Great experience. Long wait because so many people were sick but after getting in a room. Dr. was very friendly, knew exactly what my symptoms were indicating. She was very good with treatment directions and showed she cared about my wellness. Best urgent care experience I’ve had.
The staff lat afc urgent care in Castle Rock was absolutely amazing! They were very understanding and listened to everything very tentatively. The whole process was timely mannered. Everyone was super kind and respectful. They also called me a few days after my visit to see how I am doing.I highly recommend!
The staff (Aurora, Gartrell) were very professional and nice! Star (MA) and Melissa (NP) were very welcoming and helpful. I was overly emotional when Melissa came in with a plan to healing...thank you for the wonderful support and services that were provided to me! Definitely will be my go to place 💛
AFC was wonderful with my out of town family members who got sick while visiting over the holidays. The doctor especially was kind and patient with seniors and took the time to listen and look into all the effects of their illness, especially breathing and blood pressure issues. The staff was friendly, accommodating, and thorough. We’ve had great experiences here when we’ve needed after hours care, and to have that experience with out of town guests was another welcome care experience! And illnesses are improving, best of all.
My family and I have been here several times over the last couple of months. Everyone we have dealt with has been very pleasant and helpful, from the front desk to the doctors. Overall, their communication and follow up is solid and I’d recommend them.
Thank you so much to your staff being so kind and quick to see my son. Our doctor even took the time to enjoy a little Taylor Swift with my son before we left. Im very impressed with how quickly we were seen and the prescription being sent to the pharmacy and them processing it so quickly.
Doctor Shilo was so nice, patient.and knowledgeable.Becca was amazing when I called on the phone and when I saw her in person!!!They worked as a team.I didnt have to wait too long and they were very kind!
Shiloh Smith, MD and her staff were amazing! They made me feel very comfortable, relaxed and extremely taken care of. The health care workers here are kind, professional, compassionate and caring. I would recommend this urgent care to anyone in the area of Castle Rock.
Every staff members that helped me last night was extremely nice and helpful. The front desk lady that was working the night of 11/16/2024 and the nurse both were extremely polite to me and helped me calm down in a very stressful moment for me and I will be forever appreciative of them both. The doctor was also very nice and explained everything to me. I believe the physician I saw was named Michelle. But to all 3 ladys, thank you for everything that night!
Everyone was so helpful when my son got a cut at daycare. We were seen within 20 minutes, and out of there with 12 sutures in around an hour. Bonnie at the front desk was very friendly and Kelsey took such great care of my son. Dr. Eason did the stitches, they healed great and we got them out 5 days later. In and out in 40 minutes to get them removed. Cant thank this staff and especially Kelsey enough for how compassionate they were with my scared 3 year old and how easy it was to be seen. Hopefully we dont have many more urgent situations like this, but well come back here if we do.
The wait was long. But, the service was excellent. I came in with a pretty bad sinus infection, not the biggest deal in the world, but I was in quite a bit of pain from the pressure. The staff was kind and talked to me in depth about a good treatment plan.
Disappointing and Unprofessional Care at AFC Urgent CareI have never encountered such an appalling lack of empathy and professionalism as I did during my recent visits to AFC Urgent Care. From the rude and unempathetic front desk receptionist, Bonnie, to the dismissive and unhelpful medical providers like PA Rhonda, this clinic has proven itself incapable of delivering even the most basic standard of care.I initially visited for a severe sore throat but was misdiagnosed and treated for an ear infection and an eye cold. Despite voicing my concerns and symptoms, I was prescribed antibiotics and eye drops that caused a serious allergic reaction. When I reported this reaction, I was told to see an eye doctor because the staff was more concerned about my vision than addressing their failed treatment plan. The eye doctor confirmed the damage and prescribed new drops to reverse the reaction. A week later, still unwell, I called AFC seeking stronger antibiotics for my worsening symptoms, including severe eye pain. They refused to prescribe anything and referred me back to the eye doctor, disregarding my overall condition.Nearly a month after my initial visit, I returned with the same sore throat, ear pain, and throbbing eyes. This time, I was finally given stronger antibiotics, but the care didn’t improve. When my lab results came back, the clinic couldn’t answer my medical questions and once again referred me elsewhere, wiping their hands of responsibility. The dismissive attitudes of Bonnie and PA Rhonda made an already frustrating experience unbearable. At this point, I feel like a medical experiment rather than a patient. I’ve lost trust in their diagnoses and treatment plans entirely.AFC Urgent Care failed on every front: inadequate care, unprofessional communication, and a complete lack of patient advocacy. If you’re seeking competent and compassionate medical attention, I urge you to look elsewhere.Does this align with the tone you were going for?
I had a great experience at AFC yesterday. I could feel the level of concern and amazing care they had for me. Not only that, but they checked in with me today and requested I call them every day to update them. I came in unsure of my condition. I still left Unconfirmed of my condition, because what the PA was confident I had was not testable unfortunately. (Outside of a spinale tap) I was self pay, and they did everything they could to keep me out of ER. Rhonda did everything in her power to figure out what was going on. They gave me a nausea medication, gave me a prescription for another, and a muscle relaxer shot. Gave me amazing advice for how to stay out of the hospital, but gave me strict advice that if my condition worsened to go to the ER. I will absolutely be returning and recommend this AFC to anyone.
All the experience of American family care urgent care was very good. The front desk. Becca was very helpful and check in within a few minutes and the tech. Heather got all the vitals and information about the condition of mine and especially Dr. Rebecca was very friendly. and quickly understand the symptoms and prescribe the medication refills and explain about the condition. Thank you so much for your help and support. The whole team is very good.
Just got back from the best Urgent Care experience ever!! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by Becca with smiles and compassion of my situation. Prior to even coming in, I spoke to Kelsey on the phone about my issues and she was such a delight and so informative while answering my questions. Meeting her in person was equally awesome! The FNP-C , Melissa Grob, made me feel heard and her diagnosis and treatment was top notch! Thank you, Becca, Kelsey, and Melissa for the wonderful care I got tonight!!
Im so glad my neighbor told me to use AFC Urgent Care Aurora Gartrell location back in June when I needed care. I knew this is where I wanted to bring Mom today. Thanks for the online registration process which minimized our wait time! Staff was very friendly and helpful!Update: I ended up taking my mother to the emergency room and they found broken bones that urgent care didnt pick up with their xray machines. Hospitals have CT scans for better detection of fractures.
My daughter was very sick, she had nausea, was pale and dizzy, had a sore throat and coughed. The doctor immediately recognized she had the flu. Also we didn’t have to wait much at all. The staff was fast, kind and helpful. I recommend AFC highly
On 4/19/2024, my three kids and I went to AFC Urgent Care in Castle Rock to get tested for strep throat. We were tested because we were headed to Europe and found out we had been exposed during a family visit. During the visit, all four of us received throat swabs for a rapid test. All 4 tests came back as negative, however, visually, my middle childs throat looked as if it could have strep. As a result, the nurse returned to the patient room and administered a second swab on her, and her alone. At the time, we were informed that she needed to have her swab sent off to the lab for more in depth testing. The other three of us were not re-swabbed nor told that our original swabs would be sent off for additional testing. A week later, I received a phone call that my middle childs test was negative and two weeks later I received the invoice for my portion of the test. I then received an invoice for my youngest child approximately one month later or two months after the visit, followed by a third invoice for my oldest child another month later or three months after the visit and a fourth invoice for myself, yet another month later or four months after the visit. Neither I nor my wife received a phone call with results nor were we re-swabbed or informed that we were receiving lab tests. I have contacted the Manager at AFC Urgent Care Castle Rock and she has committed to following up with an answer 4 different times and each time has failed to return my call (6/19, 7/25, 8/23, 9/20). The excuse is that she works in urgent care and doesnt have time to return my call. This is unacceptable and appears fraudulent. How could invoices be generated two, three, and four months after the fact and coincidentally, for the individuals that were not re-swabbed nor were informed of any additional testing?
Preregistered on website. Wait was very brief, eg 2 minutes. Went to exam room and nurse took my vitals immediately. Dr. came in shortly thereafter. Exam and diagnosis was very efficient. Prescription was sent to pharmacist. Entire visit was about 20 minutes. Extremely efficient. Entire team was kind, helpful and knowledgeable. Would definitely recommend their services.
