Healthcare Express Urgent Care - Midwest City, OK

I was a walk in, did not make an appointment… so apparently being a walk in is not the way to go anymore. When I arrived I was told I would have to wait an hour. I agreed to wait the hour. I ended up waiting 2.5 hours to be seen and then waited another 1/2 hour for my 10 minute test results. I used to use Healthcare Express a lot and have always felt good about the level of care I’ve received there, but I remembered why I stopped going there… it takes forever. I’m sure it costs more to staff more than one provider at a time, but it may cost even more to lose patients to your wait times.. not sure. Might be worth some analysis. Everyone was super nice to me though. If you improve the wait times, I’d love to use you guys as my go-to.

They were quick getting me in and seen but I was the only one in the lobby at the time. The doc was good, thorough, listened well and professional. Id say the only down side was he didnt give me much direct feedback. But I got what I felt I needed and it was a pleasant experience.

As a new patient I was seen quickly. The provider listened to my concerns and provided answers. The nursing staff was efficient and kind. Ive had a great experience here compared to the other urgent cares in the area.

It was so easy to make an appointment and to check in. The receptionist was very efficient, and the nurse was so sweet! You could tell that she truly cared about you and why you were there. The doctor was caring and thorough also. I will definitely refer this place to my friends and colleagues!

Update 10/2/24-Have had to come here a few times in the last few months. Have never had to wait for more than a few minutes, love all of the staff, and the results are always quick. About as painless as going to urgent care can be.

This place is like a safe haven for a weary person to visit for fast service, and a no wait while you’re already feeling horribly sick! I’ve gone to E.R. Hospitals feeling so ill! I’ve had to wait so long I thought I was either on the brink of death, or recovering by waiting for a few hours! I’m thankful for Healthcare exspres. They get u in and out in no time at all! Their kindness makes you feel better! I love them when I know I need medical attention! They’re the best!

Needed syeroid shot and got it wait time 2 hours could be better. Be sure to watch your phone for text check in surveys. That are in addition to window check in..pay co-pay up front..it Will speed things up and expedite your exit.

Accepts TRICARE. Did a late evening walk-in during the week and it wasn’t too busy so the wait wasn’t bad. Filled out first time patient paperwork on my phone and still got in and out within less than an hour. Convenient location next to base

Staff was great but didn’t really get checked out for the main issue I came in with despite relaying problem to nurse, PA, and on the form. Super quick but not all that helpful. Employees are awesome though.

Everyone was very kind and caring especially the Dr. And I was in and out of there very quickly. Diagnosed with Shingles and prescribed medication and that was it. I felt relieved to know what was causing my pain. I would definitely visit Health Care Express again.

I recently visited the Urgent Care facility in Midwest City. I have used Urgent Care facilities in the past and this was by far the best experience at any that I have used. From the Receptionist to the Nursing and the PA they across the board were pleasant thorough and great to deal with even though it was late in the day and I was the last patient to leave the facility. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

First time I went, I waited a while, but everyone was nice. For some reason I got 2 bills in the mail though. One for lab tests, which is probably for my covid test, but the other was for an x-ray that they never gave me and I never needed. I paid it, because I dont want to be in bad standing with them, but my insurance shouldve covered it regardless. 2nd time I was called back within 5 minutes of waiting. It was a different nurse/Dr this time; a man, who seems pretty to the point, but still seems to care. Ladies at the front have always been nice and welcoming. This is my go to place when Im not feeling too well.

My experience was not good. Ill just make note of 1 issue vs the whole visit - I had 2:25 app and didnt leave till 5p. The Dr. was clearly on lunch during my visit definitely not professional in my eyes and he didnt want to make eye contact. oh well recommended and will not return 😞

The nurse and front desk ladies were so sweet. The doctor on the other hand could not keep his eyes open and was not listening to a thing I told him. I have a sprained thumb and he gave me two days for it to heal…. Not my best experience by any means.

Made an appointment for noon because I work afternoons and wanted to make sure if I didn’t test positive for anything I could make it to work in time only to have to go up to the desk in the waiting room at 1243 and ask why I haven’t been called back yet. Horrible on being timely at all. Fiancé went to same one earlier in the day only to sit in a room for over an hour waiting for test results that they said would only take 15 minutes just for him to look out the door and see the staff just sitting around on their phones when he asked how much longer it was going to take because he felt like crap they finally got off their ass and did their job. Really getting tired of businesses thinking they can screw peoples time up but hey we can’t charge them like they can us right. Bet if we started charging companies a late fee like they do us they would learn how to be on time really quick. I would use a different urgent care if you have to.

Made online appointment. Got in before appointment time . Had infected burn, put me on antibiotics and I had to get a tetanus shot…every 5 years now. In and out in less than 20 minutes..

This is our first medical visit since we got here in Oklahoma moving from out of state, I absolutely love this urgent care clinic, their service is fast, reliable, and quick. The front desk receptionist was friendly and knowledgeable, the doctor Julie and her assistant are professional at what they’re doing, they examined and knew exactly what needs to be done and provided the fix right away with my son’s medical issue in the office following up with prescriptions provided. The entire staff was extremely friendly and very knowledgeable. They took extra care and went above and beyond to make sure my daughter was taken care of. The doctor was genuinely concerned and decided to take an extra precaution and did another test which proved to be extremely helpful in the exact diagnosis of what was going on. Words cant describe how grateful we are.

