AFC Urgent Care Denver Highlands

I recently had to visit AFC and I was absolutely blown away by the level of care and professionalism. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warmth and genuine concern. The staff was incredibly attentive and made sure I felt comfortable and informed throughout my entire visit. Thanks to Cindy at the front desk.The doctors and nurses were not only highly skilled but also compassionate and patient, taking the time to explain every step of my treatment. The facilities were clean and well-organized, which added to the overall sense of being in good hands.In a time of stress and worry, AFC provided a sense of calm and reassurance. I am extremely grateful for their outstanding service and highly recommend them to anyone in need of emergency care.

My nurse practitioner Miranda was exceptional! Proficient, thorough and so kind! She took so much time with me to explain and determine course of treatment. Desiree was patient, warm, knowledgeable caring! Hugo was awesome even though he had the job of administering my Covid test yikes 😱 He was as gentle as he could be. I’m a bit of a baby. The wait time was manageable as it was a busy Monday. I strolled outside a bit for fresh air and to keep my distance from others. Cindy called my cell when it was my turn to be seen. Exceeded my expectations! The clinic is very clean as well. It was an all around positive experience. Thank you AFC

They were great,& my medical assistants Jasmine & Maribel were very courteous, professional & helpful. I dont have insurance so have to self pay. But they were reasonable price wise,& willing to set me up on payment plan for part of the balance.The Dr also gave me other suggestions to save me money from what the normal procedure would be. I also didnt have to wait forever like Ive experienced other places.But they still apologized even for my very short wait. I came here because its close to my house but definitely will come back if I need to be seen in the future.

American Family Care / Urgent care is amazing. They always have day of available appointments, and the wait time is less than five minutes. I recently saw Jasmine A and Jasmine K for a sore throat. They were extremely efficient, kind and understanding. All around awesome service from an urgent care.

The lady at check in was very sweet and explained procedures and protocols in relation to patient cost. Hugo was my medical assistant and made me feel very comfortable. He was easy to talk to and was very efficient. Jenna Kelly, PA explained directions for my care plan very well and even gave me different options. She was so sweet to my 2 year old daughter. I would definitely come back if I were in the area again.

The staff here really made the experience exceptional! Everyone was REALLY nice from front desk to check out.While needing to go to urgent care isn’t ideal, PA Jenna took such good care of me and my case. She was empathetic and professional. She explained everything and made me feel as comfortable as possible through a procedure.This was my first time ever to an urgent care and I didn’t know how to choose one. I am SO GLAD this is the place I went! If I ever need to, I will definitely be back to this location.

AFC Urgent care was a lifesaver after I got back from Australia and was sick as hell! Mackenzie got me back and taken care of quickly and I was such a good patient I got two Marvel stickers (Spider-Man and the hulk) 10/10 would recommend to anyone who needs some fast care with great bedside manner ✨

We super appreciate this AFC location, they went above and beyond to make sure that we were seen in a timely manner and even after the x-ray technician Mike was supposed to leave, He stayed to make sure my son got his x-ray. They were all very kind and helpful and made the stressful process of having a child at the doctors less painful Kimberly was great too thanks!

The fact Im leaving a 5 star review for an urgent care makes me happy. This is exactly the experience I hope for when I need to go to an urgent care. From the front desk, to the doctors staff, to the x-ray tech, everyone here was kind, friendly, professional, and seemed to genuinely care about my well-being. The facility was clean, the waiting area was comfortable, and everything went as smoothly as I could have hoped. Ill definitely go out of my way to choose this urgent care if I ever need one again!

Had an eye related emergency early Saturday morning and had a great experience at this AFC. Jasmine and Mari were very helpful, and Brad made me feel at ease while taking care of the issue. I was in and out in less than an hour. Will definitely be back if needed!

I had been feeling bad for about a week and visited AFC urgent care on New Year’s Eve. Their online process was really helpful to sign in and get on the wait list. It was pretty busy but they still saw me fairly quickly. Cindy and Stephane listened attentively and helped me get the meds I needed to start feeling better quickly. Thanks!

I had an excellent experience with all the staff. In particular the front desk and the person I saw who evaluated my broken wrist. The recommendations suggested for further care were equally excellent. I think their names were Mackenzie and Desiree (?) and Cindy.