AFC Urgent care is without a doubt the best care center my wife and I have encountered. They are professionals at all aspects of the business. Kelsay Makes sure that from the moment you arrive you are recognized, entered into the system and as a medical technician she makes the process seamless. Melanie was our Physician Assistant today and was wonderful with Both myself and my wife being that we were Covid positive and really sick. I can’t say enough good things about the treatment we received today. Kudos to you all 👍
I was feeling ill with a cough, runny nose and headache, thinking I had a sinus infection, so I went to this facility. The staff was friendly and efficient and the physicians assistant was very compassionate in explaining my results. My results showed Covid and I was given a prescription for.Pax Ovid. I’m on my 3rd dose of meds and feel so much better.
Despite saving a place in line at 11:50 I wasnt seen by Dr.Penkoff until 1:15. Numerous people came while I was waiting and were in and out with no issues. When I saw her she was rushing. Had a skin infection in an awkward place and she refused to look at it and would only look at the photos I took of it. I once had concerns about my anus and was seen at another clinic and the Dr there had no issue looking at it but I guess Dr.Penkoff thinks shes above that and doesnt care. Was put on so many oral antibiotics I developed long lasting yeast folliculitis and stomach issues.
Had good experience here in the past, but will not return. Went in for routine testing/blood work. Was told to expect 3-5 days (which is standard). Here we are almost 2 weeks after my appointment and still waiting on my results. I called once and they told me that they hadn’t received all of them, so they’d be in touch in 1-2 days (this was last week). I called again on (9/30) and left a voicemail. Still haven’t heard a thing. Extremely unprofessional…. I feel like crap and they have done nothing to resolve. Had to go to another clinic and now waiting on results. Should have just went elsewhere from the get go. Will not return to AFC Castle Rock.
I live in Houston now, so I didnt know what to do. I knew I had to do something real quick. I google a place nearest to me. I wasnt feeling good at all. AFC came up. So typed in there address, and on my way. I was very nervous, cause 😬 I was in a strange place, my primary was in Houston. I walked in, up to the front desk. And the intake was so sweet to me. Very little wait. Doctor came in right away. Didnt even have a chance to fill in the forms. Great Doctor, knew just what to do. Up and out I went across the street to the best King Soopers ever. Great organic section, and super sweet pharmacist. 😋
Wonderful caring staff, from check in to leaving with referral and X-ray results in 35 minutes. Staff was friendly and compassionate, definitely recommend
I thank them for listening to my concerns and prescribing the meds and nebulizer treatments for home use. Im able to manage my airways better as I work through my condition.
They got me in immediately (scheduled appointment), which Im not used to for urgent care facilities, so that was refreshing. And my doctor was wonderful (Dr. K Cayanus I believe her name was). She seemed to actually care and want to help me with my concern. It was just an all around refreshing experience.
I had a first time visit to the AFC Urgent Clinic on 9/4/24 in Castle Rock, Colorado. Kelsey and Dr.Shilo Smith, MD were fantastic. They checked me in with ease, listened intently to my health concerns and answered all of my questions. I also received a follow up call the following day to check in on how I was feeling. I couldn’t have ask for any better quality of care.
Attention to the owner please:I brought my son in back on July 11 as directed by his PCP to have wax cleaned out of his ears. He had been dealing with blockage for several days and we had already tried all the home remedies. We couldnt get in to see his doctor the day of the 11th, which is why they advised us to go to the urgent care to have a procedure done in order to get him immediate relief. We were told by the doctor at AFC Urgent Care Castle Rock that they do not have the equipment at this location to do this and he advised us to go back home and use olive oil in my sons ear over the next few days.Since we were done trying the home remedies route, we called back his PCP and thankfully got in the following day where they took care of it in the office. It took about 3-5 min and used a tool I later found on Amazon for about $16, which simply squirts water into the ear to loosen up the wax so that it can drain out. His ears cleared almost immediately, and he could hear again on the drive back home.A few days later, I received a bill in the mail from AFC Urgent Care for $160!?? Im trying to understand what this could possibly be for. No services were provided to us. Not so much as a bandaid was given, so Im not inclined to pay anything, much less $160. I have been disputing this for nearly a month now, and no one seems to be able to assist me with this matter. Im being told its under investigation- although Im not clear what there is to investigate when they should be able to look back in their records and see that no service was actually provided, outside of a recommendation to go home and keep doing what wed already tried (info that we had found 2 days prior in the first few results of a google search).I would sincerely appreciate a response to this. I consider myself a reasonable person and have no problem paying for services I receive. Likewise, I do not expect to pay for services not received.Thank you very much for your time.
Super sweet ladies. I work in the medical field and it can be overwhelming sometimes. I totally forgot her name but she was running the front desk and the medical assistant side of things. She deserves a raise forsure. I was in on 08-04-2024 :) if that date helps on who was working both ends. Also the doctor was super sweet as well giving me insight on how to continue treatment outside of what they gave me to help with what I had going on. Just over all a great experience.
Our provider was truthfully amazing. What very easily could have been a terrifying experience for my 7 year old was made to be enjoyable. This expands beyond professional qualifications (which were absolutely present), she was just a good human being.
Ladies were so nice and friendly and I definitely wanna go back and Internet if I could switch them to my primary doctor care I totally would!
Started off with an amazing experience with Bonnie. She was helpful and kind. Them Capri the medical assistant and x ray tech was so helpful, informative and kind. MelanieWas the PA and she was absolutely amazing. SuperInformative, patient and made it such a quick and comfort Ng experience.
Convenient, kind and professional. The entire staff did an amazing job in filling the gap between my primary care physician and the Emergency Room. Super grateful I found them!
If you need an x-ray, make sure they are offering the service that day before going to the trouble to submit any personal data online. I chose this facility because of the described x-ray capability on the website. I scheduled online and did online paperwork. Got to the facility and saw a sign on the desk, No X-ray Today. After confirming that with a front desk employee, I left and went to UCHealth Urgent Care in Castle Rock where I was seen very quickly on a Saturday afternoon.
Provider Penkoff R was honestly rude, heard her tell a client that if his truly struggling to breath then he needs to go to the hospital, and then had an unpleasant attitude.Came in for an X-ray and the staff didn’t even know that there was no x-ray tech on site.Secretary and nurse where nice but provider Penkoff was not at all.
They have a great staff there. My appointment was very quick and, I feel, very thorough. I appreciate the staff for getting me in and out. They were great!
Absolutely the best urgent care we have been to. We have been twice this year for two different reasons and this place is amazing. The level of care is amazing. Highly recommend.
Absolutely awful. Waited for 2 and a half hours while there were barely any people there. Finally taken back and got my heart rate done. Waited another half hour until I asked for my money back and left. Not worth it, go to Castle Pines.
Do not go to this establishment. The receptionist was extremely rude. Never looked up from her computer screen and said “what do you need” instead of greeting a customer properly. Instead of scanning my insurance and ID cards, she sent me a link. Internet there is terrible and would not allow me to upload my documents. I walked out in disgust and disbelief. Horrible experience.
Very affordable and incredibly nice staff! I took my daughter there for her school physical with no insurance only $35 and they were fast and so sweet with my kid! Would recommend to anyone :)
Just left Urgent Care Castle Rock. I had a minor issue-wax build up in my left ear. The doctor was friendly, knowledgeable, and provided great service. Those working in the office were also the best. My experience was totally positive.
The place is clean ill give that and thats it. The staff is SLOWWWWWW. They dont even come in the room to give you a heads up that it is taking longer than expected.. The Dr mixed me up with a totally different patient that she was currently seeing. They thought I was going to wait for an hour and a half to be seen.. I sat in there for an hour for no Dr to come see me or a MA to even check in. This place doesnt care about you, only themselves ans their leisure time.
Excellent experience, felt like an individual and not rushed. The provider really listened, provided excellent care but education moving forward.
Star helped us. My son has high anxiety typically at the dr along with SPD. Star was amazing. Spent time to explain in detail what she was going to do and the appt couldnt have been smoother.
What an amazing exp with Kelsey, Becca and Melissa Grod. They Identified the my BP was very low and jumped into action! I am from NEPA and will always be grateful for their amazing help!
Staff was great, got me seen immediately with little wait. Dr Melanie was great and so nice. Would recommend choosing this urgent care.
These people are all wonderful. Today I got exceptional service from both Lisa and Dr. Shiloh. They both paid attention to detail. I very impressed with how well the trimmed and scrubbed away at my burned leg. LOL seriously, it required a lot of cleaning and very meticulous trimming of burned skin. Both ladies showed great empathy and worked sensitively around a very painful wound. I feel a bit silly bragging on these 2 but they really worked with care and took their time so as not to just get it all done quickly which would have caused a lot of hurt!!!These 2 really know what they are doing and were legitimately concerned and careful!!!Great service!!
The customer service was expedient and very friendly! Every employee I interacted with were as pleasant as the last! I highly recommend this place! I was in and out in an hour. Thank you so much Castle Rock urgent care!