I had an appointment. They took me to a room in a reasonable amount of time. Tested for Covid and flu. Nobody told me I would be waiting an hour for test results. It felt like they forgot I was there. Both tests came back negative so the NP had no idea and started talking about drugs she could prescribe and OTC drugs I could try. At one point she asked if I thought I needed a chest x-ray. I lost all confidence in this person and was just confused. I felt like I wasted $50 because it seemed like she was guessing. I’ve been here before and have had much better service but I won’t be back.

I came in at 8am and was taken care of immediately with care and grace! Efficient and friendly! I found my new clinic.

I have been to this urgent care several times. All of the PAs are kind and efficient. Pro tip make an appointment to get seen quicker. They do accept walk ins but you’ll have to wait a while.

The PA thar was there on July 5th was Great. Very kind he also saved me a lot of money buy not sending me to the Emergency Room for that CT scan. So thanks a lot. Sorry I cant say more but I was in a lot of pain. I do wish the hours of operation was earlier than 9am. But other than that all I can say is I Thank you 😊

Never had a bad experience here. They’re always pretty quick and the nurses are always nice. Receptionist is always friendly as well. If your torn between coming here or the Access Medical on SE 15th, choose this place. The other place stays open later on the weekend but it’s just not worth it.

Took my child here to get some tests run, was told it’d be about 30min to get results and doctor would be in to speak with us. However, a hour and a half later I had to poke my head out the door to get an answer as to how much longer it would be. In which case the nurse was surprised we were still there and the doctor had forgotten about us. So what should have been a 30ish min visit turned into 2hours. Just not very “Express” to be an “Express Care” we will not be coming back to this location.

They are always wonderful! I often cant get in to see my NP or Dr quickly enough but I can go here and get assistance, labs and results on the same day! They always answer my questions and help me to take better care of my health.

I would highly recommend Health Care Express to others. Receptionist was welcoming and pleasant. The NP was very thorough and knowledgeable, explained to me and allowed me to ask questions. Discussed with me fully treatment plan, test results etc. The Medical Assistant was exceptional! She wassweet, caring, very professional. She seemed very knowledgeable and skilled, great personality as well.

I have been going to this urgent care for almost 4 years with never any wait time past 30 to 45 mins. I brought my son for an ear ache and just needed them to evaluate his ear and give antibiotics. The receptionist and nurse were very friendly and professional, but the nurse practitioner on site this day was very slow. There was only 1 person in front of me in the waiting room. We got back and I heard nothing in the hallways, no doors opening and closing, no discussions with the doctor and patients. After an hour and 20 min wait in the room I finally walked out and said we are leaving due to my 8 year old was ready to go. The nurse then got the NP (Heather) she came in finally and was very rude saying she was very busy and good luck getting any appt with your primary care doctor right now. Her evaluation took all of 5 mins. Every doctors I have ever seen there are always prompt and professional. I will make sure and call next time to see what Doctor is working that day.

Very friendly staff from the front desk to the wonderful nurses to the Drs. Hope I dont have to go back but if find myself in situation where I have to will be my first choice.

They got me back to be seen quickly, listened intently, tested appropriately, and treated for my condition. 10/10. Been coming here for years and will continue to seek urgent care here.

Im very picky I left with no paperwork with what was going on. I feel as though anywhere I go Im not getting any help. So whats the point of going to the doctors. I should just go somewhere in dig a hole in climb in it. God gave the blessing to the wrong people. But I can said the K did more me then the others did when I came in.

Professional but not cold and distant, which can easily happen when you’re seeing a bunch of patients all day long.I recommend definitely, best of the ones in the area. Speedy and friendly.I felt like they didn’t just go through the motions but actually put some thought into verifying my diagnosis. Urgent care tends to miss things because they go to the most common diagnosis for the symptoms, the doctor and nurse looked a little deeper. To be fair urgent care is is at up for that, and if problems persist you’re supposed to see your pcp. But I’m sure we’ve all had those doctors and even nurses sometimes, that don’t really listen. Or take time to ask some follow up questions. They weren’t like that. I would give 5 but there’s a place in Tulsa I would go to that was consistently amazing, from every aspect. This place was very close though and again I recommend. Don’t go to that other one, it’s nearby but don’t remember name

Nurse very friendly & helpful. NP not so much. Did not read the chart beforehand, prescription not medical standard according to both Medline (2024 articles) & Mayo clinic. Will not return.

10/10!! The receptionist was very friendly and helpful. I was seen by NP Leslie and she was amazing!! She listened to everything I said and got just what I needed. Also it was a bonus that I was checked in and out within an hour.

Making an appointment online was very helpful. The staff was amazing and polite. I always have a great experience when I need to come here for myself or my children.

Dr Diomande was very knowledgeable and had a wonderful bedside manner. He took time and was thorough. I wish he was my primary care physician.