This was my 2nd visit to this urgent care center and my experience was nothing more than outstanding. The entire staff is caring, compassionate and respectful! I definitely would recommend using them if you’re in need of urgent care!

Gold standard of urgent cares! The team here is professional, fast, and thorough. In my most recent visit, Mike and Maribel assessed symptoms, did diagnostic tests, and got me on my way in less than 30 mins. While I hope I’m not a frequent visitor here, it’s at least a great experience each time :)

Mary and team did an excellent job taking care of me and the blockage in my ear. Very pleasant staff and got my issue solved quickly. So appreciative for their help!

Quick and easy appointment with friendly staff! Went in around 8:15 on a Wednesday (no appointment) and was seen within 10 minutes. Everyone was personable and I was out within 30-45 minutes and my prescriptions were sent to the pharmacy. I was assisted by Mari and Jasmine.

AFC Urgent Care in the Highlands has saved me a number of times! They are always quick, but thorough, their staff are great, and they really have taken such wonderful care of me each time! I just had to visit today for a cold and ear infection… Kimberly and Jasmine were fantastic and thanks to them, I am on the road to recovery! Thank you!

Reserved a spot online was able to even register and provide all my health insurance documents online. Walked in, sat for maybe 10 minutes and was able to go back and get seen. Citlaly was so nice from the moment she greeted me. Anytime you go to the urgent care you’re not in the best mood and she treated me without any judgment or rudeness which is common with other places. She also was very respectful and kind. The doctor was also very nice informative. I was in and out in less than an hour. Definitely would recommend this urgent care!

Had a great experience today getting care at AFC. Mari and Jasmine K got me checked in and out easily and quickly. The PA was patient and listened carefully to my strange symptoms before sending me on my way with some medication. This is my second visit to this location and both times have been good experiences.

Ive been to several AFC urgent care facilities in the Denver area, and while my experiences have always been positive, this was my best experience yet. Jasmine & Citlaly were super-efficient, professional, and friendly. Although I was a walk in on a Saturday afternoon, I was in and out in record time. As someone who travels frequently for work and often needs health care outside of normal doctors hours and/or on the weekend, I love the convenience of urgent care facilities and this might become my location of choice.

Went here with a tight chest after having been to a different urgent care across town and not getting any better. They were super helpful and got my prescription sent to the CORRECT pharmacy while I was still at the clinic which the last clinic didn’t do. Really appreciated their help! Highly recommend. I was in an out quick and they answered the phone when I had a question after the fact.

I’ve been going to this urgent care for 5 years, and they consistently have the kindest most helpful team there. I had Hugo and Cindy this time around. They provided great care, the wait was reasonable, and the staff checked in the next day to check in. Amazing care!

Great urgent care, and very pleasant experience! Urgent cares always make me nervous that it will take forever and or all my money 😅 NOT this place! We scheduled our appointment an hour before we arrived online, got there , and waited less than 2 minutes! The staff was all very kind, the doctor was also very nice, he took his time explaining everything and what his thoughts were and why with what was going on with symptoms. We were in and out of there in less than 20 minutes. The price for out of pocket was reasonable and no hidden fees. Not lookin to try to be sick on our next visit to Denver but if we are, this is where we will go! Thanks yall for taking care of us!

I’ve been to urgent care a bunch of times but have never been treated with the high level care and respect that was provided here by Cali and Mosby. They were genuine, respectful, gentle, and made me feel comfortable being there. They knew what they were doing and made sure that I remained in the loop as well. They also made me laugh, which helped me relax and trust the care being provided to me. This was a great experience thanks to the two of them.

I visited AFC Urgent Care on Irving str today and had an exceptional experience from start to finish. The wait time was incredibly short, which was a huge relief when I wasnt feeling my best. The online scheduling portal is incredibly easy to use. The staff were all extremely polite, Jasmine, Kimberly and Stewart , who went above and beyond .The entire clinic was spotless, which really put me at ease. Everyone was professional and friendly, making the entire visit smooth and stress-free. . This is, without a doubt, the best urgent care Ive ever been to. Highly recommend!