You all are absolutely amazing! Star made my daughter completely comfortable and eased her worries and Melanie was proactive with her treatment for my daughter. My daughter and I came in for an ear infection for her and bronchitis for me! Thank you for seeing both of us at the same time and getting us healthy again. Absolutely amazing staff! We will be back when we need to be seen on the weekend. Caring, fast, listened and truly cared. Thank you again!
What an amazing doctor and front desk staff. They got me in within three minutes of walking through the front door and had me fixed up in no time. I highly recommend them.
Awesome staff! In and out with my son’s 3 stitches. They made my son feel very safe and relaxed. They also let him choose from staples or stitches. I very much appreciate their help, professionalism, and caring nature from Dr. Eason and the tech Heather! Bravo
Staff were all very helpful and friendly! The front desk lady Bonnie was so kind and patient helping me get my insurance figured out. The tech Lisa, helped me feel comfortable and even laugh in a not so fun situation. And the provider Rhonda, was thorough and helped explain what was going on so I could understand which really helped. Would definitely recommend coming here if you have any medical needs that need to be addressed. I know I will be in the future if I ever do! Thank you all for all your help!!
The team was very helpful and kind when I was feeling really poorly. The pre-registration helps a lot to plan around and also to konw that there is at least room and on average they are close to the pre-registration time by about 15-20 mins. This is my go-to location for help when I cant get into the doctor since their waiting lists for appointments are so long.
Kelsey was so very kind to me during my visit. I was so sick, with a high fever, and she took me back to a room to lie down while waiting for the provider instead of staying in the waiting room. She covered me with a blanket and made sure I was comfortable. She took really good care of me and went above and beyond. Thanks so much, Kelsey!
Kelsey and Rebecca did a fantastic job taking care of of my 7 Yr olds toe! Fantastic job. Quick. Professional and easy!
AFC was awesome from start to finish! The check in process was quick & easy, the staff was friendly & the provider was very knowledgeable!
I received excellent patient care at this facility, I was promptly seen and the staff was friendly and attentive. The wonderful physician even went as far as to get me an appointment with a urologist the next day I highly recommend this urgent care!
Worst urgent care service Ive seen across several states. For something as basic as a covid test.First, the appointment was at 7:20pm. All paperwork was done online ahead of time. Waited 30min until they were almost closed before I was seen.Second, the provider wouldnt even enter the room to see me. She (Rebecca Pencoff) stood in the doorway and talked from there, like I had Ebola and was bleeding from the eyes. Im simply there for a COVID test, which was already taken. We are both masked.First thing she says, Do you have COVID? Well isnt that what im here to ask YOU? Thats why Im here for the test, Einstein. Im not impervious from COVID she says.Well, put more PPE on or get a new line of work if you are that fearful.Third, she said theyd call with test results the next day. Here we are 3 days later with no communication. I was given a paper listing Statlab diagnostics, also stating a call the next morning. I call the number on the paper, and the message says to call the clinic where I went!So I called the clinic number and can not get a human on the line after 3 tries of various selections.Ive never seen such incompetence with something so routine.
Easy to schedule online and the staff was great. Better than spending all day at the ER and cheaper too.
I had a wonderful experience at AFC Urgent Care Castle Rock. Ive had experiences at a couple of the urgent cares in town, and this was hands down the best. Bonnie at the front desk welcomed me and checked me in with compassion and kindness, immediately starting the visit on a positive note. David brought me back to the exam room and went over my symptoms. He was very thorough and mindful. Rebecca, the provider, then came in and reviewed my test results and treatment options. She was attentive and made sure that I was comfortable with the treatment plan. Both she and David were caring and thoughtful about me as a patient and person. I felt very well-cared for and listened to the entire visit. Everyone I encountered here was so kind and attentive. While I know this cant always be the case, an added bonus was that there was no wait at all; they were able to see me right away and I was in and out in a half an hour. I recommend them for any urgent care needs, and will return in the event that I need urgent care in the future.Thank you for making it an easy, smooth, and (other than a sore throat) enjoyable experience!
The staff at this location is very kind and helpful. The process was quick, just what I needed when I woke up feeling awful. Many thanks!!
Unless you want them to charge you $150 at the time of service and also keep the full insurance reimbursement GO ELSEWHERE. I’ve been trying to get a refund from these people since April… for a date of service in December. No one calls back, no one knows how to help, they outsource their billing and now they “cannot locate the account.” Complete thieves and I will be reporting them to the insurance commissioner and the BBB. Looks like (from looking at other reviews) I’m not the first patient who has had this issue with them.
Everyone was nice, and it all went well. I only came for a drug screen, so Im not sure how the urgent care services would be. It was very clean. I would recommend based on my limited experience.
I tried the AFC Urgent Care for the first time. I recommend logging in and checking in from home before you Travel to the facility. I tried to login at the facility and had some problems with the login which the men at the front desk helped me with. Once we got that resolved, everything went quickly. We have noticed that there are not very many cars in the parking lot so, there is probably not a long wait very often. I would recommend this facility for routine urgent care needs.
Update 5/13: No response to BBB. Insurance says they paid on 3/20. No refund of overpayment as of 5/13. Repeated calls to their billing department have gone unresolved.Update: lowering my rating again due to continued lack of response to billing concerns. It has now been over 4 weeks since my I strange paid most of the visit. I have yet to get a refund by AFC. They stated that they never recorded my initial payment in office. The provider and care at this location were great. Staff was friendly and helpful. They were able to test onsite, which was great. There was in issue finding the medication prescribed and they helped with that also. Facility was clean. The one issue I have is that they took $149 to see us and my insurance processed their claim 4 days after the visit. Every time I call they say they have no record of my insurance paying anything. It has been 5 weeks now. I have since sent the EOB over to my credit card company because Im sick of calling AFCs outsourced billing department. Such a shame that the billing makes me not want to go back to an otherwise great place.
The doctor(Shilo Smith) I saw today was incredible! She was so knowledgeable, explained everything in detail, and most of all was very kind! I will definitely return to see her in the future! I have been experiencing severe neck pain for a very long time and was treated with a (miracle) injection type procedure. This procedure worked wonders on my pain, I went in at about a 9 (on a scale of 1-10)and left at around a 2! This is pain management at its best!!! Also, the two gentlemen working today were both so accommodating and helpful! What a wonderful staff at this location! I highly recommend trying it out for yourself!! She really did work miracles today!! Thank you sooo much!!
Wow, just wow. They were helpful, knowledgeable and creative in solving my eye issue. So thankful for the fun staff, from the ladies at the front, to Elijah and Scott. You winners, you.
Kelsey the nurse and Dr. Ken were absolutely amazing, they were wonderful their bedside manner was impeccable. They were prompt and very patient, knowledgeable and overall very professional. Highly highly recommend AFC Urgent Care in Castle Rock
I couldn’t not review! My husband was thrown from his mountain bike and came in with broken ribs (unbeknownst to us). We didn’t want to deal with the ER so we tried AFC. I’m so glad! My husband kept saying this feels like a private ER. They immediately sprang into action. Starting with Erin at the front desk being immediately concerned about his neck and head. David the RN came out and started asking questions then took him back to the emergency area. He didn’t rest until my husbands pain was less, wounds were cleaned and felt safe and secure being there. Megan who did his X-rays made sure he was comfortable in them positions required to take proper scans. And Michelle the provider immediately started an IV to ensure he was not in pain and full of fluids! She was quick to read his scans and confirm the diagnosis. She left us with a whole set of directions to ensure he remained comfortable and it’s all working! We will never use anyone else going forward!
Great place. Doctors are informed. I would only go there for urgent care.
The gal who worked the reception desk was very warm and friendly. She got us admitted right away. The PA who performed the physical was very thorough and did an excellent job. I was very pleased with the experience. I was seen right away and would recommend AFC Urgent Care to anyone needing a physical.
Worst urgent care facility Ive ever experienced. Took my daughter to be seen. The Doctor didnt seem to know what he was doing, very arrogant and created a hematoma when he was put in her IV, the girl at the front desk is rude and rolls her eyes at you. She talks to you like you are stupid. Will never return it recommend this place. Waste of money and they are expensive. I hate writing negative reviews however I just felt like I needed to share our experience at this facility.
The staff were very nice and helpful and the provider was great. She took the time to hear what was going on and then explain everything after. It is never a good time having to go to Urgent Care, but they made it as quick and pleasant as they could. Thank you!!
The staff was friendly and welcoming. The doc was empathetic and listened to me.
