keeps up to date on the latest technology. That kind of personal attention makes me feel that she has a genuine interest in my well-being!

My 1st visit to this office. Took my daughter and she asked if dr shisler can be her pediatrician. Dr shisler is awesome. So very patient. Spoke in simple language my daughter could understand. Answered all her questions and also had her laughing during the visit. This, I think, is the 1st Dr visit she has felt comfortable at. My sister is a patient of hers and loves her and highly recommended her.

Had a great experience with Diana Stephens, very thorough and caring, I am also a private pay patient and didnt feel like my treatment was lesser just because I was not using insurance. (which is hard to find in this day and age unfortunately!) The office is clean and quaint, well designed, all staff is welcoming.

The only praise I have for this office is the nurses. They are super kind and helpful!!!!And they make you feel like you matter.For a while the nurses were enough to keep me coming here with my daughter for both of our gynecology needs.If you want to buy your beauty, they are plastered wall to wall (and on the television mounted on the wall) with procedural ads to fix any perceived flaws in your face or otherwise.If you have previously diagnosed issues, or you need help figuring out what’s wrong hormonally or otherwise, this place MIGHT help you.But if you want bedside manner, and to feel like MORE than a number, or if you want to feel taken seriously and truly listened to, like your dr really cares, you may want to try another place.In my experience and my daughter’s, we felt talked over by the dr we saw (we see the same doctor). When we voiced concerns for any issues, our concerns were quickly brushed away, disregarded, or excused as something else.This has happened at least 2 or 3 times with my daughter, and once for me. We continued visiting as need and only as needed, but today I finally decided enough is enough.Today is 10/12/2022, and at 3pm I was here today and as usual I was pretty much NOT greeted by the receptionist.I got a small hello, but this particular receptionist that is working every time I come in, will NOT look up at me. Ever. She has never looked up and smiled at me, or even looked at me.She takes my insurance, cash, or whatever else with hardly a word, no matter how much I or my daughter smile or are friendly.After I finished my transaction today, I turned to leave and the lady behind me (NOT tattooed like me, very beautiful and prim), stepped up, at which point the receptionist immediately perked up. Looked at her, greeted her, and literally said “I AM SOOOOO sorry you had to wait so long!!” As though my 5 minute exchange of currency and information with the receptionist was too much.That was the final straw.I felt judged. I felt like a number. I felt like I didn’t matter because I’m a tattooed woman as opposed to upper crust.All on top of feeling like my doctor doesn’t listen, was enough.As I left, I decided that I’m going to be seeing a different gyno office.My daughter had been pushing for that for a year and I’m finally convinced.I’m just sorry it took so long for me to search for a new gyno, one that listens, has friendly office staff, and can help upper crust, as well as average everyday ladies, and even more alternative ladies.We are all ladies and we all deserve to feel like such, regardless of how we look or dress.I expected more from a female oriented office.Look elsewhere, ladies.(Gave an extra star for the nurses ALONE)EDIT: While the nurses are wonderful, and I would have possibly remained a patient due to these wonderful nurses, I want to make it clear to this office that the main reason I decided to leave today as a patient, take my daughter with me, etc, is because of the receptionist. NOBODY deserves to feel the way I was made to feel by this staff member. And this is her JOB? I don’t think so…

It was my first time with Dr. Shisler went in to get my yearly. She was very personable. She made me feel really comfortable. I will definitely recommend her and will be returning to her.

NP Diana Schultz is SO GOOD! I came to Grace Gynecology for an issue and she really listened to me and talked with me in detail. I felt very comfortable with her. I have learned my hormones are off and and she came up with a treatment plan for me. I am so very happy and will continue to go to Grace Gynecology!

I saw Diana Schultz WHNP for my GYN visit and she showed concern about my chronic right side pelvic pain post hysterectomy. She did my pelvic exam gently but thoroughly, and was able to order a TVUS for me. I was able to get it done same day at Hunt Regional imaging, and get results right away from her office as well as the new patient portal.As an FNP seeing another specialty NP, I was very pleased with the compassionate care I received! I love having Dr. Shisler as my provider! I have a history of vulvodynia (nerve pain) and my pap smear was a breeze thanks to her skilled speculum insertion. I have also had a cervical biopsy performed by her in the past and it was less painful than my biopsy with another provider. If I ever move to somewhere else in North/East Texas, I dont see myself switching providers--I will probably make the trek to Rockwall just for her!

