Dr. Murray is an excellent gynecologist. Honestly, I wouldnt know who else to go to if it werent for him. His confidence as a doctor and his experience as a gynecologist are unmatched. What I appreciate most about this doctor is his compassion. Whenever Ive been worried about a symptom or condition, he knows how to handle everything, making me feel reassured. Overall great experience from check in to meeting with Dr Murray! He made me feel comfortable during my annual exam and provided options and alternatives to having a hysterectomy. He explained the pros and cons of surgery so that I could make an informed decision. I like that he is a minimalist and doesn’t push unnecessary surgeries! I’d highly recommend him to others.

Hes a nice person with great bedside manner and treats you like a person. Hes good at his job but what i didnt like is the fact that l felt pushed into having an lUD. I explained my history with one (had one previously after my second child) which is when i learned their just not for me. When i said i wanted to have BC that wasn’t the pill he shot everything down that wasn’t an IUD and basically told me that an IUD would be the best option. I didn’t feel heard about my past with one, instead of giving me lots of options like Depo etc he only talked about the IUDs not really talking about the other options and pretty much shrugged off my past experience with one. The IUD left scarring and the string coiled not to mention my other feminine issues with it. Ill NEVER get another IUD and i found another gynecologist. Maybe he will do a better job with you idk, but just know he pushes IUD’s like he gets paid extra for them or something.

Dr Murray was awesome. First time patient with him after having to switch drs. He listened to all of my concerns and answered all of my questions. Friendly, thorough and professional. Wish I had found him sooner.

I’m very disappointed, they don’t seem to keep my records , he never reviews with me the diagnosis of my issues , he keeps no notes of what we discussed on the prior appointment or any records of it, they set up an appointment for me for an ultrasound and then when I go they have no record of it. the nurses are very rude and impolite. The doctor seems to not care about me. They don’t have any consideration for me when he is doing his examination of me there’s no nurse present one time in the room I don’t think that’s proper. I will never go back

For the most part the staff was courteous, but in making my appointment no one advise me I would need to leave a card on file for payment which I never heard of before, luckily I had a credit card on me, because I didnt feel comfortable leaving a debit card. One of the staff member that assisted me couldve been a tad bit friendlier and communicated better to me what she needed me to do. The best part of this visit was the doctor who was super friendly and personable and tried to make me feel comfortable. He truly is one of the best gynecologist I have seen.

I have been going to Dr. Murray for about 14 years and he delivered my two children. I wanted to write a review because I just saw him yesterday for my annual appointment and was reminded how much I appreciate his professionalism and beyond caring personality. He NEVER, EVER rushes the appointment. He always sits and talks with me to make sure I am doing well physically AND emotionally. I had some anxiety when pregnant with both my boys and he always, ALWAYS put my mind at ease about the entire process. I am also reminded of my very first appointment with Dr. Murray years ago. Instead of bring me right into the exam room, we sat in his office and he got to know who I was as a person before the examination. I was not just another patient to him. He values his patients and for that I am so grateful!!! Several of my friends also see Dr. Murray as their OB/GYN and they are equally impressed. Dr. Murray has been my ob/gyn for 19 years.I could not ask for a better doctor to deliver my last two babies and performed my hysterectomy. He always washes his hands before and after your exam and knows if he needs to wear non latex gloves or not. Dr. Murray was my OB throughout my pregnancy and it was one of the best experiences Ive ever had with a physician. With it being my first pregnancy everything was new, we had a million questions and so many worries. At each and every one of our visits both him and the entire staff took their time to really listen to our concerns and answer any questions we had . He was such an amazing comfort to both my husband and I throughout the entire process. Long story short, we ended up being induced and labored for almost 24 hrs before it was time to push. He was so patient and kind and truly helped to comfort us through the entire labor and delivery.He was our hero and we can only hope to have him deliver baby #2 some day!

Dr. Murray delivered my daughter and I will forever be grateful for him calming the nerves of a first time mom throughout the pregnancy and birthing process. Dr. Murray was great. Then I received his bill. I was charged a $35.00 co-pay for speaking to him for 10 minutes at my (free) yearly wellness visit. You might ask what I spoke about... my fertility. I guess fertility is not covered in a gyno exam? Who knew? I wonder how much extra money this doctor is making off of insurance companies by padding bills. WOW what an amazing Doctor! He has such a personable and caring bedside manner. I have seen many OBGYN Drs in the past (due to infertility) and hands down he is the absolute best! He now is seeing my niece and I couldnt be happier she went with him.

Dr. Murray is kind, attentive, knowledgeable, and makes our community healthier by taking great care of women! He delivered my kids as well when he did OB and was a blessing to my family.

I was very apprehensive about seeing a male Gynecologist for a special problem I was having. He was so understanding and caring. I wish I wouldnt waited so long to get an appointment and am glad the female doctors were booked up. I will see Dr Murray for evaluation in 6 months.

Dr. Murray has been my OBGYN for years now. He saw me thru my fertility treatments and finally thru my pregnancy. My son was in the breach position so we had to do a C-section. It was GREAT!! I had surgery and it went perfect. I was up and walking in 24 hours and went home 3 days later and felt amazing. My scar is so tiny its almost hard to see. Thank you for always being an amazing doctor and caring for your patients. I always recommend Dr. Murray to anyone whom asks.