This place is amazing.. what was just a quick call regarding some information it turned into us making a trip here and man.. what service..sent me a registration link code so when we got there we can be seen immediately which we waited in the lobby like 20 seconds if that. Everyone was so friendly and the doctor was right on point with everything and was very intuitive and listened to extreme detail of our situation. I will absolutely come back for any urgent care needs. Thank you!!
Our family has used this urgent care many times over the years, and each time we get exceptional service. The entire staff, from the front desk onwards, is friendly, efficient, and delivers quality care. Highly recommended.
This is the first time I have gone to AFC, and the front desk was quick very nice and compassionate! They took care of my son pretty quickly. This was definitely a lot better than the little clinic or emergency room! I will definitely come back if needed! ☺️
The doctor who handled my sutures was funny, thorough and awesome. When I went back for the suture removal, the team was equally kind, gentle, knowledgeable and caring. I am so glad to have chosen AFC Urgent Care.
Super grateful to have urgent care at all BUTthe staff here needs to be trained to be more sympathetic and have a heart! …and sure, it goes both ways. I just remember myself and another patient who looked like hell were told, “we will be with you in 1 min,” while they were typing away…first off, we were the only ones in the waiting room. Second, a “hello” isn’t a hard request, is it? Thirdly, patients who walk into an urgent care are clearly and desperately in need of medical care so whatever it is that you are doing should be halted and you should immediately help the patient. My other complaint is having my card on file, I am not a fan especially with all the hacks going on. Also, go through my insurance first and then bill me. I understand fighting insurance companies are a headache but I feel like I’m the one getting the short end of the stick. Otherwise, the NP/PA/Dr. that helped me that day was efficient, she listened to my concerns and got me on my way.
I am in Colorado visiting family! I had to bring my son in and was so impressed with the staff and facility. It was a great experience! I have highly recommended this facility to my family.
Yes Beautiful women that work at the front desk was amazing work well with kids. Her personal was the best please let her know that we appreciate her and the doctor that seen us
The staff was amazing and very attentive to my needs. They made me feel at ease and understood my situation with no judgement, was very caring and showed compassion. I would highly recommend your staff to others. Erin the PA should receive the highest praise for the work she does. She took all my worries away and let me know you guys are there to tend to my medical needs. Truly a blessing!!
I have been to this location multiple times and every time i’m in and out so fast, and all the staff are so nice and efficient and caring!!! i will drive from parker any day just to come to this location instead of the parker urgent care.
We were glad with the service overall. We were seen pretty fast after we completed the check in process. The doctor and the team in general were very keen at helping my son and understanding what happened to him and what he needed to get better.
I came in with a potential broken ankle and was immediately serviced by Ryan at the front desk. Capri took care of my X-ray, both were very kind, helpful and personable. My provider Erin was super knowledgeable and gave great advice. I would definitely recommend this place
Rebecca penkoff NP is wonderful and has excellent bedside manner. Enjoyed working with her today despite feeling awful.
I called ahead of time to be seen, the waiting room was empty for two hours and still was not seen. The front desk was brand new and seemed to have no support at all/any training. I’ve been seen at an ER quicker. If it’s urgent do not come here. Once I was brought back it was quick, but sitting in the waiting room with no other patients being seen seems absurd. Doctor was not kind and very short. Lack any compassion is how it seemed.
Nice to work with Kelsey & Kathleen. They were both very helpful after a bad fall. I got in quickly and they were very professional.
Will never go back here. I made an online appt. I still waited over an hour, but understandable in an urgent care. NO ONE communicated with me this entire time. I was put in a room with loud thumping music next door for an hour with no one telling me anything. I had a very severe headache. But the care area had music playing on other side of the door I was behind. Turn it off. Ridiculous. When I left the room saying I couldn’t take it anymore, a doctor?? Said no! I’m coming right now! Never introduced herself. Talked over me loudly the entire time. No 2 way conversation. I was positive for Covid. She refused to examine me because she didn’t want to catch it! No exam whatsoever, and I finally got to explain after she stopped talking for 10 seconds that I have issues from Covid previously. AND asthma. Told me to make a doctors appt as soon as I left, I’ll need someone to listen to my lungs and make sure I’m ok. Negligence. Taller woman with dark hair working 3/26.
Came into this location and am extremely grateful eye did. Really welcoming staff, would highly recommend this location if you are looking for professional medical attention and friendly as well.
Overall smooth and pleasant experience from online scheduling to staff interaction. Personable staff that are bright in both attitude and their respective positions. I went in for one reason and had additional last minute questions/requests. Both MA and PA I worked with were thorough and direct with their directions and answers without making me feel rushed or unheard. As the first point of contact, the gal at the front desk was an absolute delight with a friendly kind energy that was welcoming and made the check-in process quick and pleasant. The lobby, exam room, and bathroom were all very clean. Thanks for all the help!
I received pretty good care and did not have to wait long. Unfortunately, I requested an itemized bill (to submit for reimbursement) and a week later they sent me...someone ELSES bill with all of their personal information!!! Goodness, talk about a breach of HIPPA. I contacted them, told them what happened, and request that they re-send MINE. I still have not received it, even though they said they would send it. Very unfortunate and frustrating, especially since the online chat to request it isnt actually live.
I had a wonderful experience with this urgent care. I was originally reluctant after ready some bad reviews but I had nothing but a positive experience. Everyone was nice and very helpful. I would definitely go back or recommend if ever needed.
Had a great experience on a rainy night. I called to book a Saturday appt, but they got me right in Friday night. Erin was super helpful with registration, Bryn was thorough with my vitals and intake, and my provider Rhonda was attentive and took care of my health concerns. I have been happy with this clinic every time I’ve visited.
Very friendly staff got me in and out quickly with a crystal clear diagnosis and care instructions. Thank you to the team at AFC Castle Rock!
Great experience at the Castle Rock AFC Urgent care. Everyone from Ethan at the front desk to Heather and especially Capi the X-ray tech were fantastic! Could only give 5 stars but would have given more if I could have.
I ended up at AFC because my normal family doctor was booked and couldn’t get me in for a few days. I felt crummy and since they were close by, I figured I’d give them a try. I walked in with no appointment and was seen within 20 minutes. Staff was fantastic and my medical assistant had the most amazing bedside manner! Overall I was in and out pretty quickly, which was great because I felt miserable! Thanks AFC, I’ll definitely be adding you to our families routine doctor list!
This place is top notch. The building is clean and the staff is second to none. From the moment you walk in they are kind, the physicians are thorough and I would suggest this location to anyone. Thank you for always being so reliable and taking such great care of me and my family.
A really nice and establish urgent cate in Castle Rock that also does Covid testing for those that are in need or seeking rapid testing.
I got in and got out within an hour. Everyone was kind and there were no extras thrown in…like they didn’t do extra procedures in order to charge me extra like I feel some urgent cares have done. I told the doc I wouldn’t need a note for work but then had to call them the following day for one. Megan (the receptionist) was on top of it and got me the letter from the doc. Overall, good experience.
I recently had an accident with a utility knife, and AFC Urgent Care in Castle Rock was there when I needed them. Despite a busy line, the staff efficiently checked patients in and out. They provided prompt care, and I appreciate their professionalism during a stressful time. They accept walk-ins, but a simple check-in online makes everything better.
I was seen at the AFC Urgent Care Aurora Saddle Rock location. Both the receptionist and PA Erin Mcmahon working on 9/26/23 in the evening were so kind and got me taken back before my reserved time. I was in and out so quick. The PA wanted me to get started on my antibiotic right away and said to call if I have any issues filling it, or if I dont see any improvement within a couple days to call them and they will send a different antibiotic to my pharmacy.Super professional team and this location was so convenient and close to my house. As a healthcare provider myself, I would absolutely recommend this team and location. Well done, ladies!
Everyone was super nice! I spoke with Bonnie at the front desk, Lisa Heather was the tech, and Rhonda was the provider. They were all understanding and compassionate. Will definitely be going here next time!
TERRIBLE experience. Went in for a flu and Covid test at 6:20pm. Got taken back within 5 minutes, tests administered within 2 minutes. Was told it would take 10 minutes for the results. My husband and I waited for over AN HOUR AND TEN MINUTES before he got up to ask them if we could get the results by phone. Immediately as he got up the provider was in the room with us, she was immediately acting rude and asking why my OBGYN would even want me on antibiotics (I’ve been sick for over a week and my OB told me that my immune system is compromised since I’m pregnant so I need antibiotics). The provider wouldn’t prescribe me anything, told me they were both negative and that was it. Went to the front for a copy of the results and both front ladies were apologizing profusely. Seemed they had just forgotten about us or the provider was in the back doing end of day paperwork instead? Ridiculous situation. This was the urgent care we went to often, we will never be back. Go somewhere else in our opinion!