Went not feeling 💯% , and doctor visits always make me feel nervous but my doctor was super nice and my nurse Desiree was above and beyond awesome she made me and my daughter feel like family. Will be visiting this place again if and when I get sick. Thank you 🙏

The people at this place are great. Bertha and Kimberly were super helpful and friendly. Kevin did a great job patching me up. Jasmine got me in there right at the end of a day when I thought for sure it would be too late. Couldnt be happier with this place.

This review is long overdue. When I think about my visit and the severe pain I was in, I was so grateful to the staff for seeing me quickly, listening and providing me with the care I needed after assessing my needs. Mike was my MA and I still think about his kindness over two years later. The Highlands has a great team.

I unexpectedly ended up needing emergent care, and was trying to find a place. I luckily stumbled upon this specific Urgent Care. The staff were immediate..attentive ..professional..kind and even followed up the following day to see how I was. Jasmine K & Jasmine A..and Jenna Kelly PA were all amazing. I was feeling incredibly ill, and was lucky to find a clinic that took such great care of me! I cant say enough great things about the team that was assigned me.

AFC in Highlands is outstanding! Cindy checked us in efficiently. Lizbeth was excellent as the nurse and Jory very carefully laid out my options. If we could make AFC our primary care doctor, we’d do it in a heart beat!

I called 15 minutes before the urgent care closed and Jasmine assured me that they could see me and got me all booked and checked in before I arrived. Hardly any wait before Mike brought me back. He was very kind, super knowledgeable, and obviously cared about his patients even at the very end of his shift on a random Wednesday. Doctor came in quickly and put my mind at ease, treated my issue quickly right in the office, and sent in prescriptions to the pharmacy. I was in an out within about 45 minutes. Great experience 5/5

I have been to this urgent care twice now, and both times I was treated with so much kindness and empathy. The staff works fast and well, and you feel welcomed from the start! Hugo assisted me this last time, and he was not only caring but addressed my needs promptly. I will forever and always choose this urgent care for any and all future (pressing) visits!

Ive been here probably 4-5 times for various injuries/mishaps/illnesses across our family, and the staff has always proven to be kind, professional, and knowledgeable. The waits have never been too long and treatment has always felt appropriate to the need. Citlaly was wonderful at the front desk this past visit!

AFC is such a great urgent care if you’re in the highlands area. Each time I’ve visited I have been able to be treated quickly and the staff is very friendly, helpful and professional. Check in is super easy. I went in today and was in and out within 40 minutes, and the staff were all so kind - Hugo and Jasmine were my medical assistants and were awesome! The person working the front desk and my doctor were also great! I will continue to visit AFC when I am in need of urgent care.

I made an appointment online and was pretty much seen right away. Every girl who helped me was so sweet and welcoming, which was much appreciated during a stressful/painful day! Bertha and Jasmine A. specifically were very kind to me. Would definitely recommend to anyone in need of an urgent care!

Everyone at AFC Urgent Care Denver Highlands was incredibly helpful and friendly. We took our 2yo in for an ear infection. Having just moved here less than a week ago, we were anxious about not having a pediatrician to see, but all the folks at AFC were great with our kiddo. Jasmine A even brought her some stickers for being so brave! This could have been a very scary experience for a sick child who has been through a lot of change recently, but we were in and out quickly with no tears - I call that a win! Thank you for taking care of us!

Best urgent care experience. Mike was personable, professional and explained everything about the xrays that were taken. Bertha was extremely thorough, competent, and a pleasure to work with. Very clean facility. And so easy to schedule appt and be seen quickly.

Had an ENT related emergency on a Saturday when all ENT practices are closed. Bertha was really helpful in finding my insurance when I didnt have my card on me, and Dr. Brad really made me feel at ease in the midst of some mild panic. Really appreciate how quickly I was able to be evaluated and given the best prescriptions and next steps.

Flawless experience!I made an appointment online a few minutes ahead and after arriving I saw a nurse almost immediately. Jasmine A and Jasmine K were so helpful, cheerful, and kind, as was Dr. Shu. I was back in my car within 20 minutes!