Walked in earlier today April 9 and wasnt greeted or acknowledged. Waited in line with two people in front of me. When I was up next, employee didnt ask me for my information, check me in etc. I felt silly just standing there in front of wndow while being ignored plus im there because i dont feel well and needed help. I just walked out and will never be back. Ive always had good service here but they didnt want to help me today.

Needed a test for new job. Called to see if my info was still on file. Very nice staff. Booked online appt. Seen on time. Easy checkout.

They take good care of you right then and there I have not had a problem at all going here they go over and beyond. Love the staff as they are happy and intergalactic people.

I have always had a good experience with the friendly, speedy, and professional care I’ve received at Healthcare Express in Midwest City. Recently, I stopped in to get treated for a sinus infection. Sometimes its just easier to go in there as a walk-in patient than to try scheduling an appointment with my primary care physician. One thing I really appreciate is the easy check-in. As a repeat customer, the receptionist does not bog you down by having you fill out all your paperwork and health history every stinking time! They just ask if anything has changed from the last time you’ve been there, which is enough. Thank you, Healthcare Express!

Get you in quick, providers are always caring and seem very knowledgeable! And they are right around the corner from me, so they are easy to get to.

Going to urgent care isn’t fun, but it certainly is a better experience when the young lady at the check-in desk is such a nice person. She was cheerful, not distracted by other things going on, answered my questions thoroughly, and helped me with an issue. Your front office help can make or break your business…she made it. The young lady that took me to the room was very nice as well, and the doctor I saw was pleasant, quick to diagnose, discuss medication, and get me on my way.

A very friendly and warm environment and I received quick service and they were very patient with my playful kids.

Had to wait three hours, before visit ended, couldnt really tell me what exactly I was sick with, and I had a huge cost at the end 270 dollars, and would of appreciated them telling me it would be that much up front. So extremely unhappy, I also had to pick up antibiotics the next day.

I have never had to wait very long to be seen. Dr and nurse are very attentive and take the time to listen.

I got there right at 8AM. I was having an asthma attack and on the verge of passing out. I could barely form a sentence as the receptionist asked if I made an appointment. No I didnt make an appointment, Ive been trying to breathe.Once I get in a room, 2 hours later, the nurse was AMAZING as well as the doctor!! Very thorough!! I appreciate their quickness, getting me a breathing treatment, a chest x-ray, and my medications. Thank you doctor and nurse!! (I wish I remembered their names). I truly appreciate your compassion and urgency of my situation!

I always appreciate how quick and helpful they are here. It’s rare to find an urgent care that can get you in quickly. But these folks rock.

This visit was the worst visit ive had. The older blonde woman who ive never seen before was very rude. She didn’t introduce herself. She didnt look at the reason I was being seen she stood at the door the entire visit while I sat on the bed. The only thing she was concerned about was telling me i was wrong, whenever she did allow me to speak. I had to pay for that. I want a refund! Any other time i have been here was a great experience.

People were nice. Only complaint I have is that it took 38minutes for results of my test and then another 30min for someone to come tell me my results were negative.

Healthcare Express is very thorough and efficient. The clinic is always clean and everyone is nice and caring. The only thing I would recommend is putting in a clinic in Luther or Wellston because we have nothing in the area.

The check in took way too long. I stood up there for 15 minutes behind someone waiting for them to finish paperwork. The check in girl was the nicest one out of everyone there. The MA was ok. Not very empathetic or all that great in all honesty. The NP or PA, whatever he is was more worried about flirting it up with his coworkers than he was getting in to the rooms. Also, no empathy whatsoever. He Didn’t even really look at me or where I was hurting and just rushed me out of there and acted annoyed when I asked questions. I feel like I paid $35 for nothing because now I’m in more pain than I was when I went there and feel like they missed something. I am going to an actual doctor (my PCP) next week to get a second opinion because she thinks they missed something as well because something just isn’t right. I should’ve just waited to see my actual doctor to save $35 which I would love back btw because of how awful the service was.

It was clean, I got in quickly, everyone was real friendly, and I got my medical needs taken care of.

Been coming here since they opened. They Have steadily taken the Express out of Healthcare Express. And they dont care. Try somewhere else. I urge you to try somewhere else

Nurse and Doctors are great. Very little wait time, very professional. Only complaint is front office was trained to charge all military $50 copay even when I showed only troops who entered service after 2018 group B should have to pay that much.

I went to Healthcare Express. The staff were so caring. I didn’t have a long wait to be pulled back into a room. The nurse was very caring and sympathetic. Then the provider came in and quickly took care of me. She was very knowledgeable and skilled. I was very impressed!!! Well done!!!

They are very efficient and they took an X-Ray and came back and told me that I had fractured my finger closest to my little pinky on my right hand. They put a small cast on it. But, I have found out something during a snow ⛄️ storm, you don’t want to have a broken finger, the cold weather made my finger hurt 😢 more. I was told in 4 to 8 weeks my broken finger will be healed and stop hurting. Thank God. And don’t leave plastic containers that you can trip over near your front door.