The team at American Family Care at Castle Rock Urgent Care took care of me today! I appreciate Kelsey, the tech at the front desk, and Kathleen the provider, they helped me out the best they could under really weird circumstances. I appreciate all of their help and caring hearts! Thank you!
We really appreciated how friendly and personable the doctor and staff was, how quick and easy it was to get in and get proper care and how knowledgeable the doctor and nurse was. I felt like they really cared about us.
Got me in fast, top notch clinical skills and communication, all very helpful. Great atmosphere for a clinic too- old school price is right with Bob barker on the TV in the waiting room!
Everyone was super friendly and amazing! Each employee tended to our needs and made us feel comfortable. We will be returning to this location in the future for all of our Urgent Care needs!
Love this urgent care! All the providers have been so amazing. We have brought all our kids here as they are more afraid of going to the pediatrician than the urgent care. Plus, we love knowing how much the appt is going to be before hand. The tiered pricing system is super nice. No surprises.
The team there was great. Kyrie was really helpful and quick to get my checked in. Rhonda is a great provider and gave me a wealth of good information. The tech I had was Elijah. He was very informative and gave solid advice on things not even related to what I went in for. He was attentive and kept the environment not too serious. Both he and Rhonda made me feel comfortable and not nervous about being there. It also helps that hes Gorgeous. The fee was really reasonable, Ive been to other places that cost triple the amount. I would definitely revisit again.
Very disappointed with AFC’s billing department. We were charged $149 for my husband’s urgent care visit, which included X-ray services, even though this center was in our insurance network. (No issue with the care of service.) Following the EOB, which confirmed he should have only paid $45, we have been unsuccessful at receiving the $104 credit back to our credit card. We have tried to reach someone in their billing section about this issue. After leaving a couple of messages, all we have been told is a check would be in the mail. It’s been 7 weeks since his appointment. We had to leave another message today. I simply don’t understand why they cannot credit the over charge to our credit card.
Great experience overall. Checkin was easy and the woman at the front desk called my insurance when it didn’t run through properly.Wait was about an hour (we got in line online so that helped). Once we were able to be seen the gentleman who helped us recommended I go to the ER and recommended Castle Rock Adventist.Turns out I need 2 emergency surgeries (1 down, 1 to go). So thank you to the team here for believing my concerns and recognizing that the ER was the necessary place for me.
My daughter had to get stitches in her chin and the staff was incredible! The provider as well as the tech and front desk staff were so personable and caring for my little girl. They made her feel so comfortable and safe, and I cannot say enough great things about them. This is the first place I would take my family if they got sick because of the amazing staff!
My recent visit to AFC Urgent Care - Castle Rock, for what turned out to be a terrible sinus infection, was one of the most positive experiences Ive ever had at any emergency care facility. Brittany at the reception desk was very nice and checked me in in record time. My Nurse/Tech, Heather, was very caring and patient in trying to understand what my symptoms were, which put me at ease. My NP, Jodi, was also very compassionate and thorough and spent more time with me than I ever would of expected. I left feeling very confident that I had been properly diagnosed and treated and was glad I had made the decision to go to that clinic. I would highly recommend AFC Urgent Care - Castle Rock to anyone who finds themselves in need of urgent care.Sonia
It’s never an ideal situation to have to go to an urgent but this has been the best experience I’ve had at one. Breanna was a ray of sunshine in otherwise trying times and made the experience much more pleasant for us. We’ll be coming here without a doubt in the future whenever an urgent care is required.
Went here with an upper respiratory illness. I was having wheezing and trouble breathing. Everyone was extremely nice and I felt listened too. The PA and MA checked my Oxygen levels several times and took a chest X-ray. I felt they were very thorough. I was given a steroid injection in-office and a prescription for an inhaler for home. Three days later I feel SO much better! Thank you for your staffs amazing care!
Thank goodness I was able to get in rather quickly. Definitely encourage patients to pre-register. I was also advised which pharmacy would be more responsive and get my prescriptions quickly. Melissa Grobb, NP was quick, caring, efficient, and took additional precautions.
The overall energy of the place wasn’t great; the front desk staff wasn’t welcoming and were squabbling amongst themselves as I waited. I had a hurt ankle and could barely walk but the person who walked me back to a room left me in the dust, didn’t offer to help me get on the exam or X-ray table. Despite all this however, the PA who saw me was incredible and I wish I made a stronger mental note of her name to pay her my compliments.
While I didn’t like the new $99 standard fee.. with insurance! This place made up with it with their extremely friendly staff. From the moment we stepped in our room Elijah was amazing with my kids. And our provider Pat was equally amazing and very good with kids. I recommend if you need to find out something quick.
I was seen at this AFC on 1/10 after having a bad cold for 18 days that kept getting worse. I was in and out quickly, and I was prescribed antibiotics to help, but only 5x worth. I was told at the appt that was to try and curb any of those unwanted side effects, like yeast infections, but if it didn’t do the trick to call back for more. Fast forward to 1/26 and after about 10 days of feeling better I started feeling sick again, and this morning (1/28) woke up with yellow mucus. So I called back to ask for more antibiotics. I’m told I need to come in again. Which is $50 co pay. Instead of giving me the option to have a refill of abx, which is what I was told at the intial appt. First visit was very efficient and was very satisfied, but with this second interaction I will not be returning.
I had a 4:00 appointment and went in with severe lower back pain I waited in the waiting room 2 hours and they never took me back. No one communicated with me beyond checking me in, if a patient has severe back pain you don’t make them sit in a chair for 2 HOURS!!! I will never use this urgent care again.
This was my second visit to AFC and the staff here is amazing. Lisa and Bonnie at the front desk were so helpful, kind, and professional. They answered all of my questions and helped me with my insurance and payment. Scott and Heather were also great. Both answered all of my questions and were very timely. Overall, the staff is welcoming and professional.
Lisa is always super nice and sweet greeting people and checking them into appointments, Heather is an amazing tech always caring and awesome with her patients. Ed was very informative and very well mannered provider. I enjoy this clinic very much . The staff is friendly and positive!
The staff was incredibly helpful and sweet! I was greeted by Kyrie who got me checked in immediately, and after finishing all of the necessary documents to check me in, I was taken back where Elijah had quickly gotten all the information needed to be able to diagnose my symptoms! I was out of there maybe within 45 minutes it was so fast, helpful and such a great experience!
We had a fantastic experience at AFC. Despite being a Saturday and extremely busy, they are very efficient. The front desk manager, Bonnie was incredibly sweet, compassionate and handled the population of folks waiting with a professional and caring manner. We got our results quickly and these folks here at AFC are very reliable. Thank you Bonnie, you were a breath of fresh air during a very stressful time for us!
Came to see what was going down and why I felt like garbage, body aches, headache. And they are jaming out to Korn, Ozzie, and Hip Hop. Never been in a Dr office feeling like crap with music blaring making my headache worse. I would recommend a professional environment if your sick.PA was super nice, nurse seemed annoyed. Got in and out. Just the way I like.
All the staff members at a f c were very helpful and considerate! Kelsey, Bonnie, Michelle, Becca and Everyone who has ever assisted me there. Sorry if I didnt remember everyones name but you ALL get a gold star from me ! Thanks, Marshall
If I could, I would give 0 stars, but I cant. I went in for difficulty breathing from a reaction from an allergy. I was brought back to an exam room and then forgotten about for an entire hour. I was sweating and having difficulty breathing. After an hour, a provider came in and listened to my lungs. I we given a steroid and no discharge paperwork upon leaving. I then received a call from Bonnie, the owner, after my text of how my visit went, and she was very unprofessional and condescending. She wouldnt listen to what I had to say or try to make things better. I would not recommend sending your loved one here. I spent $100 to be forgotten about and to have mediocre care.
Our initial experience with AFC was great and the staff was friendly and incredibly helpful. The following two visits have not been the same. We have had to fill out paperwork and intake forms every visit, on top of reminding the staff why we are here- even though that information should be showing and reviewed in my husbands chart. During the second visit my husband tried to voice his concerns and questions and was dismissed by the provider. The wait times are long during every step of the appointment, which is crazy because the facility is never busy enough to account for the amount of time spent waiting. It’s unfortunate but we will be looking forward to not returning to this location. The only reason to give this facility 2 stars is thanks to the initial PA we saw and the workers comp MD we saw.
