Midwest Express Clinic

I have brought my almost 9 year old here 3 times now and every experience Ive had was pleasant. Sometimes there was a bit of a wait (like when we got her back xray) but I expect that being a small location. Im just super glad they offer that service there at all as opposed to going to the ER. Weve seen 3 different doctors there and they were all women who listened when my daughter advocated for herself/I advocated/explained for her and even gave some tips on a possible underlying issue to look into with her PCP. everyone is friendly and I can tell they genuinely enjoy working there. My daughter is especially more comfortable there because they seem to have mostly (if not all) female providers. Highly recommend!

Friendly, fast, and efficient service. The doctor was knowledgeable and solved my issues right away. I will definitely not hesitate to return if needed. So much better than waiting for hours at the local ERs.

Staff was professional and polite. When they got busy, they help one another out. The wait wasnt long even when the lobby filled up fast. The gentleman at the front desk and the MA were quick and efficient with their time but still listened. Megan the nurse was great too. Great job to the staff that day!

I cannot say enough good things about this urgent care clinic! I have been here a few times and have been thoroughly impressed from the minute I walked in the door til the moment I walked out. Front desk person was so wonderful, then nurse to take blood pressure and check vitals was equally wonderful, and most importantly the doctor on staff was also wonderful! It’s a place where you can feel listened to and truly cared about. Do not hesitate to go here! No wait time either.(:

Best Urgent Care experience so far. Wait was fast. Everyone was pleasant and really listened to my concerns and did a quick test on the spot. We do have to go into another location for another test, but an appointment was scheduled and it was super easy.

I found myself at the clinic here in Michigan City to get a piece of glass out of my thumb that had been in there for quite some time. The experience was pleasant from the very beginning to the end. Check in was quick and easy they got me within minutes to get my vitals and history. I only had to wait less than 5 minutes to see one of the PAs, Megan, who took up a piece of glass and made sure that it was all out as I had made it a tough job for her because I have been trying to get it out myself over the last couple months which created a lot of swelling and car scar tissue. The experience was Top Notch from beginning to end everyone was friendly caring and compassionate and professional. They listened carefully to what you had to say so that you can be treated correctly. I would definitely go back there again before going somewhere else. They were a top notch group of people.

I waited less than ten minutes to see the doctor. The entire staff were caring, courteous and professional. The doctor, Lisa Neil, was excellent. She answered all my questions and, prescribed exactly what I needed. Anytime I need urgent care I will be going back there, and I’m grateful our community has such a professional, clean, and caring facility for urgent care.

I’ve been to the other two urgent cares in Michigan city and I have not had friendly service at all. This was by far the best experience I’ve had yet. I would definitely recommend..

I was very happy with my visit. The staff was extremely nice, caring and helpful. I saw Lisa Neil for an upper respiratory infection and she was kind, thorough and made sure I understood everything and was happy to answer any questions I had. I highly recommend her, the staff and the clinic.

We were able to schedule a same day appointment online to get my daughters school sports physical done. We were in and out in like a half hour. I was especially pleased with how much time they spent listening to her heart because I know when it comes to kids a lot of heart conditions go unnoticed until its too late.

Staff was very helpful and pleasant. Doctor did a good job handling my autistic grandson and showing understanding and compassion. Very much appreciated during an already stressful time. 🧩💙❤️💪

The entire staff here is wonderful with children! Everyone was so patient and skillful with my daughter today - an uncooperative 3 yr old patient, who preferred not to have her blood pressure taken or ears examined. Each and every time my family and I have had to visit the clinic, the staff has been outstanding! They always get us back to the exam room quickly and within minutes the Doctor is in the room! We have always felt our concerns and illnesses were taken seriously and the treatment ordered has always made us feel much better. I will never go to another urgent care! Midwest Express Clinic is the ABSOLUTE BEST!!

My husband originally went here when he had strep and needed a note for work. Shortly after I went as i had caught strep as well.To keep a long story short, while they are an urgent care facility, they do do primary care, and this is now where my husband and myself will continue to go. We never had a primary care facility we frequented for various reasons.They addressed additional issues that other doctors in the past glossed over and my husband and I are now getting the treatment we need for those issues.Everyone there is kind and compassionate and i would highly recommend this place to others. I am glad we stumbled upon this place.