I had the absolute best healthcare experience with Dr. Mike, his assistant Mike, and front desk staff member Kim. From the moment I arrived, they were caring, knowledgeable, and personable. Also made me laugh a couple of times which took away from the pain I was feeling. As soon as I got there they got me in right away and worked with urgency to ensure I received the treatment I needed.Their attention to detail and genuine concern for my well-being made me feel truly cared for. If every healthcare clinic operated with the same level of compassion and professionalism as Dr. Mike and his team, wed all be feeling better in no time—and with a happy heart! I cant express how much I appreciated their treatment and care today. I highly recommend this facility and the incredible team of Dr. Mike, Mike, and Kim.

I came down with an illness while visiting family in Denver this past week, so I was forced to visit AFC Urgent Care. I was blown away by their amazing customer service and ability to make me feel cared for in every way. Their entire staff is top notch from the front desk workers to the doctors and medical assistants.I would highly recommend them to anyone who needs urgent medical assistance and feel so grateful that I visited this location.

The visit was super quick and easy. Diamond, the MA, prepared the procedure room before I entered and was ready for my injury. She was friendly, professional, and had a comforting personality. Angela, the nurse practitioner, did a great job of stopping the bleeding and getting me cared for quickly. A great team and experience.

It’s never fun going to urgent care, but my recent experience here was as painless as you could hope for. Jasmine (at the front desk) explained the costs clearly and was extremely kind. Mike (RN?) did my vitals and tests faster than I could have imagined. He was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly - making me feel fully heard and taken care of. I hopefully won’t have another urgent care visit anytime soon, but if I do, I will certainly return to AFC Highlands.

We were in town for my daughter’s softball tournament. Needed to have a possible rib fracture checked out. Excellent, excellent, excellent service! Very kind staff. Informative and quick! My daughter had an exam, x-ray, and radiology report done and we were out of the clinic in 40 minutes. Kimberly was great! Mike was fantastic! Would highly recommend!

Incredibly kind, fast and professional care. The assistants, Kimberly and Jasmine K., got me checked in right away. I was seen within minutes by Jenna Kelly, who was thorough and very kind in her treatment.

A family member was having issues and this facility accepted our Blue Cross Blue Shield insurance from Texas. There was no wait for us - I believe they triaged us to the front of the line based on symptoms. The staff were all very kind and Mari and Derek had wonderful bedside manner. They were able to provide treatment to tide us over until we could be seen the following week by other specialists in a non-urgent care setting.

My son was seen here June 3rd on his Birthday I was so happy with the care he received the MA HUGO was just the nicest and so caring. Dr Michael Mcgurren was so amazing and help make my sons birthday a lot better even tho he wasn’t feeling good. 10/10 I would recommend this clinic.

This place is awesome. Went in with my girlfriend for something and they were super nice, helpful, and informative. In and out within an hour. Mike and Callie in particular were so nice. I’ll definitely be going there when my next malady occurs

I was seen on October 17, 2024 at AFC URGENT CARE when i got there i was quickly and easily registered to see the physician. I was with my 4 year old granddaughter who was also sick. Kimberly checked both of us in and was very friendly and efficient. When in the appointment room Mari Ortega got all information very quickly was the sweetheart of the office. Fast efficient and caring. The information of the illnesses was related to them, and the flu and COVID tests were done. Mari was very patient with my granddaughter not wanting to have things stuck down her throat or mouth but with a little levity the task was completed. We were both given antibiotics and other medications that were needed. Were both feeling so much better thanks to the staff at AFC. I have had a few unexpected Urgent care visits here at this particular American Family Care Urgent Center 3800 Irving Street in Denver 80211 Just as recent as 9/30 /2024 . I Have to give them 5 stars from the time I walked in to the time of check out . They were very prompt. The Check-in young lady very welcoming and answered with a smile and very personable. The check in process and wait to be called back was not long at all. As I was called back the assistant was welcoming with a caring gesture. The assistant in the room , Citlaly asked me my questions and concerns her answers were very caring responses and she was very sweet , kind and showed compassion. She was very prompt with the tests she performed she explained what she was going to do before hand and after. Great job Citlaly!! 👏😊 And I cant say ENOUGH about MD.Michael M. I have to say he truly stands behind his MD. title ! He was Compassionate, Patient ,Caring and truly knew what was wrong he explained everything in detail and taking genuine time as to what his plan for me was going to be!! And I didnt feel like I was in and out and rushed with no answers regarding my health visit. I went in feeling horrible after 4 days of being ill. The plan and prescriptions he prescribed have me feeling 75% better in just 10 hrs. of Seeing him! His Expertise is Outstanding! He Deserves a 10 Star in my Book!!! The Best Urgent Care Facility MD. Very friendly and welcoming staff: Jasmine the receptionist was super helpful and awesome to talk to. Mike clearly is a rockstar nurse! He was super kind and caring. I went to Urgent Care this morning with a full, painful ear. The staff - both front desk and medical - was fast, professional and effective. I was done in 30 min and felt so much better after being treated.