I waited for nearly TWO HOURS after my appointment time to be seen. Im pregnant and was pretty sure I had strep throat, so I couldnt just leave, since its potentially harmful to the baby. Both health care and express clearly mean something different to this clinic than the Choctaw location. When I finally saw the provider, he spoke to me for literally less than two minutes and told me he was pretty sure I had strep. He didnt even look at the test that was taken when they put me in the room. I was only even able to leave when I broke down in the lobby because I was so miserable and one of the nurses took pity on me. HE was actually great and Im sorry he works with such a tool. By that time, my pharmacy was closed and I had to use a different one, so I couldnt just go since they would have to change it. I have three under three at home and needed the prescription immediately so they wouldnt get sick.This was a miserable experience and I will never go back. I wouldnt recommend any sick person come here unless they think a figurative kick in the teeth with their blanket prescription of amoxycillin and tylenol would help.

Your appointment system stinks. My wife returned to urgent care because her visit last week with for an ear infection has not improved. Upon arrival we were told they have no more walk in appointments for two and a half hours. They could not make an appointment for her to be seen unless we went on-line to make an appointment. I did and she could be seen in one half hour. This is rude to the patient. My complaint is that they could have made that appointment at the front desk, but would not. I had to go sit in the lobby and make an appointment on line. Where is the patient curtesy in that.

I do not have a very long wait when I come to the clinic. They are super nice and very helpful.

My son made an online appointment and it stated arrive 10 to 15 minutes before the appointment, which he did. He sat in the waiting room for 45 min after the appointment (no one else was in the lobby ) ,when called back he then set in the room for 1 hour before I arrived. I inquired about the wait time and I was told no one knows how long it will be. The provider ( Robert Young PA-C) walks in about 15 min later and literally spent 3 min in the room and had his fire arm tucked in his pants and shirt up so it was visible. Then was told my son has bronchitis and scripts would be printed because all pharmacies were closed because it was the day after thanksgiving so take scripts tomorrow to get filled. The MA. brought the scripts in and said computers were down. Extremely unprofessional. We will not be returning!

I rushed my youngest daughter to healthcare express. And I could never explain how truly grateful I am that I made this decision. The nurses, doctor, and front desk were all fantastic with my daughter, and with me. A frantic mom who’s gone 11 years without an emergency like this, I am so thankful for the way they handled themselves and what needed to be done to help my daughter! After they took care of her, I received a call from the doctor, just checking in on her! How incredible! The level of care and compassion shown is rare!

I scheduled my appointment online. I did have to wait a little while to be called back, but thats expected. The staff was friendly and caring. I was slightly concerned when the assistant didnt seem familiar or able to pronounce a fairly common medical term Hashimoto and appeared to be using an instruction guide when taking radiographs of my ankle.

I came in to get diagnosed due to coughing, body aches, sore throat. They swabbed my nose and tested me for Covid. Just as I suspected, negative. Then told me I probably either had the flu or virus. I wasn’t tested for anything except Covid. What’s that about? What a waste of time and money. I could have diagnosed myself with “whatever” .

Thank you for the outstanding service!! In quickly. Diagnosed fairly quickly (lab tests take time) and out the door. Follow up call from the doctor a couple hours later.

HCE went above and beyond to help resolve a pharmacy snafu that wasnt their fault at all. Due to their efforts all was fixed and kiddo got their meds! Great staff all around!

I have visited them several times with acute asthma and they always effectively take care of my issue. Their staff and providers are some of the best in my opinion.

Wouldn’t go here if I were dying. Takes 2 hours to run a Covid and strep test. Unbelievable.

These people are not only really nice but also very patient with their customers and their service is great. The place it’s self feels really calm and smooth. I wasn’t excepting health care clinic to be like this. Generally I get uncomfortable with these kind of places, but not this one. Would highly recommend and I will go back in the future. Our nurse was fabulous, the wait wasn’t too long past the appointment time, and we were out fairly quickly after seeing the doctor.

Very clean waiting room and restrooms. Staff was very pleasant and got me into an exam room quickly. Very clean exam rooms. Nurse practitioner was very knowledgeable and got to the point and had answers to my issues. Open late hours very convenient. I plan on coming back again if I ever need to.

Wait was a little long but my care was quick and simple

My daughter was scheduled here and they called and told me very unprofessionally that they would not be seeing her because they were full. You shouldn’t allow people to schedule appointments if their appointments won’t be honored. There should be so many slots for walk-ins built AROUND the appointments. I’ll add AGAIN that the lady who called was rude and unprofessional.

Very clean place and very friendly staff. This place feel homey to me every time I am there, very updated place and you never have to wait long to be seen, the care about your health and why your there. Great drs and just a loving caring place to be seen

The Check-in Staff was polite & efficient, my nurse was quiet spoken but explained every step (tests, jabs, etc) and answered all questions nicely; my provider doctor was very kind while askg questions to help treat me. Overall extremely impressed with my care & appreciate the online check-in and efficient time from check-in to checking out. Def recommended for any age group. Oh, place was steadily busy but not overwhelmingly crowded.

The staff was nice, I went early in the day So not a long wait time...But They like to charge as a specialist vs office visit though! Sooooo even if you have a $25 Co-pay, they will charge you before you leave like 80 something dollars or up depending on what they did! I have gone to other urgent care places.They charged me for the office visit pay and billed my insurance as requested! That is $25 dollars only! Also they literally didnt have masks at the front desk! Granted I know covid isnt as bad but its still going around. Just seemed unprofessional to me.