When I arrived the staff member at the desk was very friendly and pleasant. She gave me the paperwork to fill out and then I was taken back a room and the practitioner came in and immediately looked and my foot and recommend I see my podiatrist. She then drained the lump and wrapped my foot. My overall experience was fantastic and I will go there again if needed. Thank you

Im only giving 2 stars due to the the friendly staff and quick service.Not sure how their training works or this company is deliberately charging twice. My insurance covered services rendered (literally a touch of the lower back given Rx and out door all due to muscle pull of lower back)Later recieve a bill claiming insurance denied services. Not true. They did not code services properly. Significant other paid bill without knowledge that it was covered (Im carrier) after speaking with billing they were to properly code and send back to my insurance so we may recieve a refund. I was told this would take 7-10 business days. After waiting nearly 3 weeks to call back, They never did it. Btw your insurance company must call them to get this information as they will just give you a run around. Now Im told to wait another 7-10 business days. I know they are counting on me giving up so they can recieve double payment. Not going to happen. Poor training of your employees and poor customer service. I did my due diligence midwest how about you do your part?So if you recieve a bill and they tell you your insurance didnt cover call your insurance check in on the coding. Dont get scammed.Think Ill go back to Franciscan quick clinic in chesterton or cvs min clinic in laporte instead of setting myself up to live on the phone for over a month. Its worth the extra driving time vs the extra prolonged headache.

Staff is terrific from the receptionist all the way thru to the doctor! Attention the whole time! Have used several times and plan on continuing as a top xhoice!

I thought I had an ear infection. I couldn’t hear anything out of my right ear for days. The nurse practitioner and medical assistant (wish I remember their names) took care of the problem. I left the clinic with hearing again! They took their time cleaning out both of my ears. I was definitely a happy patient and I recommend them!

I’ve been here twice, both times soon after they open in the morning. Don’t know what it’s like later in the day, but I’ve been in and out quickly with my minor problems. Friendly and efficient people.

The entire visit was quick - I was in and out in less than an hour, which is pretty remarkable for a bustling clinic.The staff were uniformly courteous, contributing to a pleasant experience. Theres a financial consent form to sign regarding insurance balances and automatic payment authorizations, but from my experience, its never caused any problems. You also have the option to settle your bill upfront if you prefer.The clinic is conveniently located and has accommodating hours, making it easy to visit since Ive moved to the area. Overall, Midwest Express Clinic offers reliable and efficient service, and its become my go-to for urgent healthcare needs.

Everyone that works here has great customer service. The front desk lady was so kind. Gillian who is new, was very welcoming ,compassionate, and did her job gracefully. Dr. Sharon was friendly, high spirited and very attentive to my needs. Also I wish the doors in the rooms had hooks on the back so patients can hang up their coats and purses. Nobody wants to hold their belongings or sit them in the chairs where peoples butts has been sitting on

Urgent care I normally go to was closed so we ended up at Midwest Express clinic. Everyone was nice and we were seen within minutes of arriving.

All of the staff I encountered during my visit were exceptional; everyone was so kind and helpful. Jennifer Mola was sweet, understanding, and very attentive to everything I had to say. The entire facility was very clean and well kept as well. They had me in, diagnosed, and out the door very quickly. Would definitely recommend

I looked online for an immediate care clinic. Saw the great reviews and must say, I agree! I was in and out within an hour with no appointment. The medical assistant was friendly and easy to talk to. She took my medical history and administered some tests. All went smoothly. I went to another room to wait to see the doctor. She came in explained the diagnosis from the tests that were taken. She explained my options. I was just relieved to know what was going on with me. Very professional. I think you can be confident to come here for immediate medical care.

Visiting from out of town, I only waited 15’ish minutes, Dr was very good even going the extra mile to make sure I felt well enough to “ get on a plane” in a few days! I asked to take a Covid test not knowing if I may have it, that went well and cost an extra $45.00 they also had a FLU test but I opted out of that due to no body aches. Just had my first sinus infection, I’m so glad I went to this clinic -I was on my 12th day of being sick and wanted to make sure I was not contagious to my family that I was visiting.Thank you for making it a positive experience .🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🇺🇸🇺🇸

I love this place! I brought two of my kids in at the same time and they had them in and out within 30 mins with a solid plan on how to get them healthy. One was sick and the other was having an allergic reaction. Chrissy did an amazing job. I will be back!