Mike is the best! Was so patient and took his time trying out multiple boots and braces for my sprained ankle until we found the best fit. Showed up for my appointment, got X-rays, and got fitted for a brace and walked out less than an hour later.

Mike and team were swift, diligent, and super informative. I was avoiding coming to urgent care but they made the experience so much more enjoyable. If any thing comes up for me again (hopefully not), I will definitely be back to this location!

I had such empathetic and thorough care when I needed to come in for unexpected stitches. My name is Lacey, posting under my husbands account however Michael was super helpful with getting me what I needed. I have been having issues getting in with my PCP and I I have been having a lot of shoulder pain. Mikey was able to get me an appointment relatively fast and over the phone. This is super helpful itself being I have two young kids. I was able to get the help and referrals I needed to start getting my shoulder looked at. I couldn’t be more thankful for him right now.

I love this place! I’ve been here quite a few times for many injuries and everytime i come in i always have a great experience! Today I went in for a blister burn and Mike helped to walk me through next steps and reassure me that with the right care taken it would heal in due time! Then Sara came in with her expertise and gave me specific instructions to help heal my wound! Mike and Sara were awesome, love this place and the people.

AFC Urgent Care was quick and efficient. Edgar took my vitals and was attentive and detailed. The provider took the time to answer my questions and go over my options.

Very Profesional and quick. Naila and Cindy were clearly phenomenal at their jobs and I was stitched up and sent on my way quickly.

I made an appointment and was able to get in within a few hours. Once I was there I didn’t have to wait very long. Jasmine was friendly. Mike was the one that helped me once back in the exam room. He made me feel so comfortable and very nice. I had a great experience.

Excellent experience! The Doctor, Brad explained my diagnosis very thoroughly and patiently answered my question. I also appreciate that he covered all the bases and prescribed antibiotics in case the first medicine didn’t work (it worked!) so that I would not have to go back for another visit. My assistant Mike was also very friendly and helpful.

First time needing to use this urgent care. My past experiences with other urgent cares has not been great with standoffish employees and little sense of urgency. Here, all three employees I dealt with were most kind and helpful, perhaps most especially Cali. I didn’t have a particularly gruesome or debilitating issue, but I received efficient and professional care.

Came in to the AFC urgent care in denver the staff was nice I was greeted by Desiree she took all my information and done my vitals she was amazing got me in and out quickly.

I can’t remember his name, but the doctor I saw was the best I’ve seen in recent memory. He treated me as a person and not just a symptom, and I couldn’t have been more grateful. I obviously don’t want to have a reason to go back, but if I ever do, I’d hope he’s my doctor again.

I was very happy with the level of care at AFC urgent care Denver Highlands. We were in town visiting friends and my son got injured. Kevin and the rest of the team were fast and thorough. I made an appt for 9am and then received a text message saying there was no xray tech available today. I called and spoke to someone who was so unfriendly and not helpful at all. She had such an attitude when she answered the phone, very unprofessional. I explained to her that I received a text message that there was no xray tech available and asked her if that was correct. She very rudely said yeah and then it was just crickets. I was like ok, so are you going to cancel my appt then? Do you have an xray tech somewhere else? I mean, help me out here. Apparently, only one location in the Denver Metro area has an xray tech on Friday. What good does this do anyone? Several locations but xrays are only available at one location. How inconvenient. Rude staff and extremely limited care options. Useless.

