My experience with this clinic was the absolute freaking BEST!!! I’d give them 1000 stars if I could. From the first phone conversation all the way up until my appointment they have been extremely helpful!! Couldn’t have made this process any easier I travelled from a banned state to get my procedure done and they gave me so many resources and financial assistance from paying for my flight and hotel plus food gift card and Lyft gift card also covered the entire cost of my appointment!! Which was so much of a blessing to me! I appreciate this clinic so much literally a life saver!! I’d recommend them to anyone in needing of assistance FAST they made it happen quick!

All of the nurses and the doctor were very caring and considerate, the procedure went quickly I was very happy with my experience. Woke up in no pain and felt just the same as I did before the procedure. I scheduled my appointment when they first opened and didn’t have to deal with any protesters. Highly recommend them for your needs, I traveled 4 hours to go to this clinic because the procedure is not offered in my state.

I was having lower abdominal pain and couldn’t get a Dr appt until 3 weeks out thru my regular gynecologist and signed up here and am I beyond grateful that I did! Found out life or death news and saved my life. People protesting, should be ashamed, she is a licensed gynecologist and does more than just abortions. She offers birth control to stop what you are protesting but since your are shaming people from entering the building, you are increasing the risk of abortions!

Came to get an IUD room was dirty. Had a container of blood in room as well. Apt was made a month in advance, I came and they did not have it there. I drove 1h away they called me before my appointment to make sure I was coming but didn’t mention they didn’t have my iud there for me so I drove there for nothing. Walls are so thin I could hear the doc talking with nurse asking if they should give another patients IUD to me. In which they probably gave mine to someone else. Very unprofessional take your business elsewhere!

Literally just left this place and i had to get on here and write my review because of all the negative ones I saw almost changed my mind about going here plus I had an appointment at Planned Parenthood as well but Access Health is literally 4 minutes from my house so it was convenient for me and i decided to try them and im not sure why so many negative reviews, yes the place is a little outdated but i didn’t see nasty. All the staff were welcoming and nice , they are informative and compassionate. My appointment was at 12:15 and i was done with the full process by 1:05. No complaints FYI the visit was for Pill AB.

Huge THANK YOU to Doctor Liu and her team! They were able to get me in the NEXT day. I was a patient coming from out of state...and seeking help with terminating pregnancy. Went to a clinic in Florida (twice!!!), and both times their doctor wasnt in...but this clinic was fantastic in helping me be seen in a time manner. Not to mention, they are certified by NAF (National Abortion Federation), so just know... This place is a REAL CLINIC 🙂I took the medications as directed, and had no further complications. Thank you again for helping me ❤️❤️❤️

My visit went fine, everyone was nice, everything was very in-n-out and I prefer that. The day of my procedure I felt well taken care of. I felt everyone at the clinic was easy to approach with any questions. They all explained each step that was taking place, always asked if I was comfortable, and made sure I had a ride home. I can easily recommend this place to anyone in need of their services. Afterwards if there are any questions they are only a call away or, as I went in person, the front desk was great.

Place was meh. Def not the cleanest at all but the Doctor is super sweet and makes up for the nastiest of the clinic. However be prepared for protesters they were so scary and intense I’ve never in my life experienced that and would have been helpful to know before going because I would have booked somewhere else they are insane and scream at you the whole time. One lady even pretended she worked for the clinic and was trying to get me to turn around. It was awful.

Just go downtown to a better equipped clinic. This place was filthy, the staff was fairly kind besides the doctor- she was simply awful, talking down to me,blaming me for not asking “a million questions.” They don’t do any anesthesia on Saturday, which no one told me until I was in the operating room- the procedure was traumatic, I was shaking and nauseous after. Frankly, I think they’re underfunded, I would not recommend anyone go here for anything.