I am very upset at how long I have waited. Once I arrived I was notified I’d have a hour to hour and a half wait.. which was fine. I have since been here over two hours, while 4 people who came after me have already been called back. I asked it was because the doctor was “behind”. That does not explain why those ppl came before me, when it’s first come first serve without an appointment. Highly irritated with this place. Very unprofessional thus is the third time I been here and each time was my last choice I wouldn’t recommend them to anybody them my daughter name was spelled wrong and they wanted me to come back to get it fixed but k definitely don’t have time I’m off to work but it should have been don’t right the first time and the doctor definitely didn’t know what he was doing I will never return after this issue I’m very disappointed with how the company is ran they do not care about your health or wellbeing i daughter has been her before but they don’t have any record of it both times she was here yea I’m definitely done

Was able to get in and out quickly and they got me taken care of. I also liked the ability to choose an appointment time ahead of time.

Avoid, there are too many other options to deal with this. Billing office will not file your insurance, theyll just charge you.Awhile ago I went in and the staff took care of what I needed. I went through the front desk, my info and insurance were put in, I payed my copay, and went on my way.Later I received an automated message saying I owed money. I went over waited in line showed my info and insurance and was told my account owed nothing. This happened for several months with me even leaving work early to go sort out whatever may have been wrong. After every assurance my info was in the system, my insurance was correct and in the system, and I was under the impression everything was correct.I thought it was resolved.A year later I received a bill for a couple hundred dollars. I called the billing number on the letter to see what happened. I no longer had that insurance. So I spent A Week of my time calling various offices and secretaries, tracking down which company, department, office and old account number. They didnt even file with the correct insurance. I called Healthcare Express billing back and provided them with the information. I thought this was resolved.The billing office did not resolve this. They simply sent me another letter demanding money and threatening me with collections.Avoid, the billing department wont file properly. Theyll just bill you and threaten with collections.

Always an excellent experience! My little girl was pretty sick today, Paige was so kind and helped make sure I had everything completed on solv to help save time checking in. Micki and the nurses took excellent care of my little girl. Micki took time to explain her test results and her plan to help get my little girl back on track. I always trust the providers here with my daughter. They actually care.

Friendly & professioal. Were able to do test & X-rays on site and only 30 min for results. Prescriptions were already req & ready upon pharmacy arrival.

Absolutely Terrible Do Not Go There!! I showed up at 9:45 with one person in the waiting area and left at 12:00 because I hadnt been seen yet, only thing they seemed to be worried about was my co pay that was the first thing she asked me if I had before I filled out any paperwork and then tried to use it as a bargaining tool as I was leaving telling me it would probably be better if I just stayed because it was going to be at least 2 days before she could put it back on my card ✌✌✌ I dont care if its two months yall aint getting my money smh I repeat do not go!!

They denied me to be seen because they were not taking any walk-ins at this time this was about 10:45 the young lady told me that they will be accepting walk-in at 11:45 so I said okay I will be back I just sat in the parking lot waited till 11:45 went back in and another lady told me that theyre not seeing any Walk-ins but yet the door says walk-in welvomed and as online aswell I really need to be seen today so I can find out what I have so I can get back to work

--UPDATE--Staff and provider are still friendly, but everything else a nightmare.Walk-ins no longer are quick or exist, and now take 2+hours. So when they started taking appointments, I was like okay no longer an urgent care but whatever. Made an appointment we waited over an hour after the appointment. This is a management problem. This location clearly does not have the people and rooms to serve the community! Do better corporate!------------The staff are very friendly, and I was quick to to see the doctor.

I made an appointment the night before and filled out all my paperwork in advance. I got there 15 min early but was now checked in till 20 min AFTER I arrived. I waited in the waiting room for 1 1/2 without being told prior that there would that kind of wait. Every time I asked how long it would be I was told I was next or that they were cleaning the room. 15 min after I was “next” and another patient going in front of me I left. The staff should be more communicative of wait time and honest about where someone is in line.

I absolutely love these guys. They are so professional and nurturing. Every single time I have a concern about my children Ill call first and explain the situation, and they always give helpful tips. Also letting me know if its serious or not. Never pressured me to give my children shots, when I explained Im holistic he RESPECTED the fact..... &Oh M G Ive gotten so beat down by doctors when I mention that. So overall its always a good experience.

OH. MY. GOSH.This is going to be long so I hope you read your reviews. I came in with my nephew colt around noon. Well, with him and his mom. Paige the receptionist explained EVERYTHING, even explained his insurance plan to his mom without even being asked because we were confused. The nurse Yerleen? Was amazing and so was the provider. I know how tiring it can be to work in the medical field so I am SO thankful for the amount of compassion health care express has especially when I’ve been to SO many horrid urgent cares. My sister in law was so apprehensive bringing my nephew in, and our fears were put to rest. The staff today is worth 100 stars! I will always call ahead to make sure Paige is working, as well as the provider in the back! Thank you!!