AFC Urgent Care has been my Go-To place for minor emergencies for many years. The staff members from reception to the MAs (Shout-Outs to Hugo, Jasmine K & Bertha), NPs (Shout-Out to FNP Kevin R) & PAs (Shout-Out to PA Stu H) are all friendly, efficient & professional. The office is conveniently located in the Highlands neighborhood in NW Denver & the facility is well-appointed. The website is easy to navigate offering online scheduling, registration & text alerts, which is very user-friendly. For situations where a same-day appointment is needed, but an emergency room visit is not, I highly recommend AFC Urgent Care.

Made an appointment online just 40 minutes in advance and finished registration online. When I got there, they had all my info and I was in a treatment room about 6 minutes later. Left with a scrip about 15 minutes after that. Great experience.

Best urgent care I have ever been to! Doctors, MAs, and all of the staff were so kind and a stark difference to other urgent cares I have been to. Their check in process was amazing and I even received a referral for an ENT which is rare for an urgent care to go that extra step. Highly recommend!

I dont recommend this clinic. Ive been to it twice, and the following were issues that I experienced.First visit: The worst was probably when I was asked to provide a sample, and when I walked into the bathroom, there was someone elses blood on the toilet. I told the staff member who directed me there that there was someone elses blood, and she responded by rolling her eyes and said, You want ME to clean it up?, as if it were my job. And there were still blood stains when I was told I could go back in.The provider, though very kind, gave me incorrect information regarding whether my insurance covered a specific PCR test. I was told they dont, but later learned that they actually do. Providers should not be involved with billing and insurance coverage information. That is something the billing department should be able to address, and admin/medical assistants should have access to that information.Unfortunately, during my second visit, I learned that AFCs billing department seems to have no knowledge nor access to procedures/codes to be able to verify with your insurance whether they would cover that specific procedure. That is STANDARD PRACTICE.The front desk told me to call billing. Billing said they dont have the information, call the clinic. Called the clinic, and was forwarded to a medical assistant who told me to GOOGLE the procedural code myself. I told her I did actually do that, but that doesnt tell me what code THEY actually ordered. She said hold on, returned a minute later, and gave me a code. I asked her if she just googled that, and she admitted YES. She told me only providers have that information. So she said hang on again, and returned with a different code. I asked her if it was for a PCR test, and she said YES. That was actually not true.I made more calls, left multiple voicemails which were never returned. When I finally reached a live person, she told me that someone with the initials C.C. had documented that she called me and left me a VM the evening before. I received no call, nor VM from anyone. I asked again for what procedure/code was actually ordered. She repeated the same information which was contradictory. She forwarded me to a medical assistant who also said the same thing. I again asked for the procedural code, she said that only providers have that information, otherwise she would have to call the lab. I said yes, please call the lab, and when I said please dont bother the provider because I had just been told that it was very busy there, she put me on hold and asked the provider. She came back with a code that was NOT for a PCR test. ONE WHOLE WEEK and 10+ phone calls to get this info.So AFC BILLING doesnt have knowledge nor access to procedural codes which are integral to billing functions. The front desk and medical assistants dont have access to procedural codes. Though my first provider called me to discuss results, the 2nd provider thought it was appropriate to tell the front desk staff to review results with me and to be sure to follow up with my PCP regarding abnormal findings. And providers are not educating patients about serious adverse effects from taking prescribed meds. So the 2nd medical provider doesnt review medical information, the front desk staff is. Medical providers are providing insurance/billing information. The front desk staff is reviewing medical results with patients. Medical assistants dont have access to procedural codes, and are confused about actual procedures and codes.Highly ineffective and inappropriate operations, unethical communications and behaviors, lack of sanitary environment and unprofessional attitudes.Mike was the clinic manager during my 1st visit, and he made a difference. He deeply cared about patients, and diligently attempted to problem solve. I learned he left, and it was obvious from the chaos.11 days later, I still dont know the results of my lab test, and it is causing delays in medical treatments that I desperately need.