If you need to go to a place like this for certain services please please please do your research before going. Look at the reviews and pictures, I didn’t and I went to Access Health. Upon entering it was very outdated I didn’t feel welcomed the black girl at the front desk wasn’t very friendly at all. I got my vitals and that went smooth. But time for the procedure it was hell, the room was VERY outdated and dirty and nasty!!! The doctor however was nice after the procedure, the doctor and nurse assured me everything was good so I was cool until I went and followed up with my OB who informed me I had some of the fetus left in me (in laymans terms) which at that point I was livid cause the procedure was expensive and I traveled over 2 hrs to the facility. All I’m gonna say is ladies please do your research please!!!!

Went here to get my iud removed. All of the staff (desk, RN, and doctor) are very nice. The dr. has a calming demeanor, made me feel very comfortable, I was nervous about it being painful. Overall great experience

Im not sure what all the bad reviews are about. I came in and immediately got greeted by the front desk receptionists. Soon after, I was brought in for a vital check. Not long after that, I was brought in for my procedure. Everyone was super nice and patient. Dr. Ventura held my hand and explained to me some things and shared a conversation with me as well. Shes a very sweet lady. I was put to sleep quickly by her medical staff. I didnt feel a thing and am very pleased by my experience. I was put in the recovery room for about 20 minutes which is all it took for me to regain my abilities. They contacted my husband to pick me up as well. I am very very pleased with my visit, considering how I afraid I was prior to it. Especially with all the bad reviews.

I was weary about coming here based on the reviews. But now I’m convinced they are not accurate. Everyone was so nice and made me feel as comfortable as possible. Zero judgment. The physician was caring and easy to talk to. I especially felt the ultrasound tech was so incredibly sweet and helpful. It takes a lot to run a clinic- so kudos to the front desk- they keep the place running and organized.

The Front desk lady was nice. Clinic out dated but okay. Protesters outside was horrible!!! They need to have them move because it was uncomfortable. Other than that they completed the visit took a while but was very busy

Untrained and unqualified, unprofessional and barely reachable front office staff, and their office looks like you teleported back to the 1980’s.They lied to me that my insurance is good. I called to make an appointment, and specifically asked the person whom I was speaking to whether my insurance will apply. I provided all of my insurance information, the receptionist said yes, I’m all good.Well, turns out, I am out of network, and I was just sent a not so small bill for something, like I said, my insurance usually completely covers.Oh, and it is impossible to reach the front office by phone. You can only leave a voicemail, which no one ever gets back to.

Horrible. The woman who booked my appointment over the phone and the clinic escorts were great. The lobby was extremely small, cramped, hot, and not what I would call dirty - but not what Id call clean either. I go back for an ultrasound and they tell me Im only 4 weeks and theres nothing they can do for me. As Im walking out with a nurse Im in shock at not only being only 4 weeks (I know I was 4.5 to 5 weeks from conception) but also not being able to have the procedure done. I ask her if we can do the pill instead, why cant they do anything, etc. She gets super frustrated with me and almost yells at me behind the desk (so everyone in the lobby can see & hear through the window) Youre barely 4 weeks! We cant do anything for you! No sympathy, education, or patience at all. They make me pay $125 despite denying me care. I ended up going to planned parenthood to pay half of what this place wouldve charged me.

Not only is the doctor over the phone but they over charge for everything. Every visit was paid for. They are now charging me $205.98 for an appointment that was already paid for back in February and because theres nothing I can do and they are claiming they never sent the bill out and Ive tried fighting it I have to pay them yet again.

The reviewer I saw saying that they are not compassionate and dont have counselors are wrong, although they reviewed 4 years ago so it may have changed but my counselor was amazing (although I didnt need her, since I was in for a miscarriage), and so was the ultrasound tech. I wont go back, but it isnt due to the facility.The people here were amazing, the only ones I had issues with, with their attitudes, were the ladies at the front desk.