Apart from surgeries he is extremely inflated in his confidence. He seemingly knows everything you’re about to say without letting you finish speaking. While at the same time very dismissive of serious questions being asked, offering very little information or just blatantly not answering. If you don’t have a condition that you know that requires a surgery I would seriously consider looking elsewhere or choose a different doctor at that location. You should never feel belittled by your health care professionals.

Dr. Murray is a one of a kind Doctor. He cares, he understands and he knows what he is doing. He is an incredible Doctor and I will forever be thankful he made the decision to deliver my baby when he did. He is a Doctor you will never forget.

I see Misty DeSomma, ARNP, for routine visits, and she has always taken time to answer all of my questions and to offer me an understanding of my health. Recently, I required surgery, and Richard Murray, MD, PA, likewise went above and beyond to provide me with the absolute best care. I value both Dr. Murray and Misty DeSomma because they have worked with me to improve my health and my quality of life. In addition, the office staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful. This is one of my favorite doctors and one of my favorite doctors offices, and I wholeheartedly recommend this practice to other patients because these are professionals who truly care about you.

One of the best OBGYNs in Fort Myers. Hes a very caring and thoughtful doctor and he takes the time to get to know his patients. He also has a fantastic office staff and nursing staff. He helped me through two pregnancies and two c-sections. I am very glad to have him as my doctor.

I originally picked Dr. Murray because of all the reviews I found on the internet and I am really happy I did. I have pretty bad anxiety and its been getting worse as we are approaching the due date but his calm and relaxed vibe is very comforting during my appointments when Im freaking out on the inside. He patiently answers all of my questions and Im just lucky to have such an awesome OB!Also, I have to say my nurse Tina is amazing, I love her! I really wish she could be apart of the birthing experience with you because I swear I feel instantly better every time I see her. From her comforting smiles/hugs and her encouraging words, shes simply perfect. And no matter what I ask or say, she never makes me feel like I am just some overly worried/crazy soon to be first time mom. And I appreciate that so much

One of the best OB doctor you can find ever, such a caring professional you will get. He delivered our both children , any time I needed any medical help , he is always there. It’s hard to find Doctor like Dr.Murray. Thank you for your kind nature and what you do to keep us healthy.

Dr. Murray is great; however, the support staff there never seem to be working. The last three times I have interacted with that office, the only person that could do whatever I needed wasnt there that day. They seem to not understand that other people can do the jobs as well. Most of us are expected to find coverage for our jobs when were not around, let alone in the medical situation when you have to find transportation, or make other arrangements to be there. Im getting pretty fed up with this. The office is crawling with employees, but I guess nobodys working. Ive had problems with the front desk not knowing their job, having an appointment canceled because a tech was gone, and not being able to make an appointment because the only person who can do this in the entire office was gone. When you have a medical condition and you are in pain, there isnt any excuse that matters.Im giving him one more chance before I decide to find an office that has people who work there consistently.Update: a day after I posted this, my pre-op appointment got bumped. They are literally 0 for 4 in ridiculous incidents. Not one appointment has gone without a problem. I wasnt able to speak with the one nurse that can make appointments, so as it stands, I have no pre-op appointment since its the weekend.Second update: I was double charged for a co-pay, and the scheduling nurse said one thing as did the paper work, but the office that refunds the money coped out and said they dont know what is said during pre-op appointments. I am just so sick of the people in this office. I cant wait until my surgery is over and I can be done with the incompetence.

I have been going to him for 13 years. He is a wonderful, outgoing doctor who has a stellar reputation in the community. My friends who are doctors and nurses go to him. He delivered my baby. His team of nurses are amazing. Hes my favorite doctor, I end up asking him all my medical questions.

He has the best bed side manners of ANY doctor that I have ever had. He is gentle and explains everything step by step. Makes you feel at ease with any procedure . His staff is also very nice and polite every time Ive been there Ive always been treated with kindness and respect. So sad they dont deliver babies anymore. I will hate to have to see another physician when the time comes.

He is a wonderful OB if you want a C-section (everyone knows how much he loves to do C-sections). I can see that he might be the right doctor for some, but he was the wrong doctor for me. I never felt like he listened to me or respected my desires to have a natural birth. I ultimately felt blackmailed into having a c-section, which has done a lot of emotional damage. He also unsuccessfully put in an IUD and expected me to pay an outrageous amount for it to be placed properly. I am grateful to him because I have a happy and healthy daughter, but wish I could go back and change doctors because his style was not cohesive to my desired birth.

He is an amazing doctor. Has such a personable and caring bedside manner (which is not easy to find now-days). He not only helped me through the stresses of having difficulty getting pregnant but after finally getting pregnant was excellent and wonderful the entire time. I had a hard time finding an OBGYN after moving here from OH and he is the perfect fit. Not only do I go to him but my entire family does as well (mom, sister) and even my husband loves him. Cant imagine ever going to see another OBGYN.

Totally dislike this physician. He did a terrible c-section on me where I end up with lots of consequences. At the time, he had zero experience with c-sections. He was extremely rude and obnoxious at my hospital stay and after care. Im still going through a lot of stuff because of this c- section. I wouldnt recommend this dr. To anyone. He seems nice and all dandy but when comes to your health be very careful!!!