I was the first person here this morning and I was sent for a DOT drug screen. Not only is the wait time long, but the black lady at the front is very rude and slow. Im actually writing this review while still sitting here. You can hear 3 employees in the back talking and laughing and not bringing anyone back. It’s hard enough to wait, but it’s even harder when you have to wait for them when you have to use the bathroom. The owner of this place apparently doesn’t care.

Great experience! My daughter needed stitches last night right at closing time. They were incredibly nice and helpful. The receptionist was very sweet and explained the billing and answered all my questions. The staff and the PA did an amazing job with my 3 yr old in making her feel comfortable and got her taken care of right away. I will definitely recomend this place to others and come here again.

0/10 doc literally LOOKED at me and said I had the flu. No real test were done they just took my money and when I needed additional help I was denied.

My daughter had an earache over the weekend so I made her an appointment online for Sunday. We were seen quickly and out the door in under 45 minutes. I always recommend this place to my family and friends.

I will most definitely recommend this place to family and friends. The receptionist, nurse and doctor were very nice and helpful. The lobby is modern and very clean. No germs here!!! I’m in love with the decor. The Route 66 sign in particular. The Midwest City clinic is very conveniently locationed. They do X-rays and labs in the clinic. Since we were self-pay, I didn’t feel the cost was bad. Less than I’ve spent in the past. They have the option of just dropping in and waiting to see the doctor. Or setting up an appointment online. Which is so very convenient. No wait time at all. Fill out all the paperwork and take pics of ids and insurance cards so your all set to see doctor.

Fast, courteous service. I definitely recommend if you cant get in to your PCP. Its best if you make an appointment online, otherwise you might be waiting for several hours.

Went in for lab work and the physician told me to expect a call on Tuesday. Called them Tuesday since I hadn’t heard from them and the office staff said to expect a call Thursday then hung up on me.Got an antibiotic shot at the initial appointment and the nurse who gave the shot discarded the used alcohol swap and left it on the floor of the room. I also never saw anyone wash their hands. I am stunned by the unprofessionalism

Dr Mickie was very nice and explained that I had bronchitis. She listened to what I had to say and we decided on the best treatment for me. The staff was really helpfully too! They are super people! Thank you for your service!!

Used to be great in every aspect. Made you feel as though your time and health were valued. I quit going for a couple years after poor service and seeing a different person every visit. Tried again today and as Im filling out paperwork I hear a lady ask how much longer as she has been waiting over an hour. The clerk didnt investigate just gave her a generic answer of how it shouldnt be but another 5-10 minutes. I left and went 5 miles down the road and was taken back in less than 5 minutes with great customer service at that.

I scheduled a appointment the lady that does the insurance said oh it’s giving me a hard time verifying my insurance I gave her my husband information and she already had my information. And she still couldn’t verify it. The she was like o I will just figure it out like that Is your JOB! Even if you have to pick up the phone to verify it! Instead of trying to use the computer!I do this everyday for a living as well!

I absolutely adore the receptionist Paige (I believe her name was.) waitingroom was FULL of people and she literally was so calm and collected even when a patient yelled IN HER FACE about a co-pay. Never seen front desk have such professionalism. I brought my son in for a cut on his hand and was SO pleased. Will BE coming back time and time again. Seriously. Give this girl a raise or recognition. She is amazing!!

Ive come here many times and Im usually pretty in and out since I book online, but this time I was there for 2.5 hours. Once I got back there, the care I received was great, but I had to wait so long.

Very long wait time. Every time I have been here it has been a long wait time and not a lot of people in the lobby. Make sure to make an appointment because they take all appointments before walk ins. They don’t work in the walk ins between appointments. “Urgent care”.

Only reason I gave a star is because the front desk lady, Ashley was such an amazing help! Secondly, the nurse I had today was so rude and judge-mental about why I wasn’t on birth control. I asked for labs to be done as requested by my obgyn and only given a urine test. From there I waited 40 minutes just for a 5-10 minute test. When the doctor came in, it was like he was rushing me out only handing me the paper and then walking out without answering any of my questions. I am highly disappointed with my visit and will no longer be going to healthcare express.

People who work there are efficient and professional. I only marked down because of two things: one, when I make an appointment online expect to be seen at that time, not wait 15 minutes. I could walk in and wait. Two, I know it’s not their fault but if “masks are required”, why can’t it be enforced? Offer masks or ask them to leave! Thanks.