Would give this zero, if possible. I didnt even make it to my appointment because the receptionist booking my appointment hung up on me when I asked her to hold on a minute while I looked for my insurance card... as this was a call back phone call... she got frustrated and asked if I wanted to just call back and I ask her to just hold on and she hung up on me.... THE DISRESPECT IS ENOUGH FOR ME TO LOOK ELSE WHERE. Absolutely disgusting behavior.. when it could have taken me no more than 2 minutes to find my card.

I said I wasn’t going to post my review but I will . I went in for my appointment maybe a week later I started bleeding and couldn’t stop I was rush to the hospital due to losing so much blood to find out it was a incomplete abortion .. so they left pieces of the fetus . I had to get a emergency surgery to have the rest of the fetus removed I had to get a blood transfusion (loss a lot of blood) Now months later I am infertile I don’t believe I can ever get pregnant again . Please be careful (UPDATE ) 1 Year Later 10/6/23 I’ve Had 3 Miscarriages I Would Say This Was The Worst Thing I Did To Myself And I Regret It .

I went there for an ultrasound, after asking for a blood test because it’s too soon for an ultra sound. They took my urine and it came back ‘negative’. (Took 3 first responses and a clear blue all positive before I came in.) They basically told me to wait 2 more weeks and I even explained I haven’t missed my period yet. All of them crowded around the counter saying ‘we have the best tests they will pick them up and we timed them’Honestly don’t waste your time, clearly understand why there are people protesting outside now.UPDATE: found out I was almost 4 weeks when I went there, but their grade A tests told me I wasn’t. The blood test I took the next day confirmed I was 🤷🏻‍♀️

I haven’t even gone in for my appointment yet but the phone operators are extremely cold and rude! Come on guys this business is one that is hard for women to attend. It is a so appalling that the first people patients have to talk to are demeaning and frigid. Give them a re-education on beside manner or something. I can’t believe this is the office I have to go to and I am very scared for the attitudes I’m going to deal with at my actual appointment! Do better....

I was a little Skeptical about coming to this place because of the all the bad reviews. When I arrived at my appointment the front desk Receptionist was nice and she did say it was going to take 5-7 hours but it actually didn’t I arrived at 9 and left at noon!the Dr was nice and the rest of the medical staff was nice too. My experience was great!

Extremely poor customer service. When you arrive you will not be acknowledged or given guidance on what line you should get in to check in for your doctors appointment. When you do finally figure out what floor and what line you should get in, the clerks will take 25mins just to call you up to the desk and check you in. You will then be forced to wait 45min for your appointment. Imagine being sick and having to deal with what seems like miserable people who hate their job. Avoid this place.

Very outdated. They dont give you an visit summary, or pain pills , the doctor is over the phone , everything in there is just out dated. I donot recommend this place planned parenthood is an good clean nice clinic instead

Hi . Sorry to say that these clinics are very, very bad. And all the staff working in it from the reception services to the doctor, all of them without exception are all bad. They have no respect for visitors. And not believing what they say. I took an abortion appointment from them on Wednesday to take pills, then the service employee told me that it is better to take an operation and change the appointment to Saturday. Take pills. Then they asked me to bring someone to help me with the translation because I do not speak the language well. Although I told them that I do not speak English. They told me it is not important, you come to us and the translator is not important. He changed their words and said, “I must have a translator, Saadani, my friend on the phone, and the doctor refused the phone, because it takes time. He must be present in front of them. What is the difference? We don’t know if he stands in front of them or is on the phone. Unfortunately, they waste my time and tire me very much.” I do not advise anyone to go to them because he will find himself dealing with bad people and you lie