This review is not for the front desk answering calls... expect a 10 to 1 chance of having someone pick up the phone. When this is addressed, it will make all the difference in terms of overall experience. This review is specifically for Thomas Dickey, who I saw on my second visit. There was a mistake made in my initial visit, but I was blown away at how he stepped in to make things better. He listened and took time to understand the situation and find the best route to go and, most importantly, was super thorough. Even though I thought I didnt need it, he ordered a specific test to be done before starting treatment. It was a good thing he did as it uncovered something I didnt realize I was struggling with and made all the difference in terms of direction to go. The nurse I saw named Julia was also super helpful during the visit and she even remembered me from the first time when I didnt remember her! Everyone there seems caring and to have your best interest in mind.
Love this urgent care, friendly and caring from checkin to finish. Very well communication from online reservation and texting reminder. In addition, the wait time is short plus all the people are super friendly. Will definitely return not just for myself but for my family members, thank you.
Ive been here a few times, but will never return. Only one other person in front of me in the waiting room and I still spent about 4 hours there. (This includes waiting to be seen and receiving care). Everyone was friendly which was really the only high point of my experience. At the end there were about 3 to 4 medications that were to be sent to CVS to be filled. I contacted CVS and they informed me they were never called in. I contacted the urgent care back to see what the delay was, unfortunately no one answered and I left a voicemail.... This was two days ago and no call back and no prescriptions. At this point I no longer want them. They also doubled the service fee because apparently they cant get a hold of insurance companies!?!? I assume insurance companies dont want to deal with them. Sounds like a scam. So I basically paid 100 bucks to hang out at this clinic for 4 hours. Also the test results I was waited for never came in. The testing company they sent it to informed me that this hack company never even sent the specimen to be tested. Stay away is my advice. There are other places nearby.
Thank you for being so prompt and extremely thorough!I brought my daughter in very sick and we had a short wait time and the provider made sure to test for everything and made us feel very well taken care of!
7/18/23 UPDATE:We still do not have a refund from AFC Urgent Care. Im not at all happy and will never go back to this clinic. I filed a complaint with Aetna. Contracted providers are supposed to call Aetna for benefit info and are not supposed to bill members up front. If AFC had done their job, Aetna would have told them that all COVID related visits are covered at 100%.6/23/23 Update:Unfortunately, my experience with AFC is going from 5 stars to 1. The day we went to the clinic we were billed $198.00 up front even though AFC is in network for our Aetna insurance. I told them I had already met my deductible and Aetna would pay at least a portion of my bill. I was assured I would receive a refund once Aetna processed our claims. Our claims were processed and paid in full by Aetna on 4/8/23 and I have not been refunded the $198.00 I am very frustrated and would not refer anyone to this clinic because of this. Ive called twice to check on the status of my refund and was told its on the list being worked. Im not happy. My husband and I both got COVID for the first time recently and went to AFC to get re-tested. The entire process with this clinic was very simple and every person we came in contact with, front desk, medical assistant, and PA were all SO nice. Very happy with the care we got here and will use them again!
I brought our baby in to be seen here, and I was very impressed! They were professional, thorough and very quick. I was done in 30 minutes, which is crazy fast for urgent care!
This urgent care was the best care we have received and in quite some time. I brought my 2 and 4 year old here to be checked and they were beyond welcoming and helpful. The staff Elijah Lorisa, and Karin were amazing.
My son had step and we were able to quickly and easily schedule an appointment. Sam, Ryan and Pat were all amazing and were so good at making my 13 year old, who did not feel good, at least feel comfortable. They were so engaging with him! Thank you for taking good care of us every time we visit!
Lisa, David & Erin were awesome. I came in with a couple of pretty good sized gashes & wasnt looking forward to being stitched up, but the 3 of them made it a pretty seamless procedure. I will definitely come back & see them if I ever find myself in another situation!
Overall great experience! Want to send a special shout out to Elijah, Sam, Capri and Rhonda. Service was quick and efficient. Each one of them was friendly and informative. Thank you for making me feel welcomed while being seen for my concerns. Highly recommended for sure.
If you want to be put down and embarrassed about your medical needs, this is your place! The nurse treated us rudely with no respect or understanding or compassion and had a terrible attitude the whole time. After spending hundreds on an appointment didn’t even get seen for what we requested. Didn’t address a sickness issue we asked. We’ve spent probably thousands here over time and we’ll never NEVER be back.
Our tech Elijah did a wonderful job. He was very kind and respectful. Ed our provider did a great job too. We got our results fast and accurate. Staff in general was fantastic.
Staff was super kind and helpful. Didn’t take too long to get in and out either. Definitely coming back!
I went to AFC castle rock to get an x ray of my hand due to pain and an abnormal lump. Bonnie at the front desk was extremely helpful, i have kaiser permanente as my insurance provider and though it was out of network she was still able to get it to go thorough. She said that as Kaiser has no local facility it is some requirement that they have to pay, i dont understand it fully, im just appreciative she took the time and effort into trying. After briefly waiting to see my healthcare provider Erin she took a look at my hand and thought it best i get an x ray and follow up with a specialist. Next time i need any kind of urgent care, AFC castle rock is my #1 choice.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. I had the PCR test taken and the person taking the sample did not swab anything. She just put it up and back down and didnt rub anything. The results came back negative the next day but I immediately took a rapid home test and it was positive. Left a message of my concern and had not heard back.
Dr.Pat Brandt! I have had so many issues with sinus infections lately. When I went to other Dr.’s they prescribed me antibiotics and made me feel very bad for being there. Dr.Brant took the time to explain everything that was happening to me, what to do, and what to expect. All the other staff was amazing as well. I didn’t feel bad for being there or asking questions. I called at 4:30 and got there and right in at 5:07 by just calling ahead. For Our urgent care needs I will not go anywhere else. I’ve also been there with my seven-year-old son before and it has always been the most amazing experience. I appreciate you all so much you really don’t know how much!
Thank you Lisa, Elijah, Gurepet, and Ed PA for taking such great care of my two children this past month. I have been an RN for 8 years and This place is AMAZING. The team is Competent, safe, professional, and courteous. They helped me stay calm during a very stressful time. Ed, PA is every thorough and even called to follow up the next day! If your not feeling well, this is the place to be!! Thank you! - Emily Wright
If you’re looking to feel embarrassed and put down for your medical needs this is the place. Had some urgent needs as well as some embarrassing medical issues. I was looking for help and was met with a irritated NP who wouldn’t help with most of my issues, except for one minor issue in which I almost had to beg her for and was made to feel like a drug addict for asking. I needed a refill of my thyroid medication and to be checked out because I’ve been sick for two weeks. None of that was addressed. I told the nurse everything I needed and left, sobbing and helpless. With these very serious issues I have. Don’t waste your money and time to get verbally and emotionally put down and definitely don’t go if you really need help. Or for medication.
Everyone was kind, supportive, and efficient. From the front desk, to the MA, to the Dr, you could tell everyone cared and that they were passionate about what they do. The doctor isn’t always a fun place to go, but Faith, Elijah, and Erin made the experience as good as it possibly could be.
Been here multiple times and the staff are very nice but they will only help when you test positive for something. I was once sent to the ER from a PA here because she believed I had a abscess in my throat and that it was very urgent that I needed to go, well I went and had an infection that’s treated with antibiotics…then recently I was sent home with nothing but a cold and now I’m having to see another doctor because half of my face is swollen and I can’t swallow…yeah idk about how serious this place is unless you need stitches or a strep test 🤷♀️
This continues to be my go-to urgent care for four years and counting. I love the location, ease of being seen in a timely manner, and staff. Elijah and Erin were professional, kind, and made my experience stress-free.
Very friendly, concerned, focused , happy staff. Elijah and Erin were on top of troubleshooting my medical concerns. I left with a valid answer of which is the only time here in Colorado I have walked out of an urgent care feeling like I didnt waste my time. Keep up the good work and thank you so much.
- Update: September 5th, I am constantly told a check was issued on August 1st! and mails are slow, 45 days? For a domestic mail? What a joke, left a message for the center admin, got a rude phone call back, trying to embarrass me for calling several times, I am going to report these guys to Credit card company, fed up.-- August 23rd: Update: 3.5 months after day of service, no refund nothing, billing department is a joke! They can not provide any status whatsoever,-- Any other AFC, they send you the invoice later or they check your benefits and they charge you accordingly, this place, they charge you a $100 first then submit your claim to your insurance and Issue a refund if you paid too much.64 days after the day of visit, no refund, they owe me $80 and I am tired of calling and being told it will take couple more months! (Basically as of now, I am track for half a year of processing for a refund potentially!)Go to any other AFC if you can, to me, it does make zero sense they overcharge you (without checking your benefits) and keeping your money for several months and I am still not issued a refund.