Im so happy I found this place! Everyone was so incredibly nice, the self pay cost was very affordable, and the attention to detail (silk robes to change into) was comforting. I would absolutely recommend NP Diana and the rest of the staff to anyone, they make a sometimes uncomfortable experience painless and stress free!

I called and left a message that I would like to set an appointment as a new patient. No one ever called me back. So, I called on my lunch hour and stayed on hold for the longest time ...only to have her to return and hang up. By then, my lunch was over. Maybe its a sign that this Doctor is not for me. I will move on to someone else. I do customer service for the healthcare industry as well, you have to stay focused and make a good impression and follow up on your claims to callback, otherwise you will go under.

I waited 6 months for Dr. Shisler’s office to get a contract with my insurance company after she moved to her new location. I tried going somewhere else in the mean time, but no one is Dr Shisler. I’m so thankful to be back with her and her office.

I truly believe that Dr. Shisler saved my life. Any time I had a concern, her and the office got back to me promptly. Including nights and weekends. I had a crazy difficult pregnancy and I am grateful that Dr. Shisler was there for me throughout it.

This is of NO reflection of the doctor. The staff, less than five minutes ago, was VERY RUDE. For privacy reasons I wont go I to detail, except I was spoken down to and belittled by a staff member. When I asked her name, she knew she had done wrong. She refused to give it to me. When you are wanting to pay for services and receive this treatment it makes me feel like my business is not wanted. I wanted an opportunity to see this doctor specifically. I guess I never will.

I had two complicated pregnancies and Dr. Shisler was always caring and available for my every need. She even called me in the middle of the night on a Saturday to give me important test results showing I had a kidney infection and got me into the hospital for treatment fast.

I loved her! She was easy to talk to and listened to what I had to say. She went over all of my options in detail and answered my questions. I felt comfortable with her and her advice. I felt like she cared and she wasn’t just rushing through my appointment. I couldn’t be happier.

Met the doctor in an Emergency situation at Rockwall Presby. She was kind and very informative and I trusted her right away. I was in a lot of pain and was dealing with a rare case. Surgery went great and I am switching to her office permanently!

When I originally came to visit I was impressed only by their online system. It went down hill from there. They required payment up front which was not needed as it was a preventative care visit and my insurance would cover at 100%. They would not visit with me until I paid. Once I paid, they came back about 15 minutes later saying they actually charged my card to another account and that would be refunded but they needed me to pay again. Luckily I had the money in my account. Six months later I was trying to win an appeal with my insurance company to get a pill covered. When I went to pick up my prescription, Grace Gynecology changed it without informing me and I had to take a pill I had no idea what it was. The pharmacy did not even give me an informational guide. I called and of course they were closed for the next 3 days. When I called to ask what happened they told me I called and asked for the change. When they went back and read their notes it said a name that was not me but my insurance. When I asked for some clarification and if I could switch back I was told sweetie this is apart of growing up get used to it. Fast forward a few months later when I am having complications from the pill and cannot get a person to answer questions. I enjoyed the staff but the organization is lacking.*update*They terminated my rights as a patient the month that my birth control pill prescription ended and I have a week and a half to find a new doctor or I’ll be out of pills. Seems like retaliation. Save yourself the heartache and go to someone who is actually millennial friendly.

Literally impossible to get them to answer the phone. Also they give no warnings or heads up that a prescription is not going to be filled until you go to the pharmacy and they send a request and say they denied the request. For what reason? Can’t figure it out because they will not answer their phones.

Scheduled an appointment over a week ago. Drove across town to my appointment for them to ask me to leave my toddler in the waiting room by himself. Which is absolutely insane! They easily could have advised me prior to my appointment that they are only allowing one person in the room as I could have planned ahead of time rather than taking off from work, driving across town to end up cancelling an appointment I had been anticipating for over a week. One star for wasting my time, being absolutely ridiculous by asking me to leave my toddler unattended and being unprofessional.

Dr Shisler, is everything you could ask for in a doctor!!! She is kind, she listens, she helps problem solve... I have never met a more dedicated doctor in my 36 years of living!!! This is going to be my doctor until I live too far to get to the office!!!

During business hours, follow prompts for new patients...no answer. Not a good way to start. Onward I go with my search for a doctor who has time. If the phones cant be answered, I imagine my time waiting in the office, waiting room and trying to get questions answered will be just as waisted and fruitless as well. Thats a shame.