Quickest in and out time of any clinic Ive been too, and they take walk-ins! If theres no insurance, its self pay, but for the service provided its not a bad price considering how much youd have to pay regardless of you go. Staff is always pleasant and the range of services they provide make them an easy choice if youre looking for quick and easy appointments.

Everyone here is super pleasant and understanding. It was easy to begin the check-in process online and we were seen right away with my toddler. They immediately took tests of covid, flu, RSV and strep. We were in and out in less than 45 minutes. I would definitely consider going to this place again.

I have had two visits to Midwest Express Clinic in the past year and was very pleased with my experience each time. The check-in staff members were courteous and knowledgeable. The medical provider took the time to listen to my issues, explained what needed to be done and had the prescription sent to my pharmacy immediately. I highly recommend Midwest Express and am thankful it is located in our community.

The whole experience was definitely great. I walked in and was greated by great customer service from Lisa, she made me feel real comfortable, got me checked in right away with a smile.The next nurse LeNoira was gentle how she handled the vital portion of my visit, she was the sweetest and like Lisa made me feel extremely comfortable for a first time visit with smiles as well. The last part was my visit with the Dr. Christine was very calm, listened to me intensely (made me feel like I definitely mattered and that she was concerned and cared about my issues), she was knowledgeable, looked me in my eyes and gave me information and advice that I needed to know, but as well was easy to understand, and it all made sense. I was so pleased with my visit that if needed I definitely will return for treatment and I will tell all I know about my experience while recommending they go there if ever the need arises.

We had a phenomenal experience! Got my son back to be triaged and in a room in no time. The nurse practitioner was very thorough and professional. She booked us a follow up appointment and gave him excellent care.

I was really struggling with a cold that would not end, a sinus infection. The Dr was thorough, and listened. She gave me some great ideas and i actually started to get better that night based on her recommendations. Ill be back since i had such a good experience with her.

For being a walk in clinic I can say this place and the staff are amazing! Great place. Walked in and before I could finish the paperwork I was called in. The ladies all there were so nice. Definitely recommend and will be going back when its needed. The Dr. Was so nice and took the time to talk to me and listen to what I was saying.

They took us in right before closing and didnt make us feel rushed. Explained what was wrong and took time to explain causes and how treatment will work. Even gave my little daughter thoughtful prizes for being brave that she was excited to receive. We will be back!

We were in and out within 30 minutes. The fastest most efficient urgent care weve been to.

We were on vacation when our 16 month old son developed hives all over. We took him here and everyone was great! There were 7 people ahead of us. They kept us updated about wait times and got us back very quickly. We ended up having to go to the ER. Only complaint is they said they were going to call in a prescription for a steroid and when we went to pick it up it had not been called in. Luckily the ER doctor had given us a written prescription to take with us in case we needed it.

Every time I went in for a visit, they have always done an amazing job. They are very hardworking at what they do, and they make sure that you are certainly well taken care of, they even have you come back in for a follow up just to make sure things are getting better with your health.

Ive gone to the local facility a number of times and never had a problem. Staff is efficient and friendly. Usually you dont have to wait very long to see someone. This is the answer for the problem of not being able to get an appointment in a reasonable time with your own doctor.

Everyone at the Minute Clinic were very understanding and helped me with all my questions. So nice to have that since they deal with so many people day in and day out with sicknesses. And still have a smile and a laugh.

I’ve always had good experiences at MEC but this time the whole staff really went above and beyond. My son got sick while there and they all rushed to help clean him and I up and quickly got him a pedialyte popsicle and medicine. They were so kind and compassionate.

This place is wonderful. From my initial phone inquiry to the end of my visit every staff member was friendly, helpful and compassionate. Facility is immaculate. Was so pleased to learn as a veteran this clinic is available to me as urgent care and will definitely recommend to everyone I know.

This express clinic was great! Even though I went in 15min before closing time they were so friendly, understanding and took their time with us. They did everything they could to help our situation. Very fast and clean environment. If I ever am in need again I will not hesitate to make this my first choice to come to. Thank you!