During the first initial consultation and ultrasound, they provided me with a estimate for a 1st trimester abortion of no more than $500, depending on if we had insurance or not. Once it was decided the procedure was needed, I setup an appointment, the facility confirmed insurance and I was told that it would cost me $300 out of pocket. The day of the procedure, I was the second one in the door at 7:30am. I waited for over 3 hours to be seen, watching a dozen or more people that came in after me, come and go. Then after the 30 min procedure, I was rushed out the door, barely awake, and had to be carried to the car - I felt kinda like a car in quick oil change store. The recovery was fine, until two months later, I was told I now owe an additional $1400. On top of that, they charged my insurance an additional $10,166 - which $8,200 was for operating room supplies. When I contacted Access Health to get a better explanation and an itemized bill for the operating room supplies, they gave me three different answers and also said they dont have an itemized bill, that it is a package deal for the operating room supplies. I further asked, what is the facilities cost for this procedure. I was told there is no certain cost, that it differs for each person and if they have insurance or not. Now I understand that each insurance coverage is different, but for a facility to not even have a base price is very worrisome. From what I come to understand, if you dont have insurance, it is less, if you do, they charge you more. So for a procedure that nationally cost between $350 to $900, it ended up costing $12,154.11, which $1687.47 is out of my pocket. It would have been cheaper to say I did not have insurance.Bottom-line .... DO NOT USE THIS FACILITY. They will rush you in an out of the procedure, even when you are only half awake at the end. They will not inform you of the amount the procedure will cost, give you a false small amount that you initially pay and then charge your insurance a huge amount. After that, if you try to contact them, they will give you different stories each time and threaten you with debt collections if you dont pay. I will be contacting my insurance company, the NICB and the Illinois Medical Boards. This is not the type of facility you want to go to with for such a serious matter and be treated and lied to like that.

Today, I walked into the clinic and saw three women at the front desk. It is so unfortunate to walk into a place needing help and not even get a greeting, neither a smile. The attitudes were unpleasant. I did not even want to book an appointment there once they gave me and mom an unpleasant welcome. Horrible experience.

This has been the worst experience I have ever had when getting an abortion. My appointment was at 10am and I still haven’t been seen nor have I been called. The staff here is sooo rude including the doctor. They schedule everyone at the same time just to get the money but only have one doctor in the building. They tell you have fast the service will be but they don’t tell you that it takes 5-7hrs just to be seen. I would never recommend anybody to come here don’t waste your time.

If you are conflicted about having an abortion..do NOT go here. The name of their facility gives it all away ACCESS. They do not have any counselors like at planned parenthood, they did not accept my insurance which was blue cross blue shield ppo which planned parenthood did. I actually got refused treatment at planned parenthood because I was 21 and at the time still living with my parents who pressured me into it and were very against me keeping the baby and giving the baby away for adoption which I met someone from an agency. You have to pay $400 and like I said easy access in and out and when I put on the surgery equipment I wanted to run out . Go to planned parenthood they at least give you actual care and compassion and have counselors to talk about your options and if this is really what you want. The fact that they did not accept my insurance I felt was shady since I am covered for it. They are obviously a private company and not non-profit which scares me.

They gave me estimate for abortion as somewhere around 450$ and when visited only ultrasound was done and they took 100$ in advance. after the ultrasound we decided that abortion is not required. Today i got to see 488$ bill claim in my insurance. not sure for what they charge that and where is 100$ that i paid and how come they charge for ultrasound more then abortion that includes ultrasound

I would give these people zero stars if I could. My girlfriend decided to choose this facility instead of planned parenthood and PP was way better. They were very unprofessional and very judgemental towards her. Made her feel very uncomfortable with unnecessary remarks and bad comments about her. This is the first review I’ve ever made for any place, I’m not one to make reviews but this had to be said about this facility. Horrible not recommended.

Such kind and empathetic employees and escorts. Much love to workers here for being so understanding. The negative reviews are from pro-lifers. This health facility helps so many men and women daily.

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. Came in for something and they couldn’t even confirm I had a baby when I knew I was pregnant and had it confirmed and proof. Has to go back to the original place to make sure I didn’t miss carry and I didn’t. Wouldn’t suggest this place. How is this place still open if you can’t even do your job right.