I went in last Friday evening for a sore throat. Its been a long, long, long time since Ive had a great, stress-free experience at ANY medical facility. The facility is new, but you can tell its well maintained and CLEAN!!! Theres a comfortable waiting area with complimentary coffee and drinks/snacks for purchase. Dont bother getting either...you wont have time to consume them because the wait isnt that long! The only thing about the waiting area is the televisions, there way too high up and hard on the neck to watch unless youre sitting along the far wall. Not a big deal though, I dont go to the doctors office to watch television so this is just an observation.I would like to comment on how courteous & incredibly PATIENT the receptionist is. There was an older gentleman in front of me that had a difficult & sensitive situation. The young lady at the front was so kind & patient with the man and went well above & beyond to help the man. He was frustrated (not at them) and said he was just going to leave several times...but the girls kept working with him & ultimately satisfied his concerns and got him checked in. Most places Ive been wouldnt have gone to the lengths they did to help this man. I could tell they cared about this mans health issue and it wasnt just about making a buck off him.The nurse & doctor both were very professional, not stuffy & stern. I enjoyed being listened to and not being talked down to by doctors/nurses...both did a great job! I had a relatively simple issue, but it felt as they were concerned and focused on helping me feel better.I was so impressed with their service that I had no hesitation in taking my wife there the next day for her health issue. We were one of the last people on Saturday afternoon. At no time did we feel rushed/pushed to get out of there. The doctor & nurse took their time to interview & examine her and discussed various treatment options with us. The doctor even ordered up a compounded prescription for her to help give her relief while she waits for the test results from the cultures to come back. None of the GP doctors Ive seen lately would go to the length these folks do to help their patients.They will be our go to place whenever we cant get in to see our Family Doc in a timely manner. Highly recommend these folks if youre in need of medical treatment in Midwest City. Thanks!!!

Terrible. Super rude to my wife. She had to wait in the waiting 40 minutes after the time she set her appointment. (She got there 10 minutes early) Shoved a covid test way too far up her nose. (We’ve taken the test before and were positive so we know it went way beyond what’s necessary) Then the nurse was really rude when she expressed her discomfort. From the time she walked in til the time she left she spent a little over an 1.5 hours there. Go anywhere else, especially if you’re worried you have Covid. They may test you for it regardless so I would recommend going elsewhere period.There are a couple other urgent cares fairly close so I would look at those first. And then if those are too busy or closed I would say find one out of town or just live with whatever you’ve got going on.HealthDONTCARE

Dr. And nursing staff are excellent. Very professional and concerned. Puts real care in what they do. I would differently go back.The only draw back is the receptionist.This young lady taking your information at the front desk is rude and very unprofessional. She really puts a bruise on this facility.

Wonderful place! Went in on a Friday morning and had the best experience. The service was quick and the provider Candance was Excellent! She was very caring and did a great job getting me on the right medications to help with my issues! I cannot say enough about how pleasant It was to be treated by such a wonderful provider in a extremely nice facility! Thanks for helping me feel better!

I was able to get in with a timely appointment as I had jammed my forefinger recently and I was able to get a x-ray to ascertain that it wasnt broken.

They need to get people who actually care about their job. Called today to schedule a test and was told in a rude, bothered tone. “ no, they are walk in and it takes 4 hours. Like the recording says!” Someone people don’t take the time to listen to your recordings and would rather have human to human interaction. However, after this experience and treatment. Robots and a different urgent care are on the horizon. There is another that treats patients with care and compassion. Just go find it. But don’t go here.

I’m sure everyone as well as myself has been experiencing long wait times. I was unable to go back to work until I had a test and documentation. They were not doing walkins but were able to set me up with an appointment. My wait was not very long, everyone was so helpful and kind. This has continued to be my first option when it comes to healthcare. I would recommend this location to any family member or friend.

I wasn’t feeling well could not get an appointment at my primary Doctor for a couple days so decided to give HealthCare Express and was really impressed by the professionalism of all of the staff. They were friendly and felt genuine in my care! I will definitely go back and tell all my friends!

Definitely would recommend this place to anyone needing urgent care and cannot see their PCP and dont want to go to the hospital for a expensive visit. I made an appointment with them and checked in 15 min as was advised since I was a new patient. Within maybe 10 min of me checking in I was called for my appointment to see the on call PCP at that location to let them know my individual situation. Staff was friendly and place was clean 👌 will definitely go back if services are ever needed again!!!

Absolutely will not return to this clinic. Nobody in the building and Im still waiting over an hour. The front desk didnt even bother acknowledging us and she took over an hour just to input my info.

Words cannot describe how thankful I am for Healthcare Express. After all of their care in prior years and today, I can confidently say that they are AMAZING. I had to get my toe nail removed due to an infection and they treated me so well throughout the entire procedure. They got me water, made sure I was comfortable and truly cared for me, not only as a client, but as a real person. Best of all, the doctors and nurses really know what they’re doing and are very smart. Again, very thankful for all they’ve done to help me.

This place is an absolute joke. Took my boyfriend in to figure out if he had Covid or the flu. He informed them he didnt have insurance and the lady behind at the counter was very rude stating You do know your gunna have to pay $150 cash. After waiting 30 minutes his name was called and he went back. After being put in a room the doctor walked in and asked What can I do for you today? My boyfriend informed the doctor of all the symptoms he had already told the nurse. The doctor then listens to his breathing, heart, and looks in his ears. Well I dont know if its covid or something else going around. Im going to give you some antibiotics.What I dont understand is why he wasnt tested for the flu or Covid when he was showing symptoms for both. This place is a joke. Will not be returning even. Wouldnt recommend anyone without insurance go to them. They dont care about you.

I was in there last week with my heart rate climbing up into the 220s! I was terrified and trying to stay as calm as possible! With the amazing medical staff and God given Doctor who was there guiding me in what I needed to do and have full confidence. I highly suggest this place! Thank you Doc for that push and hold procedure LOL!! Im glad it worked with me or else things would have turned out a lot worse for me!