I ran into a little trouble at the front desk trying to get signed up but the lady behind the counter was super patient and helpful to me. And then once I got taken back there everyone who helped me was very kind and honestly pretty funny too. They all made me feel super comfortable. My doctor was Hollie I believe and I totally recommend her. Definitely will be coming back here when I need to again haha

No one wants to go to urgent care...but if you must this is a safe space to be. The lady at the front desk (I forgot her name) was warm and inviting. Mike took my vitals and concerns, and Devin saw me and addressed my pain. I appreciate them all. (Random side not, its near Skinner Middle School where my oldest went there, a lot of the parents there might need to check this location! )

The lobby was clean, the staff was extremely friendly, and the PA was very professional. I left my appointment feeling very informed.

My fiancé went in for some eye troubles and we had a fantastic experience. Everyone was so nice and professional. We were in and out in under 30 min. Nice to receive great care.

Dealt with Mike and Derek today, and they were both extremely helpful in diagnosing and assisting me with a fractured bone. You can tell they genuinely care. Very happy with the treatment I recieved today!

Ive been here a couple times a year for different things, and Ive never had less than 5 star experience. Every person is attentive, knowledgeable, and just genuinely sincere.Received some awesome care yesterday with a couple stitches and rash after a bike fall, and Cali and John couldnt have made it easier.Saying I want to go back feels weird... But I wont hesitate to go back to the Highlands Urgent Care. 10/10

Friendly and efficient, it was clean and pretty quiet when i got there.Though it got busier the interaction with the receptionist was fun.My technician Mike was easy to work with.Doctor was clear and fast with advice no frilly add ons.

I gotta say that this is one of the best urgent cares that I have gone too. I went in on 05/24/24 to get stitches in my thumb after an accident with a hunting knife. All of the staff was incredibly kind. Then on 5/30/24, I went to get them out. Once again I was treated incredibly well. They only gave me a slip with Mari and Jasmine names on it, but I believe that everyone there needs to get a free lunch. Its so refreshing (specifically after the pandemic) to have such great hospitality and care at a medical facility.

My appointment was very quick, Cindy at the front desk and my MA Hugo were extremely helpful.

Usually going to the doctor is stressful and feeling sick sucks. But the one upside is being able to interact with the amazing staff at AFC urgent care in Denver highlands. Every time I’ve ever come here in the past five years everyone has been so incredibly kind, comforting, competent, knowledgeable, and warm. Especially diamond! She is so lovely and truly made my day. And Kevin Ralls is an ANGEL! I wish I didn’t have to be sick to come here! And it’s so cutely decorated!

No one likes having to go to urgent care when they feel bad. But Kimberly, Citaly and PA Kelly insured I was in and out fast and with the care that I needed. When I went to urgent care I received the care I needed in a timely fashion. Brittany was very helpful.

Truly an amazing clinic. Easy to schedule an appointment online, open 7 days a week, and a clean clinic! It’s tough finding a clinic that accepts Medicaid so it feels like I’ve hit a holy grail. From the friendly & knowledgeable front desk, to the rockstar of an MA (Hugo), and the caring physicians, I am glad I found this clinic. Everyone at the clinic deserves free lunch!

Could not recommend AFC Urgent Care enough! Mike and the team were great at explaining everything, helping with any questions and getting my injury seen quickly. They even stayed past business hours to make sure I was all set. Would definitely recommend and return for future medical needs!

Don’t plan on discussing treatment or talking to the provider once labs have been returned. Only a medical assistant will call, but their knowledge is limited. For every question you ask they have to ask the provider. It’d be so much more helpful if the provider would just follow-up on positive cases, run though the game plan and go over any questions.I went down to Mexico and had stomach issues. Provider was friendly and knowledgeable. He ordered the tests needed which came back quickly but weren’t totally conclusive. The lab recommended doing another test to confirm the type parasite that was contracted. I missed the call from the medical assistant on a Friday morning. I called back an hour later, but nobody answered the phone with either the front desk or labs prompt. I left a voicemail, but didn’t receive a follow-up until Monday. I tried asking some questions but they had to go ask the provider. Very frustrating that the provider doesn’t call back on positive cases.Then I reviewed the notes from the test more thoroughly and found out that the test wasn’t even conclusive with treatments varying depending on the specific species. That would require another test but the labs only hold onto samples for 3 days. I left another voicemail but never received a call back. So at this point it’s ether take an aggressive anaerobic antibiotic that might not even solve the problem or make another appointment just to go through the same process again.I am giving two stars instead of one as the provider was really good. I just wish I could get ahold of them.