All were competent and pleasant. Diagnosis was thorough. Dr wore a mask into the room. I felt very well taken care of. I would visit again if needed. Thank you all!
Breanna answered the phone and help me immediately! She was able to answer the questions other cate places could not, especially about insurance. When I came in she set me up with everything I needed fast and swift like shes very helpful and would be glad to come back to AFC to make them my Primary Care Provider:)
We had an appointment for a Covid test at 6 PM, it is now 7:19pm and I have three children with me. They said they had two hand lacerations come in and they couldn’t get to us for another 20 minutes! This place is the Worst
This is a GREAT urgent care! We have been there many times and ALL the staff is so kind and helpful! Wait times are usually not bad at all, and the vibe is relaxed and reassuring. During Covid they were super helpful in getting us scheduled ahead of time for testing to go see our kids in Hawaii. We were able to depend on them to have the correct rapid tests on hand, all the paperwork ready to go, and got us in and out in a timely fashion for our flights. Shoutout to the front desk for (kindly) answering all of this stressed mama’s questions with the needed info!
Elijah and Sam were funny and kind. They both were so personable, which really makes a difference when you arent feeling well. Sam was really great and called me by my name a lot, which made me feel like I was more than just the 20th patient hed seen that day.Sam even checked in when the wait was getting long.Capri and Sam both cam to check in again and offered me water while Ken was finishing with another patient.Ken was also super nice and a pleasure. I wouldnt question coming back.
This place is amazing. My 11yro daughter needed stitches and was very worried and scared. From the time we walked in we were greeted with a smile. With a short wait we met Bonnie and PA T. Dickey, they were so welcoming and friendly. They were so patient with her and fun. Both worked to keep her mind off the pain and made her feel comfortable. This experience could have been so different had they not truly cared and not been patient with her. Thank you for making this situation better for her and me! I will definitely recommend this facility and team. Thanks again. You guys were awesome!
WILL CHARGE YOUR CARD FOR NO REASON DO NOT LET THEM KEEP ON FILEWent here back in March. Have access to the portal where I can view my $0 balance with them yet get over $100 charge for no reason. Taking money out of my account and then not being able to give me a confirmation if they will refund is unacceptable and should be ILLEGAL.
Love that I can schedule a time that works best for me and come in the same day.I have seen Dr. Gilmet a few times and he is always friendly and actively listens to whats going on before moving to how he can help.
I was treated like a queen it was as if they knew me and I had been a long time patient. David was professional friendly put me at ease with the covid test strep test and everything else that needed to be taken care of he communicated what was going on and how long it would take he was amazing receptionist was great too even though I was a few minutes late.
By the time you decide you need to go to an Urgent Care, you are already sick, hurt, stressed... this place took some of that away. The check in person Bonnie was very kind and helpful; I didnt have to wait very long (20 minutes) before I was taken back to be seen. Both Brittany and Jodi were kind, professional and helped to make me feel better, which is what we all want and need! The facility was clean and bright and I even received a little goody bag with some nice teas! If you have to go to an Urgent Care, this is a good one! Thank you AFC!
Six months, no refund for over collection--If you use insurance, check your EOB against what they collect at time at service. As other reviews state, they collect something at time of service without knowing the status of your insurance/deductible. Unless you have preset copays for urgent care, this means they are just guessing what you might owe. This results in people getting over billed. For us, six months post visit, no refund ($67). Called billing and they said they would put me on an expedited refund list/excel sheet. Supposedly if you call they will expedite your refund.I assume this means they over bill so often that they are more than 6 months behind in refunding customers, or they have no intention of refunding until you ask for one. Never had this issue at any medical provider, not sure why its an issue here.
I needed a rapid Covid test for traveling out of the country, and I called different places all over Denver without success until finally, I was able to speak with Gavin here. He was so helpful on the phone and even bumped up my appointment time so that I would be able to go first thing in the morning before my flight. Once I got there the staff was so friendly and helpful and made the process very smooth.
Staff are so friendly! Not crowded. Online booking holds your place in line. Karin the PA had a great suggestion for getting my 36 hour headache to break! Thank you for following up a couple days later to ask how I am doing! I have been there many times and have had great experiences every time. This is my go-to place! Elijah and Lorisa were great also!
I came in early and there were already 4 people ahead of me.Being my first time there, I needed to register but was having difficultu completing the questionaire on line. The receptionist was very helpfu and assisted mi with the registration.I had bearly sat down to wait my turn when I was called in. The provider, Erin, was fantastic and gave me a very goood feeling. They were very courteous and helpful. They took some tests and when they came back told me what to take for my ailment .I am very grateful for their kindness and I will definitely go back to AFC next time I need medical assistance.
My experience was absolutely terrible. Awful customer service, awful professionalism and awful communication. I have issues that are not being escalated to superiors. If you want to spend 2 weeks getting basic medication, and an addition 2 weeks getting someone to call you back. Have it it! AFC is your place. If your sane, and have any ounce of brain matter in your head. You will not subject yourself to they’re borderline Malpractice.
There arent enough words of praise and thank you that I can express. My 87 year old father in-law felt ill last night so around 530pm we went to the Urgent Care. From the moment we walked in, the care, attention, professionalism and a sense of true care was evident from the three gentlemen working: Elijah, Sam and Edward. My father in-law felt much better afterwards. Each of them showed true concern for our situation and offered encouragement. Thank you so much, your genuine concerns truly left an impact on us.
Great experience. Bonnie at the front desk is really nice and super helpful. the wait didnt take long and helped me with exactly what I needed. Best place for urgent care!
Bonnie at the front desk was an absolute pleasure! Our family of 5 all came in with the flu and they worked with us to not overcharge us for tests we really didn’t need to do. BestExperience at urgent care thus far!
Great Clinic, wonderful staff. I reside in Canada now and needed a quick covid test in order to fly. This clinic took great care of me this morning, from Mark at the front desk who was friendly and helpful, to David the Medical Assistant who was very tender and caring while he was performing my test and then Karin, the Physician Assistant, who had a wonderful, caring, and very friendly personality that came in to see me at the completion of my visit. I sincerely appreciated all three of these staff members today as I had some anxiety about coming in and they all helped alleviate this free-floating anxiety for me. Would highly recommend this clinic next time you are feeling ill or need Covid 19 testing 😊.
I would like to start out by saying I have never left a bad review for any business in my life. This was the absolute worst urgent care visit I have experienced. The person who saw me was extremely incompetent and unprofessional (Im not even sure if she had her medical license to any degree to be honest- she looked like she just rolled up off the street).I went in for a sinus infection and shingles (which I have had before so I know the signs/ symptoms and just needed medication since Ive had it for 4 weeks now) and she completely ignored me when I mentioned the area I thought was shingles because she clearly had no idea what she was doing. She spent 1 minute with me checking my vitals for the sinus infection and prescribed me a Zpack then walked out the door and I had to call her back in to discuss the shingles- she said she didnt know how to treat and said I needed to see a dermatologist for the rash I told her multiple times I have had shingles before and these are the same symptoms. All she said was she didnt know. She should have been straight up with me and told me she had no idea what she was doing. Im absolutely shocked with the care of this facility, I basically paid $100 and wasted an hour of my time for nothing. I would say dont even waste your time here, all this lady knows how to do is prescribe a Zpack.
Our experience from the moment we walked in, to the moment we left. We felt welcomed and taken care of, The doctor was very patient with my son and answering/explaining everything to him!!!! 10/10 will most definitely recommend!!!
The staff here are amazing! We had to get COVID tests to be able to travel out of the country, and we dealt with Bonnie and Sabrina at the front desk. Both were so nice and helpful - they were able to squeeze us into an appointment at the last minute and make sure we were getting in early enough to get our COVID test results before departure.I’m sure they are dealing with a ridiculous amount of unwarranted attitude from people - especially with the pandemic and how busy they constantly are, but you would never know based on the staff’s smiles and pleasant treatment of their patients! This will definitely be the only urgent care I choose to go to moving forward!
My two year old had an accident where he needed to get staples for a cut on his head. This was his first big accident, and as a new mom, it was pretty stressful! Fortunately, Capri, David, and Erin went above and beyond to ensure my son felt safe and comfortable during the visit. From Goldfish snacks to talking about Monster trucks, both my son and I walked out of the clinic happy and relatively healthy! ❤️❤️❤️
I went in for a spontaneous physical needed due to another clinic not being able to see me soon enough. They were very straight forward, organized, and their facility is spotless. I was very impressed with how kind and compassionate they were while doing their jobs. The Nurse Practitioner Jodi, was so professional and kind. Very easy to talkwith.
