Planned Parenthood - Brooklyn Park Health Center

The Brooklyn Center location has zero class they truly don’t know how to talk to patients of color. I have been hung up on several times when trying to get information on past appointments they are very disrespectful short and have an attitude when speaking on the phone I highly recommend going to a different location if you were thinking about going to Planned Parenthood in a time of Need Brooklyn Center, Planned Parenthood is not a location. You should trust with your mind and body.

I will never attend this planned parenthood again. Thankfully the nurse who gave me my shot was nice and respectful but the doctor was a total piece of crap and told me to leave because she was giving me crap about a health issue I had mistaken. The wait time was 30-40 minutes and I missed two college lectures because the horrible unprofessional people who work in the building if I could I’d give them a 0 I’m sticking with Alina after this.

I had a wonderful experience at this clinic! I arrived for my appointment 15 minutes early and was greeted & helped right away. I dont have insurance, so Im always mindful (and sometimes a little nervous) about going to the doctor for help. Fortunately, the front desk receptionist told me I was eligible for support and educated me on my options! The nurse who helped me (Ran) was welcoming and friendly. And even my doctor (Megan) was polite and patient with all my questions. Clinics can sometime feel scary, or judgemental - but not here! I was helped promptly and in and out within an hour of my scheduled time! I would come back here!

Planned parenthood is a great resource and this review isnt a knock on what they do provide.the last two times i have come here to try to get my IUD replaced, they told me its fine for another year or 2. which is fine! happy i can put it off. the problem is i took work off both times to come here so why couldnt they have told me this over a phone call or email so i didnt have to leave work to sit in the lobby for 45 minutes only to be told to go home? i was beyond frustrated yesterday. they have called and talked to me twice since i scheduled the appointment. they had my charts and history. they could have told me over the phone that i dont need to replace it yet.also when i inquired about scheduling a pap and breast exam they said its recommended every 5 years now instead of every year and i had one 2 years ago. when i asked if they have issues getting insurance to cover that if its more frequent than 5 years, she said they wouldnt even move forward with the visit. literally telling me they wont do my pap or breast exam for 3 more years. idk if that is the insurance companies recommending it or the doctors but breast or cervical cancer can certainly crop up and spread in that time frame... i know people my age (29) who have died or been diagnosed of both. i have family members who have died from breast cancer. i dont want to wait that long to get checked. i dont understand why they would just refuse to do it even if insurance wouldnt pay. Im the patient, if im concerned about something, why wont you listen to me?im just not going to come here anymore. im so sick of them wasting my time.

I always wait at least an hour PAST my scheduled appointment for a simple shot that takes 15 seconds. I have waited as long as 2 hours and been given horrible customer service every time I have been there. I had a representative leave in the middle of checking me in and left me standing at the desk for 30min waiting. In the meantime like 10 other people were checked in by another respresentivie. I asked them to check me in and they said I had to wait for the person who started checking me in just to disappear. Go to ANY other location. Ive been going to PP for 8 years and never recieved as bad service as I did at Brooklyn Park. They also claim to be open till 8 but the last appointment they take is 4pm??? DO NOT BOTHER!!!

Great service and even though there’s usually a 2-4 hour stay I get in and out in 2 hours. They’re very good in detail and good about services.

I Scheduled an appointment to be seen and I let the receptionist know I was 17 weeks pregnant. She made a note and proceeded with my appointment. When I arrived I waited 20 minutes to be seen, at that time a nurse comes to get me from the waiting area brings me into the room to tell me she cant see me because Im pregnant. Im pretty sure this is something that should have been communicated before I Scheduled this appointment. Lack of communication, lack of knowledge of the procedures, and lack of empathy for thier patients.

I called to get my prescription that I needed and they told me to come at 6:30 pm and it would be ready for me, when I arrived to the site the door was look and they had closed early for the day. I did not receive a phone call or update that I was no longer able to come to the site and that it would be closed. Very unprofessional and frustrating after taking the time to drive all the way there just to have them be closed.In my other encounters with this site it is usually okay, just be prepared to wait a very long time before you are seen by someone.

Don’t waste your time here. I started HRT at planned parenthood because it was an easier/more affordable option than going through my primary care doctor. It went okay starting out, they expect you to come every 3 months for a check up and blood draw which makes sense, but it’s a huge waste of time because they can’t even draw blood, they sit and poke you over and over again until they give up and send you home, but you still have to pay… I had to stop hormones all together which is very bad for your health, to just flat out stop them! because I came in with a baby, litterally 10 months old, and they were very rude and shooed me out the door. NOWHERE does it say you can’t have a baby with you… After that, I called and told them about my experience, they said someone from this location will call me back but they never did, so i checked my patient portal account just to see that they canceled my medication anyways. They don’t actually care about you, they just want their money. Do better planned parenthood, get REAL doctors and teach your employees to be kind. Never will i come back or recommend this specific location to anyone.

Very disappointed by the service. I set my appointment online and was told when I arrived I didn’t click a confirm button twice so I never had an appointment as they were unable to fit me in even with only one other person in the waiting room. I rescheduled for a later date. 3 hours before my next appointment I was called and told the provider was unexpectedly out and would have to reschedule again. No thank you.

The wait times are always longer than a half hour! If you come for your scheduled appt, arrive way earlier. Even if you check in early, they seem to help walk ins before your scheduled appt! This clinic is insanely one of the worst i have been too.

Well my experience from this clinic is through my son, apparently, a representative from this clinic went to my sons school and persuaded a lot of students in the school to come in this clinic and have their check ups for free and maybe get some credit for their class as well. when he went there to get done his check, now he is stuck with the bill that he cannot pay for it, after the insurance paid their portion. Where if he was going his to own Dr would be at no cost at all, so I was wondering what type of a clinic would go to schools and take advantage of innocent teenagers and persuade them to come in to this clinic. if this is for the community as you claim to be, why would you do a such and i wonder why would you target the kids?fatima

Had an appointment at 12 so arrive at 11:35 went to the desk gave them my id waited an hr for them to say I wasn’t checked in and I had to wait and when a person who had a 12:15 appointment hint seen before and was a different color so I felt I was being profiled 😡😡😡

Unreliable. Scheduled an appointment 2 & half weeks out & they called me day before to cancel for “staffing issues” go somewhere else.

It was my first time here and the staff were very very friendly and welcoming. I felt nervous going in but quickly felt comfortable after speaking with the front desk employee. I would highly recommend going to this location.

Absolutely terrible. sent me mail to my house when i specifically told them never to do so. they wont stop sending me mail now. i am now getting kicked out because of this. extremely disappointed.

Im currently at planned Parenthood and Ive been waiting to see the doctor. I keep getting told that she is with a patient. Mind you the clinic was empty when I walked in with the exception of one person leaving. It has now been an hour and Im still waiting to see the doctor and being told the same line. The people here have very poor service.

Worst service that I have ever received the people there need to understand that everyone’s time is important not just there’s!

I’ve been calling for over a week now. Each time the wait is over an hour left messages still haven’t received a call back yet. DO THEY EVEN ANSWER THE PHONES HERE?

The staff are always nice and attentive. I will always support PPH for as long as I can.