They are amazingly helpful! Every time Ive gone in Im takin back after about 5 to 10 minutes and then the doctor comes in shortly after, in and out within 30 to 45 minutes compared waiting an hour at any other urgent care just to be seen. Wonderful staff! They are always so friendly and immediately know what they are looking at and prescribe me what medication I need in no time. 10/10!

First time at the Michigan City location and as usual, received prompt, friendly and amazing care. Brittany Cady, NP was so nice and informative regarding my sons issue and aftercare. I had to call the following day for clarification and she called me back herself instead of the MA/nurse (which you dont see often). Definitely recommend this location and all Midwest Express locations.

Impressive staff and environment! Both nurses were amazing and made me feel comfortable, safe, and in good hands. They sent me to the hospital to make sure I didn’t have appendicitis, and later that day I had my appendix removed. I’m so grateful they encouraged me to find out. Thank you so much for your help!This place was so clean and cheery, decorated so nicely. I would return if I needed anything in the future. Highly recommend.

I walked In and was the only one there. While I had called other clinics and they had hours wait. Been to other clinic several time and by far this is the very best in town. They even care enough to recheck you in a week. It may not look like it’s open from Franklin. It is open and has the best and most friendly people working there . They even have family doctors there. We’ve been looking for a family doctor that you can get into when needed! This is my new clinic!

My experience was exceptional. I was treated promptly and courteously. I was given a treatment plan and prescriptions were called into my pharmacy as I left the clinic. Everything was explained and I was told to return in five days if I was not feeling better. All my questions were answered.

The staff is all super friendly. They really care and take their time to listen to concerns. My kids love it because they got bubbles and stickers. The facility is clean too.

Great service, very clean, will definitely be going back to this place. UPDATE. After multiple trips to the hospital and my own family doctor and everyone telling me they cant find anything wrong with me I went to this clinic and they had the answer 15 minutes later by doing a gut bacteria test. This place has now become for me my go-to place for medical issues.

Check in was easy and staff was friendly. I believe Melissa was the person who signed me in and drew my blood. I occasionally pass out from vasovagal syncope, and I passed out this time, but she and the other staff were fantastic and made me feel better. I would come here again.

5 - Cat & Brittany were AMAZING. Genuinely was the BEST experience Ive ever had at any urgent care. 99% of the time - urgent cares are urgent with their care and the environments are very negative. This location was unlike any other Ive ever been to; positive, upbeat, very patient, genuinely kind, and quality care. They really made me feel special as a patient. These 2 women need some type of recognition for the work theyre doing; you never find nurses like these two. I received care like what youd see in a commercial, TV show, or movie; absolutely perfect in every way. I never want to be sick or go to the doctor, but now I know exactly where Im going the next time Im sick - and the anxiety/fear of going in to disturb the doctor (normally how I feel when I go to an urgent care) - no longer exists!!!

While on vacation, my wife and I had to bring our kids to Midwest Express. They were thoroughly attentive and gave my children warm and urgent care. They even gave them popsicles to soothe their sore throats! First class!

I was recommended by someone to take my daughter to this urgent care as she was really sick. I didn’t want to drive 40+ minutes to take her but so glad i did. Friendliest staff, they understand and listen to your concerns. They got her in right away and the doctor was very knowledgeable and caring. Put my daughter on antibiotics right away and made her an appointment 2 days in advance incase she hasn’t gotten better. They seem to care about their patients. Pretty sure I will be making the drive to this urgent care for now on when needed.

I had some symptoms that I was concerned might be covid so, I tried this urgent care place. I will be going here for now on! Turns out I had strep throat. I was in and out quickly and they were very caring and professional. Great place!!

Absolutely the best experience!! Clean facility, friendly staff, and no wait time. Had to come back the same day to ask about my prescription and the doctor came out and explained it to me. I will definitely be going back and already recommended them to several people.

I recently went to a Waterpark and, embarrassingly, got a skin infection and UTI - they tested me super fast, and sent me on my way. I went on a Monday at 7 pm. I also checked in online - they use this as a walk-in time, so just be sure you read everything carefully! It wasn’t an appointment, but it sure felt as fast as one! My entire visit? 30 minutes altogether. Thanks so much!

First time going to this location and they closed early. I had my sick 5-month-old who needed seen. The lady at the door who turned us away was polite but you can’t count on this place to be open when needed.Edited to Add: This occurred AFTER the snowstorm. It was on 12/26/22. I am also changing it to 3 stars instead of 1 because while I still stand my initial review, the employee’s politeness should be taken into consideration.