I called Sunday for a covid test and they got me in within the hour, they did a rapid test and a send out test and were able to get my results back before I started my new job Tuesday morning. Everyone was super helpful and thorough, I have a small baby at home so I was also concerned for her safety and they took that all into consideration when helping me navigate how to handle the situation. Everyone was so great, thank you for making a stressful experience very pleasant and speedy!
The staff here is absolutely incredible. I’ve never felt comfortable outside of my own doctors office, but they broke that wall and were all so warm and inviting. Sadly I had to go twice within a week due to a medication issue. With that my doctor on staff (so bad at names, so terribly sorry!!) actually gave me so me such helpful advice on different options for prescriptions and how to talk to my own doctor. A big thank you to your entire team, also a huge thank you to James who was there both times and always found the vein! Highly recommend to anyone.
Elijah was wonderful and attentive! Erin was quick and efficient and willing to listen to our concerns! Best experience at an urgent care! Ever!! Keep up the great work!
Service was always wonderful, but dealing with their billing department is time consuming and has gotten me nowhere. My family and I were seen on 3 separate occasions and each time we had to pay $99 (new this year, no real explanation given even when using insurance). We were told if insurance covered our visit we would be getting a refund in the mail. Its been nearly 6 months since the first visit and no refund has been sent even though insurance has paid them. AFC also sent me a bill, it made no sense, when I called they said it was a mistake, ya right. I have called and spoken to representatives from billings who have all given me the run around and still I have not yet been paid. Sadly, because of their billing, I will never return there.
Highly recommend this facility! I found them on my insurance website as an in network provider while on vacation in Castle Rock. I brought in my 2 very sick toddlers after making a convenient online appointment from their website. Everyone from the front desk to the nurses to the provider we saw were kind, professional, prompt and genuinely concerned. I then called the next day just before closing time with questions about medication and symptoms. I spoke to Dr. Michelle and she was very thorough, spoke with me at length and never sounded like she was rushed or inconvenienced by my concerns. I would recommend AFC to anyone and if I lived here this would be the Urgent Care for my family. Thank you AFC and Dr Michelle!
I went to this place for a walk-in COVID test. While waiting in my car to be called, I got to observe the impressive volume of patients walking in and out of this office. Yet, the waiting room was never crowded, and the atmosphere was never tense. The staff was amazing at managing the in-flow without making any contact. Understandably, there was a bit of a wait for me to get called in. But once in, I was promptly seen, examined, given the test, and made to be on my way. Even though it was clearly a very busy day for this office, every single staff member (from the front desk to the medical assistant to the PA) was pleasant and compassionate. Since my visit, I have called the office several times to get updates and Bonnie at the front desk treated me with amazing understanding, kindness and patience. These are crazy, scary and somewhat impatient times. Thank you to you all for being awesome humans, for doing what you do, and for making my covid test experience -- a good one. :)
Everyone was very kind and attended me nicely! Alondra, Adnan and Rebecca were quick and efficient, treated me with care and made sure to ask all the questions to understand my situation. I will definitely come here next in time of need.
Fantastic service. We were in a bind and they really went out of the way to help us. Actually cares about the patients. Elijah our tech and Erin our provider were both amazing!
Used AFC in Castle Rock a few time for COVID tests required for business travel. As long as you make an appointment youll be in and out before you know it.When a flight change pushed us outside the 72-hour window we had to re-test and they got us in quickly and charged a heavily discounted rate for the second test. Excellent customer service.Did hear non appointment people whining about the wait. So make sure you book ahead on their website.
Loved how easy pre check in was and wait time was minimal. Place was clean. Staff was very helpful and got me better!
Edit: June 24th, 2023. I have finally received a check for my refund. 9 months later.Don’t do business here.Edit: We are now in June 2023 and I still have not received the money owed. It’s going to be a full year soon.Edit: It’s May 1st, 2023 and I still have not received the money owed to me. I am owed $89. I’ll keep updating this so everyone knows what kind of thieves they are dealing with.Edit: I visited in October 2022 and we are now in April 2023. I still have not received the money they owe me. I will continue to update this review every month.I visited this facility mid October because I thought I might have broken my nose. It was Sunday and the lady at the front desk said the X-ray Tech wasn’t there but they could still look at it. She was insistent that I needed to pay $99 now, even though they were in network and I showed her that it’s supposed to only be $10.I went ahead and paid the $99 with her telling me that I would get refunded the difference in 2-3 weeks and was given the number for accounts payable.I was brought back, had my vitals taken and waited in a room to only have a PA arrive and tell me that they can’t do anything and I should go to the ER.Went to the ER and was taken in right away and wasn’t told to pay any amount upfront.AFC Urgent Care did go ahead and bill my insurance for $300. The Explanation of Benefits from my insurance showed that I should get most of my money refunded. I spoke with accounts payable in late November. The lady I spoke with said that they were working on issuing checks for this location and their Aurora location and there was about 70 accounts ahead of me.It’s January now and I have yet to see anything. I used this facility because of how well they did when I had Covid a year ago. I’m definitely not impressed and won’t be going back.At this point, I doubt I will see any of my money and I will just take it as a lesson to never do business with them again. There are a ton of other places in Castle Rock, don’t waste your time here.Edit: I see that there was a response to this review. I have already called at the end of November to get my refund after my insurance has paid you. I originally saw you in October and we are almost into February and still no refund.I do not think I should have to keep contacting you to make sure you do the right thing. This has been an awful experience and you guys have taken the money from my insurance company and myself. You have taken more than you were supposed too.I have done my part and my insurance company did theirs. It’s you who has failed to do your part. I see the other reviews and this seems to be a common issue.Edit #2 ~ It’s now March 2023 and I still have yet to see a dime back from this company. They still owe me money and there has been no effort to pay me. I’ll keep updating this review until I get paid.
Our family has been to this Urgent Care quite a few times and they have always been nice to work with and good at what they do. Doctors explain things clearly and arent condescending. This last visit everybody from Elijah and Lindsey at the front desk to Sam and Daniel the techs, to Dr Eason-Delhoughne were great! Thanks!
Prompt and friendly service from everyone in office. Capri and Ken were awesome and a great help.
My entire family comes here. We have seen many great providers and staff. Capri is always very patient with my children and kind!!! They’ve helped with everything from sickness to injury and we always leave knowing we had great care!
First time visiting this Urgent Care. They took me in right at my appointment time and provided timely and efficient care. Took my VA Medical info with no questions asked. I will definitely return if I need to!
With the bad storm coming in I had to push my flight forward by 2 days, that said my original COVID test results would not be back in time for my new departure date and time. The ladies at front desk were truly so helpful in getting me in for a rapid covid test to ensure I could get on my international flight. I was so great full for their help as I have not seen my family for 3 years and I would not have gotten to see my family without that test. The medical staff were also friendly and professional. All round great experience. Thanks again!
Went late on Sunday; got right in; exceedingly pleasant and competent people front desk Erin, Tech David, provider Scott. Got a quick covid test and lungs checked out; meds reviewed; advice given. Totally satisfied. Compared to the hassle of trying to get an appt or even a human on the phone at most primary care doctors, urgent care clinics the way to go. They actually listen to you and dont rush you out.
Our daughter was very sick and they were able to get us in early in the morning for a strep test. The staff was amazing and very efficient. Elijah especially was extremely helpful and kind.
I was in town visiting my grandkids and was flying back to NY that afternoon. I had fell playing hockey with my grandson and couldn’t walk as my foot appeared broken. The staff from the receptionist to every person I met that morning were amazing! They made sure I was set up to get x-rays done ASAP took the time to talk with me and make sure I was ready to get on my flight that afternoon! Although I was unable to get the x-rays done (no fault of AFC) I was told at the X-ray department when I called that the machine was down. I decided to just get the X-rays at home the next day. Honestly I work in the medical field (orthopedic department weird right.) I only wish the hospital I worked for had as many accommodating and kind people as AFC do) Thank you all !!!
I’ve been here twice with my son over the last year. They’re very courteous, Elijah is awesome with my son. They check all the symptoms out, we found out he has strep as well as pink eye (came for pink eye) and we were in and out within a reasonable amount of time.
We had a good experience here. Everyone from the front desk, to the physician was very nice. The wait was not overly long. Only complaint was we had to call in for a different prescription a couple days later and they said they would send it to the pharmacy but we had to call again the next day since someone forgot. But I do get that they are busy.
Im horrible with names but everyone; from the front desk person, the nurse and the PA went above and beyond to help me today. I appreciate their patience and support today. Thank you for all you guys do. I will gladly recommend you guys and this AFC Urgent Care for anyone who may need to see a medical professional but cannot see this primary quickly. Thank you again!