Mike and Jenna were amazing. I have been to many urgent cares but this was the best experience by far. I brought my 3.5 year old and they had a special exam room for kids that helped put her at ease. They were so nice, knowledgeable, and efficient without rushing us.

I had the most wonderful experience here after breaking my foot. Mike and his team treated me with excellent care and I felt heard throughout the entire process. Easy reservation process, quick and professional intake. The Dr/PA was fantastic. Gave clear and understandable explanation as to what was going on, recommended several options for treatment and made me confident to start that treatment. Additionally provided contact information for specific resources and other businesses that I could use for treatment. I had a strained back so she checked for possible other injuries, gave me a course of treatment and recommended two local businesses that could help me through massage and other wholistic options. Invaluable information. Very satisfied.

Hardly ever do you have a smooth medical experience from start to finish. From the moment I walked i received excellent care. Diamond and Heather were super helpful and the doctor I saw was incredibly helpful at easing my concerns, and guiding me on a path towards next steps. Their recommendations were clear and I felt at ease my whole time here. Ive taken my kids to AFC Highlands before and had positive experiences, but this was my first visit personally, and Ill certainly be back! The staff were great! Everyone seemed genuinely happy to be there.Doc Payne was awesome -- knowledgeable and straightforward and she actually took time to talk things through. Many docs seem so hurried these days, but she was happy to fully answer all my questions and was in no hurry to race off.Mike the x-ray tech was also great -- he was actually singing as he came in to collect me. He asked excellent questions about my injury as he took the pictures and was concerned about my comfort.Highly recommend!

Ive been here many times. Last time Kimberly, Maribel, and the provider took good care of me. To address a recent poor review, yes, they do ask you to leave a review, but I dont find that unethical. I wouldnt leave one if I didnt think they did a great job. Asking for your feedback probably increases their level of customer service. While Ive always had super short wait times, I also understand that emergencies happen (this is an urgent care after all) and patients must be triaged to care for everyone appropriately.

What a fantastic team at the Highlands AFC Urgent Care! Ive been to a different AFC, and the customer service was not as good. This location had really friendly and helpful people. Jasmine helped me get checked in quickly and was super helpful with my workers comp paperwork. Hugo, my medical assistant, was super friendly and really personable. Not that anyone ever wants to be at urgent care, but if you have to pick one, this place has a fantastic team of people to assist you in your time of need!

I came to this Urgent care for vertigo that I woke up with, I must say this staff here are very wonderful people!! I was treated so well , I was assisted by Mari Jasmine very polite, patient and answered all my questions. The staff here are great !! I highly recommend

AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS. The staff is rude, snarky, and just overall a complete disgrace to the medical profession with their lack of bedside manner and causticness. The nurse who greeted us was not friendly, and gave extremely flippant responses to basic questions while taking vitals. Ive been to other AFC locations and had great experiences, so I assume this location is just plagued with inexperienced people who dont know how to treat patients with kindness and respect. Go to ANY other urgent care, not here!!

I had such a great experience at AFC Urgent Care. As a first time patient, I was not sure what to expect. The staff were incredibly kind and I felt genuinely cared for. Citlaly helped me check in as a walk in quickly and I did not have to wait very long to be seen considering the small crowd in the waiting room. Desiree made me feel comfortable and at ease in the exam room. After experiencing different urgent cares in Denver, I absolutely would come here again (if needed).

Always impressed with the quick, professional service provided at AFC Highlands. Mike and Jasmine were particular standouts this time. Thanks for the attention and looking forward to AFCs new location in RiNo.

I crushed my fingers in a door and came here on a Friday afternoon to get X-rays. There were quite a few people in the waiting room but I only sat for about 10 minutes before being seen. Mike brought me back and took my X-rays. He was kind, cracked a few jokes, and shared his own story of a hand crush injury. I was seen after the X-rays by Devin. She was extremely thorough and knowledgeable as we talked over my injury. Despite how busy they seemed, Devin took her time with me which is rare for an urgent care. I genuinely felt cared for. 10/10 would recommend coming here for any urgent care needs!