Went in for my first B12 with Lypo shotI was in and out in less then 10min! The staff was very friendly,caring and helpful with any questions I may have had, also was very clean and nice place! Thinking about making this my permeant heath care provider!Great job !

Went around 430/5pm on a Monday and no one was there!!! I was pretty sick and my daughter had an ear ache and they got us RIGHT in! That’s hard to find with an urgent care around here, my last visit to an urgent care took almost 3 hours. Staff was great and the doc clearly sent in the right meds because I’m finally feeling better after 2 visits to a different urgent care 4 weeks later. They even scheduled me a follow up visit just in case I still wasn’t feeling well.

The people at Midwest Express Clinic are very good, and polite and courtesy. I recommend people to give them a try.

My granddaughter had a great experience - the doctor was very kind, patient, and thorough. The receptionist also went out of her way to make the visit pleasant. And a goody bag to boot! Thank you - it’s nice to know you’re there if we need it.

Hit the “medical trifecta” - injured while on vacation in another state. Fantastic service and consistent with prior experiences (use Midwest Express at home). Great care, comfort and bedside manner. And they do believe in the express part, too.

Everyone had great attitudes and was very quick.

I showed up an hour early due to the time change and they still got my toddler in immediately. We were in and out with an accurate diagnosis and prescription in less than 20 mins. Thanks for saving our vacation and, more importantly, for saving my little one from a night in the hospital!

Stopped in as a walk-in for a B12 shot. Was immediately greeted by a lovely lady whom explained the shot choices, the prices, and the process. I sat down and less than 5 minutes later was called by a nurse. She administered the injection and sent me on my way. The whole process took less than fifteen minutes.

A most excellent staff who goes out of their way to be helpful in so many matters. Clean and comfortable. Staff puts you at ease and visits are almost always quick and timely.

I’ve had to come to this office 3 times in the last two weeks for what i thought was a cold that turned out to be a sinus infection and pneumonia. all of the staff was wonderful, especially the little blonde front desk lady that looks like Angela from The Office. sorry i didn’t catch her name but she is just such a sweetie.both NPs Brittany and Dragana are excellent, caring, and quick.I would recommend them to anyone. I had severe sinus congestion. The nurse practitioner spent 30 minutes with me diagnosing my condition and wrote scripts for antibiotics, steroid nose sprays and recommended sleep aids. The intake by the MA was fast and easy. Overall, OUTSTANDING CARE..A+++

Made an appointment online, checked in and was seen pretty quickly. Very sweet and friendly ladies up front. Friendly people definitely make you feel better and make you want to come back next time you need to be seen.

I lost track of time and showed up for a walk in visit literally at the last minute before close. The ladies there were courteous and professional even though they had every right to be kind of irritated by the fact that I showed up last minute. Everything went smoothly and they just seem super professional.

I went in Halloween night. I signed up online which was quick and easy and it’s makes check in go smoother. Very nice staff and there was no wait. I got in and out. I will definitely be back when I get sick again.

Went to the Midwest clinic on Sunday the 11th. What a great place it is. I was treated by NP Dragana Novina. She is OUTSTANDING. I give her an 11 out of a possible 10. And the check-in nurse was great also. I could not have asked for better treatment. I would recommend Midwest clinic in Michigan City to all my family and friends. You will not regret it.

Fast and courteous. Appointment for school physical ($30) at 10 am on Saturday, we were done and in our car by 10:20.

I went to this clinic because my allergies were so bad my face was swollen and I was quite miserable but didnt want to do the e.r. They would not see me because I was in such a rush and so miserable that I forgot my wallet at home and had no I.d. for them to be able to look me up and verify me! I was told a picture of my I.d. would suffice but my phone is out of data so I asked if there was a wifi network because my phone picked up on 1 but the receptionist rudely said no. So I left ready to just cry but my eyes were already watering so....ugh. i drove 3 blocks down the road to AN ACTUAL URGENT CARE CLINIC and was immediately registered without even asking for id and my insurance information was already on file. That other place is a joke!

We got there 25 minutes before closing and they were so great and helpful! We were in and out and the staff was personable and easy going. I will definitely go there in the future!