WOW! Everyone on the staff was wonderful! I felt like they went above and beyond for my son! I will come back here any time I need to see a Dr. and have any issues with my PCP! Their facilities were very clean on top of them being nice! I feel like they hit top marks on every scale I could put them on. They even got my son a blanket because his fever was making him so cold!

I like this urgent care. The staff was friendly and worked well with my 3 year old. They didnt keep us waiting long and were able to accurately diagnose his flu. Their waiting room is clean and nicely decorated. They have a nice area for kids.

This place doesnt seem to value your time or problems. Was greeted with a question of birth date and last name of patient only. Didnt ask the reason for the visit. Took over an hour to get to a room and then didnt even look at gash on my daughters forehead. We were promised the doc would be in soon took over 40 min. That put us here for over 2 hours at this point. Would have been better off going to the ER

We were able to get my husband scheduled for the Rapid Covid test for the next day but by the time we got there I wasnt feeling well either . They were able to get me in immediately, They couldnt do the Rapid test for me. But we figured that since my husband was positive the mine would be too when we get the results in a couple of days. The staff was kind and courteous and we were in and out in no time.

My daughter and son were seen by Dr.Medina when their pediatrician couldnt do her job , let me say hes amazing! I was livid and he calmed me down plus called in the medicine they needed. The staff was so sweet and caring. Everyone has bad days , I understand the importance of treating patients kindly at a buisness but maybe sometime we should ask if THEY are okay ? When you feel someone is rude just ask if theyre okay. Yes it is a long wait here but its definitely worth it. Anyway thank you health care express! Keep up the good work .

2.5 hr wait which wasnt an issue given all the demand but I asked about how much longer it would be to be seen and they told me 1.5 hrs. I asked if I could run down the street and get something to drink and was told that Id be moved to the bottom of the line if I left the property. They told me there were nurses watching the parking lot?!? I understand moving me to the bottom of the line or cancelling me if Im not there when they call me but what would it hurt to let me leave and get a drink?!? It would be my risk that I wouldnt be there if called but it would have taken 10 mins... Its really sad because the front desk lady was so kind before but based on this experience, I wont be back.

Facility was 5+* but Corporate is rated at a 1* or less. Corporate has set up ability to make an appointment online or by phone, but does not allow facility to follow a prescribed business practice/model of appointment system. Having Made an appointment for 5:00 PM via internet app approx 2:00 PM so I do not have to publicly suffer or be potentiality exposed to other illnesses while waiting in a health care facility waiting room....The Sad Saga of Corporate Begins Below....This is what appointments are for as well as convenience scheduling of work flow of short handed facilities since America can not maintain a continuous quality work force since the Covid onslought. Whe I arrived at 4:50 PM, after filling out all paperwork in advance online to help propagate a smooth treatmet, I was told upon my arrival, it would be an hour wait due to walk-in patient having Priority Status. I asked if I checked in at that point, would I maintain position and be guaranteed direct check in if I returned in 1 Hour; I was told that walk-ins would still be priority. CORPORATE receives the greater share of pay for patient care through insurance an other payment systems, yet corporate leaves the health care worker as well as patients time compromised by this non-compliant Appointment System. There should at minimum best, be a way to honor appointment time priority and work in Walk-in patients.***At worst*** impliment a blast message system telling patients with appointments information similar to useful facts similar to [We are behind posted appt. times, when you arrive, walk-in patients will be taken ahead of your posted appointment time please be prepsred to wait an extra 30 minutes or longer to be seen by a provider.]Please make Corporate aware this is not fair: 1. To the health care provider on site that must explain to patients that they wasted their time making an appointment 2. Or paient that wasted time filling out online forms in false belief in Fairy-Tale Appointment System.You are expected to honor your payment obligations to Health Care Express organization, should you expect Health Care Express to respect your time and effort while you turn to them with that hope?Respectfully Submitted for Your Consideration,L. Bill Buffington, MD is a fabulous physician. Sadly, you will have to get past a HORRIBLE front desker- Cynthia/Angela whatever your unprofessional bad attitude name is ... Even after confirming my appointment 5X, she booked me at a time when the office was closed. Even after asking her repeatedly, to book me at a time when the provider could see me, she told me she did that, I showed up for the appointment, and the provider was so apologetic because for my procedure, they couldnt see me that day. This place has fantastic providers if you can actually get to see them. Good luck with that. As I try to call back to get a new appointment, the girl that screwed me over on this appointment is there, she just picks up the phone and hangs it up because she knows I am not at all happy with her and good God, who would be.

This place is usually really great well the back office staff but the front desk staff (must be new) greetings, organizational skills, & promptness is horrible. This is the face of the company patients see first definitely not a good look. One person can make a whole team look bad.

Do not go to this place. I had allergy testing years ago and the girl that was doing it was inexperienced. They charged me over $2000 out of pocket and told me unless I paid that in full I am not allowed back and now my daughter needs medical care and the automated message said they take walkins and appointments but when I called this morning, the receptionist that had an attitude told me they have switched to appointments only. I think she is lying about it because medical care is no good now and no one wants to work because of Covid and because so many more people are on Sooner Care and it takes months to see a doctor now.
